Uma Carta de Amour
A letter of love I never wrote
“But I remember it well.”
as Maurice Chevalier sang
Once, I loved a dolphin
A swam along the ship
We sang a duet
People said the cook is mad again
The man is crazy again
As the dwellers on iron ship
Who had a pedestrian love affair
With **** magazines
This unequal affair of true love lost
As the sea got colder
She returned to the tropics
Fell in love with a harbour master
He was always there
At there at the end of the molo
Singing words of love.
Those in charge said he was mad
Yes, he was madly in love
He was sent to an asylum, were
Psychiatrists convinced him
His love of the dolphin was wrong
He disappeared when swimming to Martinique
But a love story never ends.

“fantôme du noir chevalier”
whither doth thee cometh from?
Strange voice that I see
Coldness of ire burns
the skin beneath sheets
paper white guise
black ink heart bleeding within -
stranger the walls do speak here
in the mirror swimming See
the lost reflections of souls
the misguided forlorn
disenchanted do scry
their petulant perplexity
ghosts for the haunting
picked like ripe plumbs
legions illuminating dead dreams
the devil beating his drums
in her spectral bed
the incubus arrives
the succubus hums
once were bold quills tracing
curves cursive passionately clear
near human once attempting sincere
to unlock love with blind faith ne’er fear
I hear your tome calling
fantôme du noir chevalier
erudite Faust waives
ignores lore written before him
I hear your tome calling
fantôme du noir chevalier
Salome is her name
a new dance appears
She will take you
before morning
a promise forewarning
I give this to thee
fantôme du noir chevalier

Goals Are The Legs Of Dreams
Written: by Miracle Man
January 30, 2021
For years I subsisted on transparent dreams,
then God enlightened me with this fact.
Ambitions without goals would remain futile wishes,
and wishing would get me nowhere, I had to act.
Then I posted my goals on a bathroom mirror,
where each day I was prompted to read.
I visited these goals daily measuring my success,
God has blessed my life since choosing to accede.
“A man must have his dreams-
memory dreams of the past, and eager dreams of the future.
I never want to stop reaching for new goals.”

Belle E. Danser tried some ballet
But Double D's got in the way
No one could forget
How her pirouette
Simply floored Maurice Chevalier!

“Mon Dieu, mon Dieu,”
he screamed to the crowd
“On stage as a vagabond
my home you enshroud
“My makeup—my armor,
my performance—my cause
“Reborn with each act,
as I hear your applause
“You take me each matinee,
you take me each night
“To the depths of your hearts
where my darkness alights
“Mon Dieu, mon Dieu,”
he shouted again
“Forever my audience
—forever my friends”

Mon chevalier galant
who uses music for shield
pen for glaive
Who writes warmth
through cold white days
and sometimes silence
He'll walk out of his books
mon d'Artagnan
to conquer me...
... he thinks. But has forgotten
que je me suis rendu
il y a longtemps

(Baldassare Galuppi was a music composer
in 18th century Venice. Johann Pachelbel
came a little earlier. Maurice Chevalier and
Mistinguette were vaudeville artists and
on-off lovers in Paris in the 1920s.)
Your filigree correctly fret,
those perforations, so correct!
And how I love that dying strain,
suggesting sadness, feigning pain!
A twisted, coloured paper chain,
a love both sacred and profane,
your melody's a silhouette:
imperfect pleasure, sweet regret.
Your sharp and sugared vinaigrette
is like a Pachelbel duet,
a sorbet made with fine champagne,
or raindrops on a window pane,
the fragrant soil of southern Spain,
a grief I still can't ascertain -
Chevalier and Mistinguette?
That wistful chime! I hear it yet!

.He walked in silence
to the corner of my heart
He lit a candle~ fire
in a room once damp and dark
His words were gently spoken
His love was loud and clear
His arms were unexpected
A fearless Chevalier
My strength was getting weaker
My pulse~rate running low
He sheltered my emotions
and fortified his soul
He helped me win the battle
against solitude's blade
His kiss bestowed upon me
His palm upon my faith
A faith of a new promise
on paths of pastel hues
Of jasmine scents and marigolds
Of Sunsets in the blues.

had a quick look over your work my dear
your acting the jerk is now crystal clear
even though you are in your 78th year
away from rhyming you could not steer
pull that stick from out of your rear
rhyming's not law, we don't have to adhere
change gear, cheer, down a root beer
place a finger in your cauliflower ear
and stop deluding yourself, you are no pioneer
throwing your intellectual spear so chevalier
quit thinking in rhyme you domineer
step out of your dusty cerebellum sphere
give the kids back their style, don't smear
folks like you make it suck around here

When a plump woman is here, why do you walk away?
They will supply you with your love needs in every way.
They provide their husbands and boyfriends with happiness.
They’re keeping Catherines and Lane Bryant in business.
No matter what most men say, I’ve found there’s a beauty
in all of these fine females that other guys don’t see!
Throughout the world, these nice women are easily found.
They’re some of the sweetest gals that are always around.
Despite all of the dieting, their numbers abound.
They come in many colors and nationalities.
I’ve been with so many of them; they’ve all aimed to please.
Nothing’s wrong there, they consume too many calories.
They feel so wonderful when they hold me in their arms.
In extra-large size are their enticing charms!
Those “little” girls can be left for Maurice Chevalier.
Where I’m concerned, I’ll take those “bigger” girls any day!
