Please wake up and open your eyes.
To a man my age abortion doesn't apply.
Confederates outlawed it because they lost the war.
The sons they lost somehow had to be restored.
Young People, are you listening? It's directed at you.
You're right back in it, so it ain't nothing new.
They will chomp at the bit until nothing is left.
Through the "YouTube" phase the whole lot of you slept.
You won't know it until you have lost your vote.
Which is on the agenda of the Supreme Court.
Young People, pay attention, it is in the mix.
Get out and handle your business on November 5th.
Stick With It
The going can get tough
And life itself is rough

The world can be mean
A lot of changes in the scene

Prayers are never heard
People are absurd

There's a story from Dixon
About some ole drunk
Who came in the courtroom
Drunk as a skunk
When asked by the judge
Sir how do you plea
He pulled out a 5th
And said this ones on me
Unsure what he meant
The judge threw him in jail
Without that ole bottle
Without chance of bail
When his attorney asked him
Why cause such a rift
He simply stated
I pleaded the fifth
When word of the meaning
Got back to the judge
He released him the same day
It caused such a buzz
All the people in town
Still chomp at the bit
To tell the story of Barney
And how he pleaded the fifth
Unsure what he meant
The judge threw him in jail
Without that ole bottle
Without chance of bail
When his attorney asked him
Why cause such a rift
He simply stated
I pleaded the fifth
The day Barney died
The judge came to grieve
Said here you go Barney
This ones on me
So if you pass through Dixon
Or just stop for a bit
You'll hear the story of Barney
And how he pleaded the fifth
When the judge found it funny
He chose to acquit
And old Barney won
When he pleaded the fifth
when you’re thirsty or hungry for a meal
when a table for one scares you
or one menu has no allure
i'll be your ‘soup de jour’
when you have worries
and life stresses you out
when friends don’t understand
and you chomp at the bit
i’m your ear ‘no bout adout it’
if you've lost a memento
or for a pause your self-worth
if your mirrors lie
points out an unlike
i'll fix your psyche
if ever you're lonely
desire a man
if you need arms that hold
and lips to lock on too
tune me
i'll be there for you!
