The nest

It was a month long summer vacation, I had returned my home unwillingly,
And I was shocked to see my bedroom too, Twigs and bird's drops were scattered everywhere, I did not know how they come exactly, Finally I had found a small bird's nest , . Oh ,it was inside an exhaust fan's frame, The little chicks were peeped out of the nest, They expected their mother's arrival, There was no sign of their mother's chirping, I waited for an hour in the same room, At last their mother came with a calling, It had a tiny crumb in its compact beak, . And it fed it a chick and flew away.

Premium MemberWomen's World Cup 2023 - Comp

It's a ball and you kick it
Seems simple enough
But it's more than a game
'cos you have to be tough

I'm not talking a buzz-cut
Or some scars from a fight
For this resolve is internal
Overlook it, you might

You may cuss, scowl or spit
That doesn't impress
Now this game's claimed by women
Swapping shorts from a dress

And the girls that will follow
In their thousands for sure
In competitive joy
This old game has it's cure:

It is teamwork and faith
It is laughter and tears
It is training like crazy
It is banishing fears

There's never been greater
A reason or rhyme
To describe this potential..
Ladies - this is your time

For the men have inspired us
Reaching dizzying heights
But the women converting
So many wrongs into rights

Take tenacity, love
Add a wholesome respect
Work ethic unriveled
With the fans they connect

Crossing boundaries, restoring
All that seemed far apart
The game has been longing for
This feminine heart

Premium MemberNo Anchor For Rancour - Comp

The rocks on the sea bed
Can be friendly in storms
When our sails are bedraggled
Or all tattered and torn

From our voyage on seas
Often left unexplored
But there's truth in the water
That cannot be ignored

In the wind is the Spirit
An adventurer's friend
So we move in directions
To where searching may end

There are hazards aplenty
As the salty air calls
There's that taste for adventure
But another taste galls..

We'd fare well to remember
Not all rocks help to save us
When we cast out our anchor
Catching bitterness flavours

Where the water is stagnant
And the wind but a tease
Hopeful canvas restored
Needing more than a breeze

Then it's time to resolve
Pull umbilical chain
Begin a fresh outlook
Let the rancour remain

Premium MemberA Friend Like You - Comp

I've travelled a bit
Been to places, seen stuff
Met amazing folks
'til it seemed like enough

On my doorstep I found
Something far in excess
Of my wishes for friendship
If I truly confess

We can talk about love
Or the fanning of flame
But I'm peering much deeper
Again and again

There is something much clearer
If some time you can spare me
It is love but it's not and
I know that's contrary

It's a frequency vibe
It's the bell we can toll
With a resonance heard
By a familiar soul

I won't talk about home
For this is not a place.
Not a season or time
Or a prettier face

Like a journey within
A soul sister or brother
A connection profound;
Being lost with another

Suffice is to say
Come hail, snow or rain
Now I've found you, my friend
Lost with you I'll remain

Premium MemberBus Safety - Comp

You're on this bus and safe inside
But please consider those who ride
Or walk or cycle, those on horse back
(Before you eat your lunchtime snack)
And wave and cheer and smile, don't stare..
It's nice for them to know we care x

Premium MemberFunny Bone - Comp

I tickle inadvertently
This funky little bone
He hides amongst the others
With nowhere to call home

He could have been a rib
A cheek, a thumb, a scapula or more
But no, this little fella
Was just left behind the door

When bones were being issued
With nowhere good to go
No fancy latin title
He was given the elbow

I wouldn't be without him
Although he hides away
The best friend I could want for
As he brightens every day

Now Is the Winner of Our Disco Tent Comp

Now is the winner of our disco tent comp
Maids glorious shimmer by
This sun on my Yorkie
Puffing clouds as Lorde plays in our house
In the deep base of the ocean eyes buried
Our brows found with sweated wreaths;
Our boozed arms
hands up for chocolate moments
Ring the alarms whoop whoop its the sound of the police
Our wayward marches due to delightful measures.
Grim has got his visa
The aged war has smoothed
And how, instead of mourning barbered heeds
Too light the soles of playful sand shoes
He rolls papers nimbly in a unisex chamber
To the languished pleasing of a Dr Dre loop
Have no shape for sport or tricks
Norwegian made dubious furniture not to last
I am that rude
Stamping on your majestic Magnum
To strut before
What you wan't man
I will cut that tail
Fair is my complexion
Cheated by the creature
Breaking is my nature
Deranged, not ends, start and not to stop
Breathing on this world, scared
your mind made up,
So tamely and in fashionably time
Take a step past my dogs that bark
It may be your last

Silent One Comp

Silent one a great example of Humanity.
And so rarely uses profanity.
His competitions cause Insanity.
His judging never shows Brutality.
His challenges are never boring or show Mundanity.
His poetry comments never show Inanity.
His comments are measured and delivered without Volcanity.
His poetry has a real grasp on Reality.
With challenges that are always new and show Vitality.
He expresses a really open Mentality.
And even when you fail is comments show Urbanity.
He is not tied to the rules and Formality.
Always fair in judging with real Morality.
and if this effort gets an na it could cause a Fatality.

Flirt Comp

The poetry soup ladies this is just for you.
Roses are red, violets are blue, lava is hot and so are you.
No !, well this next line from me to you.
If I was an octopus, all my 3 hearts would beat for you.

You lady's are hard work, yes you !
Your eyes are as blue as the sea I dumped my ex’s body in.
Don't worry, It was none of you.
I should call you Google, because you have everything I’m looking for.

I'm still searching for the best line for you.
Can you touch me? I want to tell my friends I was touched by an Angel.
Right last go, and this ones from me to all of you
I want to be your tear drop, so I could be born in your eyes, live on your cheeks, and die on your lips.

Nicked the lines off Google forgive me lol

Milk and Honey Comp

My lips may move and the words I speak .
Are just reflections of the people I meet.
Some times I'm strong, some times I'm meek.
But I advise you listen,I don't use double speak
My inner voice cry's out ,never trust a sneak
