We did the right thing Tried to stay well We stayed at home At times it felt like a cell Then a vaccine appeared We felt set free The devil worked his magic And he danced with glee As he changed the virus Into another killer We had felt safe Now our home has a visitor COVID 19 Delta Strain Has entered our home Husband is sick Now he won't roam He sleeps the sleep of flu Or a severe infection The doctor loaded him down With some protection Cortisone, allergy pills Cough syrup and more Antiviral med given to animals He bought out the store I hope it is short lived Because he doesn't do well When he is quite ill I might need another place to dwell My husband was sick yesterday and went to the doctor this morning. He has the virus. Don't have any idea where he got it. I have to go this afternoon for a test but I don't think I have it but I could be harboring the virus which will strike later in a day or two. He has allergies so I thought it was the fact that ragweed has begun to bloom but so wrong a diagnosis. Sara

Anitha, It has been a hard nearly 3 weeks now. My husband developed pneumonia but is now on the mend. We are just weak, exhausted, fatigued, and longing for the day when we regain our old selves maybe improved in our attitudes toward everything life has to offer. Sara

So sorry about his illness; it's a scary thing. With allergies it's difficult to tell when you've got something. Many blessings to you and your husband. I hope it all works out well for him.

M.L., Yes, we all have allergies here and it is hard to tell until it hits really hard. The exhaustion is a give away plus some people run a fever and have aches and pains like the flu. It for me is worse than anything I have ever had including the flu that I have had about 3 times in my life. Mine was like the worse viral upset stomach, allergies, and the flu all combined in one big sickness. Thanks for your kindness. Sara

Heidi, He seems to be getting better from the pneumonia but we are both still very weak, exhausted, fatigued with just a little effort we are left needing to sit down or go to bed. Sara

Joseph, Tommy was diagnosed with pneumonia yesterday but he is home and seems to be recovering. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. Sara

Harry, Your presence at my page is uplifting. Tommy is still sick and I think the stomach upset part of the illness is starting to hit him. Anyway, maybe today will be the day he starts to get better. Sara

Joe, He is better but not well. I did not go to the doctor because I did not feel up to going. Our grandson who lives with us is sick also. I don't know what he has but it could be the stomach version of the virus. Thanks for dropping by and for the prayers. Sara

So sorry to hear this news. The delta variant has taken everyone by surprise at the speed it has spread. The feeling is the vaccination will ease Delta's symptoms. Delice, Yes, our state is a hot zone. My doctor said the other day when I went in for my three months check-up that our hospital is back in the red zone. The masks are here to stay for a longer period of time. I appreciate your prayers and thoughts. I am not feeling well but I don't know exactly what is wrong with me and if I am not better in the morning I will go to a clinic here that stays open 7 days a week but it isn't open at night. Thanks for the visit. Sara

Victor, We are in quarantine for 10 days. I hope that he gets well soon. I think he already feels better. I think when he takes the anti-virus drug for a couple of days it will wipe it out. Thank you for dropping by. Sara

Lasaad, I decided not to go get tested until I have some symptoms because there will be a chance or chances of me being exposed even more at the doctor's office. Yes, the last two years have not been easy ones for us and for so many Americans and I can't imagine how bad it has been for the medical people who have had to treat the worst of the illness. Milton, Your visit with understanding is so appreciated. I hope you gets well fast also. We both have had the vaccinations so it should be of short duration and the meds the doctor gave him should help to get rid of the virus. Sara
