The children are grown and gone
I'm four grand in the hole
from pet cremations and such.
Just two of us are left to the will of the dust
With less distractions and hodge podge plans
life has taken on a hue of fledgling madness.
Alone is our mutual garment.
So, tell me dear what have we... left
a single dull bulb-or crackling chandelier.

Hear our voice
From the east, west, south, and north
Hear our independence
This July Fourth
Like flowers in bloom
In the night
See the chandeliers
Hang in the sky
With crescendos and
Reds, blues and whites
Explosions and commotion
In the battle lights
In the bomb blasts and bombast
Crimsons, umbers and beige
Like the dawn’s breaking light
Mauves, cobalts and jades
All the high-lights and sky-lights
Caught by the American’s eye
It's In the fodder of the diviner’s rod
In the wizardry of July

The ‘Jerk,’ the ‘Frug, the ‘Freddie’
The ‘Pony,’ the ‘Chicken’ the ‘Limbo’
all gone the way of my old stereo…
Yet ballroom dancing keeps coming back
and square dancing is on the attack
Soon ‘The Monster Mash’ will be
~ THE LEADER OF THE PACK! ~

She is outstanding
She is my mind's understanding
Blinded by her smiles, I need remanding
For her my heart, is so demanding
I feel like an aircraft, who's never landing
I think I loved her before I knew her
Grasses grew on the heart that was bare
She brightens up my day, she's such a flair
So I am devoted, I mean I belong to her
Her eyes sparkles like chandeliers
Face twinkles, like diamond jewels
Heart's so pure like sterilized bangles
If beauty was a crime, she would be the most wanted criminal
And if my love for her was to be measured, I swear it wouldn't be minimal
I love her with my all, wholly and there isn't no decimal
My heart is full and she is my heart's terminal
Thank God for her
I am blessed with her
And I will fight for her
For that reason I call her....

winters fallen chandeliers
lying on the ground as diamonds
deadly serious on the freeway
crystalized, icy and dangerous
delivered by Jack Frost
cold smooth glass

The blur serenades a concoction from source
Imaginary candles, stand appropriately spread
Cherubs highlighting my life time of course,
In case here before you, my carcass is dead.
I breath the lament in the wisp of a moment
Pretending to die where the chandelier shines
I sit up in comfort, and here with the content
Of speaking with angels, I'm seeing the signs.
Unless you can hear me, I'm saying, "Good-Bye",
While cherubs like you who appear like a ghost
Are family and friends, and the ceiling, the sky
As the chandelier whirls in a spin upper most.
The centrifuge teases the soul with temptation
An angel releases the last breath I cease;
Expecting to die, with symphonic elation
The fanfare parades me a voice for release.
The chandelier hold is a bracket containing
Electrical spheres with a blur for a child;
Candles are stars and the restful remaining
Are highlights of history my story has told.
