Turbo1904?
The Keystone Cops were funny
Chaplin, Keaton, and Fields too.
Laurel & Hardy and Will Rogers
were some of the names we knew.
Who can forget the Stooges
or all the pies we saw them throw.
Who didn't laugh at the Brothers Marx
or Abbot & Costello?
Berle, Caesar, Crosby & Hope
could always bring a tear.
So would Allen, Paar, Kovacs, and Carson
as they guffawed us to the floor.
Gleason had Carney, Martin had Lewis, Lucy had Desi
and Carol Burnett had her crew.
Cosby, Pryor, and Murphy
all taught us to laugh anew.
Cohen, Benny, Diller, Rivers, and Rickles
are names that we recollect.
Who wouldn't fall out of his chair
when Rodney "Got no respect."
Let's not leave out any of the Brits as
Benny Hill, Mr. Bean, and the Two Ronnies were funnier than some.
Their take on humor was a bit different from our own
But that's why we had such fun with Faulty Towers and Monty's Python.
We have had Billy, Whoopi, Robin, and Carlin,
Johnny, Jay, Dave, and too many more to name.
But each still brings us laughter,
Today their job's the same.
They still poke fun at life's human side
as did the jester who first began the gaff.
So, when a comic entertains you...
Be generous with your laughs.
A tribute to Malcolm
Malcolm Jamal Warner
Was his name
Heaven sure did gain
An angel on earth
Now he's up in the skywatching over us
To us, he was the big brother we always wanted, you know
He was Theo from the Cosby show
He was an all-around outstanding guy
We never questioned why
He was so genuine and would give
He is the true definition of May the life you live
Speak volumes
And it did
He was our television brother , doctor, and friend
It's tragic how his life had to come to an end.
But I will tell you something
In the midst of his death
He was living
Out his dreams
Enjoying his self
Living , loving , loving, and living
Malcolm, thanks for the gift that keeps on giving
He was more than an actor
Yes, you know it
He was a musician, and let's not leave out a poet
He speaks , he spoke , and has spoken ??
The real
He just wanted to give, give back, and he did
So selfless, not selfish ,
King, you did
You did good deeds
You planted hope in others to let them succeed
A rare person who stamped his legacy on this earth
You impacted us all
Yes, you did
Thanks
For helping us paint
Better tomorrow's
Even when we are going through sorrows
We all are on borrowed time
So Malcolm, you did fine , you did well
You completed your mission
You excelled
Thanks for being the calmness before a storm
Thanks for being the Gentle giant
That meant no one no harm
A great husband , a great dad , a great friend
A great person who wanted everyone to win
You got your wings, and so much more
The angels open the gates
Thanks for being one of the greats
You paved the way
Salute you did
This is my tribute to the one we all loved
Malcolm rest in power with all of our love

in the 1940s many movie comedies dealt with heaven
hell, reincarnation, the devil, angels, body snatching
I get a channel called Classic Reel with my Roku
The movies shown are from the 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and 60’s
I saw three of these shows this week
the one about hell was spooky in black and white
maybe more creepy than if it had been in color
they were plausible, warm, and witty
I got reintroduced to Betty Grable, Betty Hutton
Bob Hope, Bing Cosby, and Jimmie Stewart
They were intriguing shows, amusing
I was not bored, I was intrigued
Plots much more entertaining than today’s movies
We had Wonder Woman,
and The Rocky Horror
Picture Show.
We had MASH,
and Hawaii Five-O.
We had Bonanza,
And the Nanny and
The Professor.
We had the Jeffersons,
And Stevie Wonder.
We had The Odd Couple,
And Flip Wilson.
We had Welcome
Back Kotter,
And the Datsun.
We had Hogans Hero,
And Sonny and Cher.
We had Lucille Ball,
and a movie called Hair.
We had Fat Albert,
with the Cosby kids,
and The Exorcist.
We had the Land of
The Lost, And the
Midnight Express.
We had Josie
And the Pussycats,
And the Mississippi Queen.
We had the Flintstones,
and Americans living
the dream.
We had Planet
Of the Apes,
And the Brady Bunch.
We had room 222,
And Starsky & Hutch.
We had the
Midnight Special,
And The Partridge Family.
We had Mighty Mouse,
And Laverne & Shirley.
We had Star Trek,
And Dog Day Afternoon.
We had The Sting,
And National Lampoon.
We had I'm OK,
You're OK,
And Leif Garrett.
We had the Love Story,
and a horse named
Secretariat.
Turbo1904?
He was a one who liked the bums, who filled the blanks in
Others puns.' He took the literary litrally..And lauded all the
royals most librally' he was into his cottaging i beleive?
He kept some tricks, in his long old sleeves! He shook his
Spear at many a lad..And the upper crust he made real
Glad, he'd trowl on praise like no one else, leaving Anne truly
On the shelf.) A thespian he trod some boards' old willies
Wiles oft had them floored' an actor like so many others!
Lauded and praised he has yet; his lovers.' Theres a solid line
Of similar rakes wilfred bramble of the latter dates' bill
cosby, puff the daddy to' and then there was the wacko
Who sang of it blue (of men and mirrors) it gets me thinking?
Of richards and parnes and glitter and even sir saville stinking' of
liberace and even
da'vinchi.' With machinations contravening convention' opening this subject thats
My intention! (anthony kidman?) but not Jon Wedger..' Now
We have a man of a differentt feather.' Yet we never really hear
Of him!! Still alive but his profiles dimmed.? Mel Gibson
Also an honest agent' yet vilified in many pages, jim calviezel i rate him well 'and sound of freedom' what happened pray tell? Oh yes I remember!! An old plan-demic came, and couple of wars.)
And threats to life..Have we been there before? They let
The days accumulate; the decades form, to cover the cake
Maybe we'll sleep? ( yet not to dream?) While a nightmare
Continues along with humanitys muted screams!
