Saturation by
commercial enterprise
the bright illuminations
of Christmas dazzle
sincerity and simplicity,
alas if only i could see
through the eyes of a
bygone childhood
the flame
the peace
the spirit of the eve,
the truth
the reason
naive
believe.
If only i could see
through one’s eyes.
The way it use to be!
