Celadon Poems

THE COLOUR GREEN

The distinction is of no relevance
It is one and the same in my eyes.
Lime, Forest, Hunter and Mint Green ;
Sage, Seafoam, Olive and Pea Green;
Emerald, Jade, Chartreuse and fen Green;
Verdigris, Celadon and Spruce Green;
One truth remains: it is Green.

It represents nature and harmony,
A symbol of refreshness and renewal,
A beacon of eco-friendliness and sustainability.

It calms my nerves and breathes serenity,
It projects growth, abundance and prosperity.
It raises the bar of optimism and hope,
A full, balanced meal for my emotional stability.

Time and again, i find myself at the crossroads of uncertanity.
The room before me houses two colours,
Each holding the unknown.
I tremble at the thought of meeting the unexpected.
With the keys in my hands and my name stamped on its doors,
I stand still, like a tree in the absense of wind.
I contemplate the quantity and quality of the ingredients i mixed,
were they enough to warrant the colour that i seek?

Premium MemberUnder a Sky of Celadon -

Under a sky of celadon -
   I watched bees huddle
In frenzied expectation
   Of riding a flaxen petal.

Lupine and globe mallow
   Danced about while sage
Waved at me from below -
   Comprising my entourage.

I saw pale butterflies mingle
   Within dewy creosotes
Then came an argent gale
   Which tugged at their cloaks

And then - the drape shifted
But my vision proves true -
A celadon echo gifted
   To me that sunny interlude.

Cosmologic

amidst panic and chaos I'm soaring in orbit,
miles upon miles above earth's surface,
far distanced from sickness and hardships,
deplorable wars and racial injustice,
all I can see is one planet united,
and land without borders

one side blessed with light,
the other set in darkness,
one half full of blue skies,
one adorned with radiating night-time neon lights,
and endless starry wonders

from deep blue seas to celadon forests,
mountains steep,
volcanoes seething with heat,
windswept plains alive in the wake of dust amassing behind galloping horses,
we all feel the same joy,
the same pain,
yet we do our best to ignore it.

looking down from my spaceship it seems silly at best;
the conquest for power at other's expense,
but then, again, getting along has and will always be boring

Turquoise Twilight

      Poetically sees,
      sinking in turquoise twilight
      gazing at azure sky.
      Sapphire rays kissing cobalt meadow.
Teal mist spreading celadon shades on violet weeds.
Lapis lazuli landscape in cyanic horizon.
Indigo panorama blending in cerulean view.
     Evening merging in viridian veil.
Salient self to swim on celestial blue.

CELESTIAL BLUE

Reaching mountain top at sea side
we swam and sank into celestial blue
gazing at azure sky embracing aquamarine ocean
          in cyanic horizon.
Crowd of clouds turned turquoise on sundown.
Indigo twilight blending in teal mist spreading celadon shades.
Cerulean ambient in patches of prussian hues.
Ripples of tarn on cobalt rock reflecting cat's eye glow.
     Your eyelashes on lapis lining.
Your sapphire eyes glistened in my lavender love.
     Evening merged spreading viridian veil.
     Periwinkle stars twinkled.

Willows bend over a celadon lake,
Like village women in dawn’s stealthy light,
Rinsing their hair ere the daffodils wake,
And birds crochet the air with chorus bright,
‘Neath a lone cloud turning gossamer white.

The Beautiful Seaside

The Chartreuse leaflets linger on a Cardinal petaled rose,
I only see Cerulean skies soaring over the reverie that flows.
The Coral in the ocean reaches from my ankles to my toes,
as the Copper pebbles surface the Citrine moss that grows.

Chocolate branches sway within the Celadon willow tree,
the Carnelian blades of the maple are all my Cobalt eyes see.
The Camel colored rock hides within the Chameleon sea,
oh, this beautiful seaside is such a marvelous place to be.

Cinnabar blossomed lilies rise above the emerald grassland,
Cyan colored wild flowers I gently pick with my hand.
As I sift through all the Cream-colored grains of sand,
I sip on some Champagne and mother nature I understand.

I used these colors that start with the letter C:
Chartreuse, Cardinal, Cerulean, Corral, Copper,
Citrine, Chocolate, Celadon, Carnelian, Cobalt,
Camel, Chameleon, Cinnabar, Cyan, Cream, Champagne

Premium MemberGreen Eyed Jealousy

She searched beneath flashing green neon signs
advertising cheap rooms for rent - ten by the hour.
She prowled - her vision sharpest in the night
Celadon eyes of a feral cat, out searching for her Tom.

Sufficient suspicions surfaced in a splenetic jaded mind
fed with juicy scraps and morsels of hearsay.
Jealousy grew in truculent shades of green,
to a height taller than a forest of giant spruce and pine.

Trust be damned, an evil spell cast upon her heart.
Neon blinks painted emerald stripes across her distorted face.
Possessed, she ripped her dress and screamed his name.
Pounded on doors painted in deep verdant hue
all closed to the night's vulgar rantings.

Flashing lights, blue and red, a door finally opened.
Tears fell from green crystalized eyes
black mascara streaked down each cheek
a beast-like mask of caustic emotions.
Caged - the 'Green Eyed Monster' - locked away

The complexity of my mind
is a kaleidoscope of colors,
blending together with my moods,
melting with my personality.

In the state of darkness,
the murky browns and grays
swirl like a fog,
encroaching on solitude

Happiness explodes in a rainbow
of bright hues and illumination,
vivid and rich in their depths,
bursting forth across the vast horizon.

Anger beats in pools of red,
pulsing to a beat that pounds within.
Graphic splices slashing across the canvas.
Drums beating, pounding, with tempos rising.

Passion breathes in deep purples.
Magenta draws swords against indigo.
Saturation’s of sensations,
dissipating into midnight blue of release.

Serenity blossoms within orchards of green
Lime to Olive; Celadon to Sea
Flowing, drifting, soothing
Melting into a pool of contentment.

Oh spectrum of lights and shades
how you fulfill me.
Desires that form substance under your artistic palette,
absorb then scatter, reflecting my inner energies.
