Our home came from an old apple tree,
the storm came and we had to flee.
We still make honey for brie,
all my wonderful siblings and me.
I am the youngest yellow bee,
my family is filled with glee.
Watch out where you are walking big foot,
you will make our home go caput.

I know that you are busy wrapping up each gift
and prepping up the reindeer for a North Pole lift
but as your gear, please don't forget my house
I'll be waiting by the chimney quiet as a mouse
Life has not been easy since I lost my career
the fridge is empty and the rent is in arrear
I'm down to my last penny Gina left me too
my nose is pepperoni and I even got the flu
I know that you can't make me rich or poor
but gummies make me smile so I implore
bring me anything that fits into my sink
I finally gone caput, or so I told my shrink
I know that you are busy but here goes my gist
I got all of it on paper, then plump forgot my list
I'll be waiting by the chimney ,Santa dear
with some milk and beer for Christmas cheer .

Bratwen was a knight of slight ill repute
his good deeds oft times ending up caput
he strived to reach the halls of fame
yet it always seemed to end up in blame.
He heard tales of a damsel oh so very fair
who appeared to have vanished into thin air.
Her suitors one and all most hot her to find,
yet her captor wished in wedlock her to bind.
The king enraged very soon did proclaim
whoever saved her, honour could reclaim
Bratwen set out, his heart by beauty enflamed
the monster in his sights he quickly tamed.
Astoria so happy to be free at him glanced
fell in love and to Bratwen became financed
they circled that hall of fame as they danced
his steed carried them away while both romanced.

It isn't the dawn of another spring,
nor is it the clean mountain air.
It isn't the resort atmosphere,
or blossoms waving everywhere.
It isn't the poems we like hearing,
or the good taste of Myrtie Mae's.
It can't be the prizes we've won,
or questions poets often raise.
Yet from the first time we came,
we sensed something special afoot,
even though we'd entered amiss,
setting our chance of wins caput.
Our hearts centered on April
and the power of life renewing,
we'd sent the butterfly poems,
but another stew sat brewing.
It took us a while to discern it
minds stuck in a rut like glue,
as Ted stood up to explain,
and let drop the other shoe.
It's all about us *****sapiens
and how we relate to each other.
Then and there, our eyes cleared,
allowing our hearts to discover,
it's friends we've made at Lucidity
in these Ozarks hills we adore,
who've caused us to keep coming
and coming, coming back for more.

PATIENCE
There she stands alone
All seasons she’s been there.
The rain doused her beauty
The sun pulped her caput
Harmattan shroud her wit
And circadian ambiance
Robbed her Regard.
Her espoused lovers all gone
To the harlot Desperation.
Only silence heaved in her heart
A burden like Aso rock.
Yet she strive
On and on for fulfillment….
And one day all her lovers
Shall be awed at her triumph.
But then she cannot wait on
As much the length of six feet!

Well it's the reason for tears on your face
Well it's the reason for no embrace
Well it's the reason for no sunlite skies
Well it's the reason for your frown
It's the reason you are so down
It's the reason you're no clown
The recliner is totally down
Caput, Colapse,
And it's no surprise
Tears coming from your eyes
Part of you has died
Lying on the carport
Waiting to be buried
With memories inside
If that recliner could talk
