Poetry II

If poetry channels our anger and sorrow
Who then will want to write it tomorrow
And will joy and contentment stifle its future?
And what will become of our stays and culture?

I say poetry has been victimized
Vilified, chastised, castigated and ostracized
Only perceived as a tool for struggle
Truths coded for smuggle

Yet poetry is just song void of tune
From the same rock hewn
For the lyrics that ride on the harmonies
Are sponsored by poetic abilities

Only poetry captures life’s odysseys
In whose form is crafted psalms and prophecies
If you want to know an expanse exceeding now
Poetry is the where and the how

Poetry in its recitation
May not cause rhythm and gyration
Care free melodies and chimes
That people seek in easy times

Until hard times force the weaning
Where people gain taste for meaning
A complementary aid for soul searching
To set the conscience forwardly marching

If poetry must fail in the market
Then it proves not to aim for your pocket
But a stinging dart to awaken your souls
When woes and lows purge all else from their roles

Awaken to citrine sky as
Birds are heaven bound
Canvas rich true complementary colors spun.
Delight sensation of sweet scent does tease,
Enchanting pink sunshade trees intertwine
Fervor poetic strokes in cherry blossoms.
Glide through, as time sweeps away a
Humble early morning light.
Impressionistic intrinsic appearance,
Jitter to tomorrow’s mystic splendor.

Premium Member Song of The Pangolin No 7: AABB

Famine ... charities ... complementary.
Killers; Lions, Hyenas, Snakes, the very
highest on the list, Human traffickers,
with their ad lib, and full-on characters.
Pangolin's are anteaters resembling
armadillos but different. Trembling
leads to curling up into a ball when
they sense danger. They burrow in a den
like hole as a prelude to finding food.
Poor eye sight, lest prey's washes up mood,
Pangolins are keenly scented hunters.
Endangered according to their numbers,
for their scales are coveted, as produced
Chinese medicine, thus hope is reduced.

Premium Member Song of The Saola Asian Unicorn No 6: ABAB

Paints and films of death grow; signs of our times,
crowning rundown; the Asian Unicorns.
Rare large mammals, forest-dwelling bovines,
with nearly two feet long parallel horns.
They're found in central Vietnam and Laos,
adults reach up to thirty-three inches
up to shoulder height. Captive breeds rehouse
like schemes, lacks hope as they're on the fringes
of extinction. The poverty levels
are high in the region, local support
are tough. Technical and medical specials
aid base programs and worldwide food import.
The two hundred-twenty pound primary,
famine ... charities ... complementary.

Yin and Yang Poetry

beauty and ugliness are complementary,
for good and evil
complete us...
Anxiety and calm are important
we depend on each other,
mistake promotes success,
failure, invents glory...
From pain, joy is born...!
We are dually incomplete,
We seek unattainable perfection
We are a combination of concrete and abstract
Humans yes, divine particles yes,...!

Premium Member Fashionable Fall

Fashionable Fall flaunts her lustrous leaves,
catwalks flowing flora with earnest ease.
Haunting lullabies from the quaking trees
cast chilling currents from mountain to keys.

Dancing diamonds of glistening glow
show skies with promise of soon-to-be snow.
Sunrises and sunsets are a fireworks show
scattering the stars like dice in a throw.

Gowns of complementary colors trace
ribboned harvest fields at riotous pace.
Swirling with natural, elegant grace,
her glamor failing and fast losing face.

Tattered trees largely stripped bare of their clothes
leave a psychedelic pathway that flows.
With each rowdy breeze, it gustily blows,
and turns pale snozzle to a reddened nose.

With stinging, shallow breath and crimson cheeks
embrace lacy lakes and mountains’ paling peaks
till Winter steals through Fall and solemnly seeks
favor for upcoming ice-hearted weeks.

Thank You To the Darkness

My poem that inspired my painting.

Thank you to the darkness
By Michelle Morris
25/09/2021

Thank you to the darkness,
For it reveals the brightest lights;
It is the backdrop for the universe,
Our inspiration to our highest flights.

It helps heal us as we sleep,
It helps us dream our bestest dreams;
It helps us to see the magic of the stars above,
And all the beauty of meteors streaming.

It is the duality of the blessings,
That we receive from the yin and the yang;
Interconnected and complementary,
It fuels our lives and balance.

And in ourselves we have to find,
The light to shine forth and free;
For unless you can face your darkness,
You'll never truly know your being.

Thank you to the darkness,
For the knowledge and the tests;
For we are all our greatest teachers,
And raise each other's souls with quests.
