the next president

The next president of the USA

Here we are on another Sunday; we have survived
the debacle, two old men arguing, none of them
wore reading glasses
Two things stood out, both are adept at lying with
open eyes, not looking a bit embarrassed despite
we know, except perhaps their wives
The one, more senile than the other's wife, said
she was proud of him, able to remember all
the questions without hesitating too much
so much so that when they walked out of the speaker hall
, she bought him an ice cream
One of the elderly gentlemen will be the next press
I must say, I have a sneaking admiration for him
with his bottle-tanned face. I once saw him at Chester Zoo
not unlike him beating his chest
in a bullying  manner
in the background, Kamila Harris spoke about
the community and cackling excitedly
after all, she might become the first female president of America
Alas, it doesn't matter who becomes president since
the Zionists (AIpack) bought and financed everyone
on the hill (Washington), whoever wins has to drink
from this poisonous challis and take their cue from
the Mossad in Israel.

Premium MemberAlice and Challis

Challis was huffing and puffing putting away the books.
Her sister Alice was playing her guitar with her feet up like hooks.
Alice did not feel guilty, for she had asked Challis to take a break.
They had been unpacking their house for a week, for goodness sake!

Challis was getting upset, angry, annoyed, because she was type A.
Alice knew this but could not change her or whisk her away.
The two sisters were unalike in many ways, this was just one.
Challis was always wanting things exactly her way; Alice was more fun.

The Late John Challis

John Challis became a famous British actor and that's what he deserved.
He starred as Captain Peacock in the reboot of "Are You Being Served?"
It's sad to have to tell people that John has passed away.
He guest-starred in "Open All Hours" and "Play For Today".
He starred as an evil man named Scorby in an episode of "Doctor Who:".
The title of that episode that John starred in is "The Seeds of Doom".
He guest-starred in an episode of "Heartbeat".
He starred in "Only Fools and Horses" and "Coronation Street".
He also starred in an episode of "Last of The Summer Wine".
Sadly, John died on September 19, 2021 at the age of 79.

[Dedicated to John Challis (1942-2021) who died on September 19, 2021]

Renewal

Breathing in this icy air, I couldn't help but giggle as I accidentally
bumped into a very large fir tree... that was so obviously
clumsy of me.
I startled a snow hare from his morning fare... oh there he
goes as he jumps and scampers away. What a bright
and glorious day.
Now as I step out into the clear, the massive domed mountains
rise up to great heights right before my awe struck eyes.
This white covered domain seems like a vision too impossible to be real.
I could never so capture the feeling... the feeling of God as it comes
all around me.
One could hear a whisper in this crystallized cathedral.
I would love to toast this day; the wine would be red if I had but
a challis fit enough for any king's palace.
In the distance I see a large buck with his ever imposing antlers,
standing on the other side of a large frozen lake.
I am at peace in my Lord's lovely realm... this place where the
renewal of my salvation and the healing of man's hateful ways
can be found. Even in this rare and earthly beauty I know that
Heaven does exist.

 Chris's beliefs, were his own
It's true he worshiped
Worshiped well.
But no one God,
No one idol.
With a hand cupped over a ear
He preached to his disciples,
Conveyed his love of words.
He passed on his knowledge,
In the only way he could.
His faith was in people
And their ability to write.
Heaven's book was opened
As followers saw the light.

I, like my teacher,
Am a man of little religious faith
Skeptical about the after-life.
So why are my feelings strange
Each time I write?
Like a hand guiding mine over pages,
Images each time I read.
I see a smiling face,
Hear a Challis joke.
Encouraged by words that are kind.
I am haunted by memories.
This I don't mind.
Like the lion who is king of the jungle,
Chris Challis was one of a kind.

Dedicated to a tutor at a night writing school.
He died in around 1997 after a fall at home aged 50.
Written shortly after his death.
I have just added one line in the first part and one word in the second.

Magical Words

Centuries of talented scholars have sought
For destiny’s word of divine empowerment
Thousands came as they did for Excalibur
Where brawn opened the challis of victory

Now only knowledge will open the doors to victory
It is predestined key for opening the ancient trilogy
Wit will outsmart the eccentric spell casters ego
That hid the words from the opponents not chosen

Engraved into a stone dwells the riddled decree
A jester mimes a tale showing what they cannot see
Many, reduced to ten stand, but only one possesses
The internal vision that will awaken during the quest

Wield your sword… challenge your mind
Seek for the well buried within the tree
Secure the path only your eyes can see
The ownership of heritage stirs and refines

Earth, Wind, Water, Fire
And Spirit
Must harmonize and flow together
The key is unity
Balance and Peace dwell within
Its walls

The Challis

The illusive challis,
Garish in its detail
Waiting to be embellished with jewels
Filled to the rim with your dreams
The one you are looking for
You thought I held it
And I tried to carry it for awhile
But I could not find its jewels
And it was too much for me to carry
It burdened me too much
It encumbered me so I could not stand alone
So take your glorious challis from me now
And let it burden you
Free me from your back-breaking dreams
And I will take up my own challis
Beautiful in its simplicity
And I will carry my own dreams
And they are no burden at all
Because they are as light as air
