Doves Do Things That Seem So Strange

Doves do things surely seeming so strange;
Can hear them cooing at their convenience;
Will see them waddle while seeking food;
When doing this they may be there in pairs.

Have to go to
compline service at 8 PM EST or slightly after
Is on Facebook at St Matthews Episcopal Church.

Not Feel Well In Holy Hell

My Latest Horn Rhyming Haiku

COVID in Boston
so left and went to Austin
gas much was costing

COVID has been why
emotions at all time high
patience short supply

seems like when they force
All of our work to outsource
did bring on remorse

That was what is had heard in MSNBC

longer we will dwell
in what has been Holy hell
never did feel well

have to let things go
fully release all of them
be ourselves again

From Compline we had by
Kevin last night.

He can forward this to all FaceBook
friends on compline.

Poke Than Provoke and Broke

Would Poke Than Provoke Until Broke

had heard when they poke
potential was to provoke
would do until broke

we read about Jobe
was wild when he wore a robe
earing in each lobe
(in room had a globe)

had been cynical
when war was political
am hysterical

often obsequious
he had been called hibiscus
presumed promiscuous

would wear uniform
which always did keep him warm
protect in a storm

found dog in his lap
around would slap and slap
in brain was a gap

he had an instinct
when it did become distinct
in certain precinct

when we heard compline
knew Jesus was always fine
glad that He is mine

we were paddling
when we first met Madeleine
her horse saddling

was a perfect host
paperback did cost the most
he would brag and boast
(Admiral Stavrides)

over eggs would flip
had looked like a sinking ship
when we got a grip

spring is in the air
at singing birds sit and stare
scared away by big bear

This is my Horn Haiku
which has five beats
followed by seven beats
then five beats. Hiaku
does not have any
capital letters or any
punctuation.
They normally do not
rhyme though. Mine
do. Here are some
more Horn Haiku.

we must chuck and jive
when we should want to survive
will remain alive

what we should surmise
is best if we improvise
needing alibis

got up his dander
having some sort of slander
also will pander

was truly tender
that always had much splendor
being big spender

with each occasion
there had been an invasion
needed translation

had been imminent
invigorate sentiment
that they will foment

Super Haiku By Horn

might be meticulous
trump tried (Never true) and ridiculous
and conspicuous

can hear my compline
which I know will be so fine
God let it by mine

a traumatic match
corona virus big batch
sickness us will catch

pandemic surge
due to society urge
now playing a dirge

words do want to mince
trauma is full of suspense
while being intense

trump sure big surprise
he has been full of lies
many alibis

gallop and gallop
trump truly is a Trollope
what a big wallop

have nothing to hide
to vote God has been my guide
party did divide

they had selected
a weirdo trump elected
idiot detected

Bird chatter echoes mutual greetings
psalms praising morning light
promising enrapturing return
before light fades to dusk this night.

Birds echo wild canopy cathedrals
in trees of life majestic chatter,
underflight of bees and insect buzz
growing conjoined climax
before evening’s quiet sung massive eulogy
consecrates this flying day’s compline,
graceful deep dark dream delight.

Liturgy of Earth flight song
echoes shattering sanctifying light,
entering as exiting each shared dark
mythic mourning park
deep listening embark
into right rest
free flight sanctuary night.

Orpus Dei

ORPUS DEI
It is the hand in action of dei
Via et epiclesis unus mysterium fidei
The hand that makes all feels great
He is God and ever is he brave

He is ever seen but not familiar
We all see it verba visibilia
It is him who owns what we see
Let’s all move in canon actionalis

I am audemus dicere I dare to say
Hesterni sumus et vestra omnia implevimus
That’s what I say because he makes me primus
I sleep and I always wait for the break of day

I don’t have to be pontifex maximus
Or be in sacerdotum to earn your trust
All I know is that all you see and know
Is orpus dei et compline complitorum
