Showtime for Spring

yellow sprinkles spring
 with daffodils and crocus ~
  sunbeams tickle boughs

pink petal flurries
 spring breathes out apple blossoms ~
  puddles of color

lavender shadows
 splash in a lilac perfume ~
  purple eclipse glows ~

orange bathes in dawn
 painting the poppy meadows ~
  showtime for tulips

shooting star flowers
 borrows blue from sapphire skies ~
  rainbow confetti

woodlands spawn teardrops
 non-pariels of snowdrops ~
  moontime coronas

"yellow sprinkles spring" Ohhh, what a wonderful line and an introduction to your poem. "puddles of color" Gosh, how pretty. "splash in a lilac perfume". I can almost smell the scent. Your poem just gets lovelier and lovelier as I read.

Oh talented poet, I enjoyed the beauty and charm of spring flowers that have blossomed through your gifted pen. This poem suits so well to the spirit and mood of spring time. Dearest Valsa, thank you so much, sweet friend. Spring is such a contrast to the starkness, grey-white, world of winter. Spring seems to cuddle up to sleeping trees and flowers gently waking them into vibrant colors and textures with a soft breath. Suddenly, almost without noticing, we watch the world come alive! I do love to write haiku. It challenges me to look intently at nature's realm, to be aware like a little kid finding dandelions growing through sidewalk cracks. Thank you so much for sharing in this spring joy! Blessings to joy to you!

Dear samszy, beautiful use of colors to depict spring and flow in such seamless rhythm, in the form of haiku! Youv written a very artistic take and i love so many lines in this especially, “ lavender shadows splash in a lilac perfume ~ purple eclipse glows ~” so gorgeous! I always have a thing for lilac and lavender and also love how youv written “ eclipse glows” as well as the ending! Beautiful! Soul warming really and fitting for the mood right now for many!
