One truth that's really hard to face is that our world is in a very
dark place.
Most people know it, one doesn't need to be sensitive nor even a poet.
Unless we're living like a mole, external stressors take their toll.
Mental health conditions are on the rise, four Americans out of five..
All modern cultures across our globe suffer these same stressors I've been told.
The human brain needs a sense of control to keep external stressors from
taking their toll.
A constant release of cortisone will weaken these bodies that we own.
If our stress hormones are constantly released our minds and our bodies
become diseased.
When a body is battling constant pain in time it actually shrinks the brain.
It becomes the brain that never shuts up until the immune systems had enough.
If we meditate, eat right and exercise, our brains will help us live long and
healthy lives..

We did the right thing
Tried to stay well
We stayed at home
At times it felt like a cell
Then a vaccine appeared
We felt set free
The devil worked his magic
And he danced with glee
As he changed the virus
Into another killer
We had felt safe
Now our home has a visitor
COVID 19 Delta Strain
Has entered our home
Husband is sick
Now he won't roam
He sleeps the sleep of flu
Or a severe infection
The doctor loaded him down
With some protection
Cortisone, allergy pills
Cough syrup and more
Antiviral med given to animals
He bought out the store
I hope it is short lived
Because he doesn't do well
When he is quite ill
I might need another place to dwell
My husband was sick yesterday and went to the doctor this morning. He has the virus. Don't have any idea where he got it. I have to go this afternoon for a test but I don't think I have it but I could be harboring the virus which will strike later in a day or two. He has allergies so I thought it was the fact that ragweed has begun to bloom but so wrong a diagnosis. Sara

Butterflies flit to flowers
serenity in the shade
reclined adirondack chair
a buzzzz interrupts...
Ouch, bee sting "bites me", in pain,
I run for the cortisone.
Impossible! metered buzzzz
...off to find Cyndi!
