The Challis
The illusive challis,
Garish in its detail
Waiting to be embellished with jewels
Filled to the rim with your dreams
The one you are looking for
You thought I held it
And I tried to carry it for awhile
But I could not find its jewels
And it was too much for me to carry
It burdened me too much
It encumbered me so I could not stand alone
So take your glorious challis from me now
And let it burden you
Free me from your back-breaking dreams
And I will take up my own challis
Beautiful in its simplicity
And I will carry my own dreams
And they are no burden at all
Because they are as light as air
