Hard

No more conversation we said what we said
No need to continue something that’s dead
Drinking coronas smoking weed infused with diamonds
Moving on and moving up and the noose tightens
Didn’t matter the hand i was dealt I always held on to my card
Saw I was a wrong
Looked in the mirror and manned up took care of my kids
Look Back
They said the ****s hard

yellow sprinkles spring
 with daffodils and crocus ~
  sunbeams tickle boughs

  puddles of color

lavender shadows
splash in a lilac perfume ~
  purple eclipse glows ~

orange bathes in dawn
 painting the poppy meadows ~
  showtime for tulips

shooting star flowers
borrows blue from sapphire skies ~
  rainbow confetti

woodlands spawn teardrops

Shadows 9-22-23

Shadows

Living in ethereal shadows of compassion,
In profiles of grace,
Mercy overshadows stumbling stones
Revealed in a lens of benevolent focus
To eclipse blisters of ebony shades
With wispy balms of healing from raining penumbras,
No longer shadow boxing with bruising lacerations.

Shadows of grace pursue cutting eclipses
And wraps golden coronas of clarity
Around impenetrable guilt, treachery and betrayal,
Forgiveness foreshadowed in rising cumulous mists
Chasing cringing palls back into impotent hollows
Creating translucent patterns of favor
In delicate dews of lotus clour.

Ever present living pierced hands of agape,
In crimson shadow’s continual canticles,
Engulfs dark demon wraiths with pure mystery
And with silhouettes of the eternal Eden
Reveals perpetual truth –
No shadow can with withstand
The incense of everlasting grace.

Things To Love

Neatly lined crayons
Perfect, pointed tips
 Abercrombie jeans
Stretched across my hips

Victoria’s Secret
Whispered in my ear
Lyrics, I won’t forget
Truths I want to hear

Puppy breath and coffee
Two distinct aromas
  Sugar for my sweet tea
Lime for my coronas

Rays that fight the clouds
To fall upon a limb
Faith without a doubt
Book without an end

Clacking Away

When home computers made their way
Into our homes, things changed
And desks in dens or bedrooms
Were cleared off and rearranged.

The typewriter was certainly
The first thing taken out,
Tossed or shelved inside a closet
By all those but the devout.

Yet those true aficionados
Through these years have clacked away,
Knowing all those Smith-Coronas
Would be cool again some day.

A resurgence is occurring
With a slowly building hype
That it’s awesome, boss and groovy
On a typewriter to type.

There’s a reason we should cherish
Retro items from the past
For their coolness factor often has
Most modern things outclassed.

Money Note

The Money Note
Bad time for shipping and I had no work, slept on the sofa
in my mother’s small flat, she sat up late drinking coffee,
reading and smoking cigarettes.
I had a small unemployment benefit, mother took most of it
for lodging, I spent most days outside trying to find work and
sometimes I was lucky and got a temporary job as a washing
up at a cafe or cleaning the floors.

The old church in town was open to eight in the evening I often
went there to rest and sort of half sleep, one day in the front of
me I saw a big money note -500 coronas- picked it up, put it in
my pocket and debated whether to keep it or give it to the verger;
then organ music started can’t bear it and I left.
I thought of dinner and a nice bottle of wine, took a closer look at
the note, it was 500 coronas ok, only it was monopoly money and
quite useless, back in the church I put the note in the collection box.

Digits and Words

Digits and Words.
Manuscript page 100, a digit of colossal abstraction,
standing alone, inconsequential, just another zero.
When I was five I could count to hundred, stood by
the window counting people walking by.
It was a small street and not many walked there, so
I learned to cheat, counting people twice.
Sundays was especially difficult I had to count people
three time, when I first saw them, when they were by
the window and when they disappeared.
Then suddenly I was six and could read, and count to
thousand, but by then I lost interest in numbers and
fell in love with words that could create visible beauty.
But there is no getting away from numbers when my
first poem was published they paid me 5 coronas .

A Grown and Sexy Lullaby

I can sing you a lullaby that could comatose an insomniac
Like the landing of a butterfly a rose would welcome this contact
My voice sprinkles her with relaxation the sandman could'nt match
Her eyes twinkle with admiration like birds when their eggs hatch

The soft aroma of vanilla intertwined with jasmine fills the air
A few coronas as a summers night wind blows through her hair
Time seems to stop as if a deity entered the scenario
Those eyelids drop as a cello escapes the stereo

Her pillow overjoyed exhaled feathers that would shame a peacock
A sparrow was deployed from heaven with such a divine restock
A sleeping beauty in a trance only broken by pure intentions
A dream with visions of romance she'll probably never mention.

Narcissus Daffodils

Narcissus (Daffodils)

Narcissus has twelve different divisions
All as beautiful as one envisions

From trumpet small-cupped to Jonquilla
Split Corona and the fragrant many cupped Tazetta

With trumpets of yellow, coronas of pink and orange or red
Even the pretty Triandus with its nodding head

Some have fragrance some have none
All displaying beauty trying not to be out done

Narcissus the correct terminoligy for Daffodils

Six Coronas and the Truth

spent my whole life running
like we sometimes do
from what I left behind
never slowing down
tryin to forget you

told myself we weren't real
it was just a dream
my heart put you away
never to be felt again
but fate comes around and then

face to face with memories of you
one corona became two
6 corona's later
and I'm telling you the truth

I almost didn't say, I do
because of that letter from you
after all these years
i know it's the last thing
you care to ever hear

so please don’t say
we'll always be friend
some things can never be
that's to keep my sanity
so today i'm going to do what I can

face to face with memories of you
one corona will turn to two
6 corona's later and
I'll still be in love with you

it's crazy to think
I left you behind
when i'm the one
who never moved on
so, i'm taking control

drowing these memories of you
with one more corona then two
but 6 corona's later.....
you know what i'll do..............
I’LL TELL YOU THE TRUTH… I’M STILL IN LOVE WITH YOU

Black holes as ur hearts
Got the mind of evil

This pain is too hard
Night terrors in my head

How you goona treat me wrong girl
You was the best i ever had girl

Closer to my dreams
I no longer have the power to spread my wings
cuz U can thank me now or u can thank me later
But just to be classy it was better sooner than later
Dont worryy ima rage do what you do

Wind Mill

Wind Mill
Mind Will
How I can
I do
Think for myself…

Cinder block burns your heal
Calling out from my heart I steal
Mind of my own I do so will
Soul of my own I grow and build
Blowing in the wind, there is no end
Wild are the Ones Who live to befriend…

Never closed an unseeing eye
Sang Forever and the Sirens cried
Where is glory if your story dies…
Every book is better, with just a few lies.
:)
Said the wise…guys..
Three mice came along in a vest and bow ties
Fella in a suit with glowing eYes and a
Bella in a gown with a beating heart
said
“bella intelligenza”
“she’s pretty smart.”
Beautiful intelligence, is the funny part…

Babel on said the babel fish
Free your mind in the wind with a wish
Fire strikes in a distant land
Light from the sky in the form of a hand
Light flies by lighting peaks of sand
Flying night skies, and on deck we stand.

Did you slow down?... this love IS grand… ;p
“I’ve got your glass slipper,
and the Coronas for the band…”

Opheei! You see! It’s us…

“She makes know sense”
“But it’s One, you can trust” ;)~
