Starving Eyes

As I scream out your name I fall
In darkness I have labored scantly clad in sack cloth and ashes
Wait for me I won't be long
My time is nearly up
Crimson moons in rivers by the shore break my silence
I scream out your name alone in empty rooms
Hold me in my dreams
Arenas of wild killers all fell before my might
In your name I breathe
Juniper with my tea
Mint cookies delight me much
Her name is forgotten all this time lost chasing shadows in the dark
Chained to the whispers of the lost skulls now long since dust
Do their whispers still sing out to you?
Wake me when the king has arrived is he nearly here now?
I am sworn to listen for the Lambs horn calling us up
Quake with fear when the trump sounds the end has arrived
Autumn and my Buddy will they meet me there on The Mount Of Olives by the Masters side? Questioning the reason to wait 2,000 years for a wedding feast.
Almost time for the third day to begin and the rising of The Son of Man. Lamb gets ready to break that seal and let our kingdom be revealed.

While my heart breaks,
here in this unsteady silence,
before the first snowflakes
the gentle autumn light fades…

while my spirit abides,
here in the turbulent stories,
before the darkness divides
where hope meets faith…

while my heart hesitates,
here in the weakness of a tear,
God’s love gently translates
so I know the love who is real…

while my spirit sings praises,
here where there was once fear,
I remember how much He amazes
those who believe He surely saves…

while my heart trembles,
here where the light stands still,
there is the courage that resembles
the sweetness of God’s perfect will.

Premium MemberStardust on Autumn Leaves

I love this time of the year,
when days get much cooler.
Autumn leaves put on pretty coats,
coats of red, orange and gold.
At night stardust sprinkles down,
making the autumn leaves glisten.
Autumn is a magical time,
but it will not last very long.

Premium MemberJolted by Twilight

The autumn night started out very peaceful as I fell into a deep sleep. Then the thunder ripped open the early morning as the rain poured down. I was Jolted by Twilight and the loud lightning out of bed.

the start to a new evening-
twilight from lightning
then the moon shines brightly

Premium MemberLife's Calling

sipping cider, and pumpkin spice
nurturing joy, autumn’s sweet price
blessing my heart, leaves keep falling
raining grace on my life’s calling

warm thoughts caress my soul’s intent
these blessings are why I was sent
autumn’s rhythms are gently stalling
raining grace on my life’s calling

jumping in the leaves, such wonder
my heart is beating like thunder
autumn’s gasping winds keep squalling
raining grace on my life’s calling

roaring fires and the crunch of leaves
reminds me that my heart believes
autumn’s ink, soundlessly scrawling
raining grace on my life’s calling

aching verses shed silent fears
singing God’s peace through gentling tears
merry skies steal hearts, recalling
raining grace on my life’s calling

Premium MemberIn Marked Territory

The very hot summer is coming to a close,
fresh cool weather is in the air.
I love my walks on autumn days,
it puts a giddy up in my steps.
Off to the pretty park we will go,
looking for the In Marked Territory area.
The grass seems much greener,
with a very deep rich smell.
Open the gate quickly before I let loose,
a fun doggie park is the way to go.

Premium MemberAutumn Leaves

Autumn fills the air,
with pretty leaves raining down.
The trees are getting bare,
as a carpet of leaves cover the ground.
I love seeing yellow, orange and red everywhere,
the falling leaves have a real flair.
In Autumn we find cooler days and nights,
along with many leaves for the raking.
Oh autumn leaves your beauty will not stay,
for now they need to be cleaned up.
Do not be sad you will return next year,
next year for us to once again enjoy.

Premium MemberThe Setting Sun

The setting sun
Can eastward turn no more
Nor recent path retrace
To blaze again
Throughout some re-run day
Nor spring-fresh leaf
Relive its glory
In autumn frost
Nor waning flower
Remake its beauty pure
To live again
The splendour of its perfect hour.

And who of man
Can turn the clock of time
To tread once more
The ways of years gone by
To live again a moment gone
An hour
A day
A lifetime fixed beyond control.

