I was strolling aimlessly in a park,
where first month pearl leafs swirl,
in a thriving suburb of rapid transport,
transport by urgent deadline promise,
transport by magenta sky vision,
peach tint clouds whispered dream treasure,
watercolor mural boundary abstract or askance,
figment in a coalescent daylight amber moon,
and chalk mark street mosaic,
indigo flotilla of imagination starstruck,
belle chime peal hint from empyrean relish,
surreal slide show visuals stem from first light bustle,
gleaming eyes a match for epic goals,
existential thoughts turn neon color subtle hue,
saffron bloom enigma purple usher,
Einstein banks inside a morph-like brain,
tree of mint green homespun weaver,
I am now when rubicon eclectic might dawn,
secret flame bolster at the conurbation fringe,
sea wharf haze nonpareil emboldened

The Journey

     From petrol station, conurbation,
          Queuing traffic moving slowly,
               Taxi rank and railway station.
                    Glimpsing horses, grazing cows
                By winding rivers, straight canals.
          Open farmland, working ploughs.
     Motorways; long distance coaches,
Post card village, pond and green,
                Packs and snacks, hurried lunches.
By scenic route and shady lane,
               Thru’ darkening forest; silent trees,
          Ancient site and sunny plain.
     Over bridges, under bridges,
          Hidden valley, windy moor.
               By the oceans, passing hamlets,
                     From door to distant door.

Few Days More

Few days more my dreams need to come true,
In that heart me to kindle a candle
The conurbation of lovers’ to locate
And to renovate the ruins of past
And to patch up with a friend much annoy’d
Few days I need, few days more I need.

To heal the wound of love deep and down
To raise the pennon of pain so high
To make the wind pleasant and saccharine
To glide the kite of hope up in Blue
To make every troubl’d eye to gaze at it
Few days I need, few days more I need.

To cut a gate through that steel of hatr’d
Negligence, ignorance and the race
To let the air overtake the barb’d line
To make the earth a place universal
With no country, coinage and congress
Few days I need, few days more I need.

To make my beloved to touch the peaks
Of my platonic love so untaint’d
To make her heart soft, tranquil and calm
To discover listening the grief on beats
Battered down by nay but native sob
Few days I need, few days more I need.

To make a Brooke to sing not from book
But from the half dead voice of the poets
The verses they compose from broken beats
Nay with steel Nibs, but by the rib’s edge
To make the mass to pick up the ache
Few days I need, few days more I need.

A Reference For Every Thought

A reference for every thought

Deconstruct all you think and find the link
To the last time you felt that way
Heard the words
Learned that fact
Disassemble the pieces of the things and
Actions you hold to be true
Find the place in the litany of your life
And note down the author, the theorist
The lover and map the route to the
Conurbation of storehouses and pyramids
Of belief and time
Track each thought, each breath, each moment
That constructed these towns of ideas
And live the informed like evaluating each
Placement
Fortify only the foundations of these that
Hold under such intense surveillance

Twin Buildings

Cock-crow precipitation -dripping
from the eaves stores cry, “no, no they weep.”
Ciao to the sun-god and the dryness coming
the conurbation awakes from sleep.

Crows roost on high-wires caws calling
begging their searching for initial treat.
Five wire, barbwire, steel-post line falling
in a fissure many feet deep.

Placid the zephyr over edifice telling
depressing the stones before the heat.
Echo of first footsteps selling
clamors and calmer of shod feet.

Poltergeist reflects in structure reaping
apparitions where once stood the heap
of trice crumpled twin buildings
a hole were prior the blameless sleep.
