Jeweled crown
snatched from dark hair,
white horse ran for the woods.
Shrewd princess now stripped, is naked.
Chin up,
you have nothing, but CAN rebuild.
When fairy tales crumble
you swim that mote
free style.
Feelin’
it in my bones,
sometimes that’s all you need.
No huff and puff is stopping this,
fired up!
Being left to build my own skills?
All but invincible!
(Or so I’d like
to think.)
Nibbled
or inhaled whole,
rhymes feed weary spirits.
One stanza wets the appetite.
Ugly
tears are the mark of a good meal.
Poems can be eaten,
satiating
hunger.
Go squeeze
lemons and limes,
taste the torrential tart.
Let your knees buckle beneath you,
swiftly.
Pucker your lips perfect the twist,
the tangy 'Oh' fills you
nutrient rich
straight 'C'.
I’m off
to get closer,
you know where to find me.
Follow my voice to the front row!
Prime spot!
I want to catch all of the sweat
flying off his jacket,
feel the song pound
my chest.
Leaving
behind silence,
it’s absence over ice;
I crave impassioned dynamite;
Settle?
We only get to do life once,
don’t tolerate numbness;
Bend the knee to
wildfire.
Magick,
sly white rabbit
burrowed inside a hat;
Desperate for a sweet carrot,
he hides;
Within sanctimonious dwells
a deadly illusion;
Planned informal
parley.
Prayer
is the language
of the soul, rooted in
the heart of God. Intended for
holy
intimacy, a sharing of
ideas, wants and needs.
Mutual love
expressed.

Those Worlds
open their doors
to me for old answers,
dreams in new universes merge...
I walk
as somebody I've always known,
through unending conflicts
of tangled mind,
emerge..

I speak
I am not heard
I cry you do not care
I scream into deaf ears until
you're grown
you're grown
in frustration your tears fall
you scream into deaf ear
your child -like you
I smile