So help me, Lord
To live this moment
Just for you
For all I have is now.

autumn fills the air
pretty trees are getting bare
here is the last pear

love warm apple pie
add ice cream before I cry
it is a mile high

flowers are all dead
garden needs to go to bed
spring is now ahead

It was long over due,
cleaning out the garage made me blue.
A job we like to put off,
because the dust makes us cough.
Old boxes on every shelf,
top shelf I can't reach by my self.
I remember that faded flower box,
filled with love and a toy fox.
As I opened the top not knowing what I would see,
I found a card with a big yellow bee.
A thinking of you card I should have sent,
every word I had meant.
I read and read,
until I had pain in my head.
Then on the very bottom,
I found a painful time called autumn.
It was when we said good-bye,
you felt you needed your wings to fly.
As the pretty leaves came down,
so did my many tears like a sad clown.
All these unsent letters and cards have sat,
knowing he was such a dirty rat.

By Grace I'm Saved

In shadows deep where doubts conspire,
I stumbled through the night’s cold mire,
Yet whispered hope, a gentle spark,
Awoke my heart within the dark.

With weary hands and fragile dreams,
I wandered lost in silent screams,
But grace descended like the dawn,
A tender light on paths I’d drawn.

Through storms of life that tossed my soul,
Where every step took its toll,
Your mercy found me in despair—
A soothing balm upon my care.

When guilt would wrap its heavy chain,
And sorrow draped like autumn rain,
You lifted me from depths so grave;
In love’s embrace, by grace I’m saved.

Each scar a story softly told,
Of battles fought and truths behold;
Yet through it all your voice remained—
A melody of peace unchained.

So here I stand with open heart,
With gratitude that won't depart;
For every trial led me to see—
The boundless grace that sets us free.

In every breath I feel the sway,
Of heaven's gift in soft array;
By grace alone I rise anew—
A testament to love so true.

Line of inquiry:
blessings from above
transformed lust to love
delusion to illumination
earth-heaven bilocation

It wasn’t spring, with all its flowery shadows
Who taught me wonders too startling to explain
More stirring than any rhyme I could compose

It wasn’t summer, with its smiles and dancing rain
Who taught me beauty far gentler than a tear
More light than my soul could possibly contain

It wasn’t autumn with her navy skies so clear
Who taught me melodies, songs of joy and grace
More startling than the wind who hears our prayer

It wasn’t winter with snow my heart would embrace
Who taught me of a love that would never end
More sure that I’d shortly meet Him face to face

Seasons passed and my broken heart He would mend
He soon changed me and came to be my best friend

Premium MemberI Love You First

Of humanity's many members,
of smoky mountains standing in the clouds,
of the heavens You sprinkled with an infinity
of stars,
and valleys of the goodness of crops and
the moonlit magnolia trees,
oceans, lakes, rivers, and streams came to
life from You.
Of the joy of birds at the feeder,
I love You first.

My Jesus, my Christ,
the bats whoosh out of their caves
at twilight in their hunting of insects,
my grandchildren play on summer's lawns
with buttercups dotting the expanse,
whilst autumn stirs in his slumber,
as the days age more for me,
I love You first.

You're my morning star,
my evening comfort,
I adore You most sweetly,
You came for me when others didn't,
to rescue me from the hurt and the
mourning for the earth and her people,
her animals,
as hatred, as wars, as pollution
mars her glorious face,
I love You first.

You, Dearest Redeemer, Deliverer,
sent some of Your angels to watch
over us-
in frosted nights,
and in spring's awaited rebirth.
Truest One,
my heart in reverence to You,
I love You, always first. ~

Premium MemberGRANDEUR OF FALL I VICARIOUSLY SEE

Radiating nature’s colorful glow
designed well by divine artistic might
showing blessings of God midst harvest* flow
Oh, grandeur of Fall brings sublime delight.

Presenting varied hues of lovely blends
red, orange, yellow, auburn, maroon, gold
overshadow green that beauty transcends
Yes, grandeur of Fall … a sight to behold.

Inspiring painters for picturesque scene
to highlight amber shades with crimson rays
against rusty foliage so serene
that’s grandeur of Fall marked by awesome praise.

Enthralled vicariously, my heart can shout
Wow, I fall for grandeur of Fall … no doubt.

*Matthew 9:38 38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
