Bask In Your Own Glow

I write upon the fluttering pages of your mind,
My words of hope to make your spirit soar:
Reveal your inner light and charm,
When dark gloom and grief sow
Seeds of despair, never let them your soul pursue
And grow; pluck them out and away you throw.

I write upon rustling leaves of your thoughts that flow
From the tree of your heart, my words anew
To ease your unease and repose:
When dreadful storms do harm
Your mind's cool ocean, let pearls of peace cast ashore,
And help you smile at warm sunrise behind.

I write upon those empty spaces that I find
In your fragile heart, my words to implore
You to be ever poised and calm:
When endless waves of woes
Try to inundate you, never let them drown you.
Bask in the brightness of your own glint glow.

Whisper Words of Wisdom

When your heart has been broken and your tears don't seem to dry
This in the words spoken from who had been the apple of your eye
In falling back against the ropes looking for a helping hand
Losing the last of all hopes in knowing they will never understand

Running to Our Dear Lord's Side and cuddling up in His Hand
Nothing from Him can I hide for there is no pain He does not understand
And as He finally dries those eyes standing you up on your two feet
Separating truth from lies, your own love from the constant deciept

Just looking up at the daunting task and seeing how far we come
No longer able to mask that all my feelings have become numb
But I am stronger than that, for the Lord has given me that Gift
And as I laid on that mat Jesus came along and gave me a lift

He said child these are not My Words spoken but words of hate
Such a Spirit rarely awoken which along with carries such a weight
Know My Love is true and will never leave from within you
Be, as I, gentle in what you do so to your own self you will remain true.

Premium Member Words of Wisdom To My Child

You grow so fast, already showing glimpse of awesome creativity
and transform discoveries from the industrious nature of your observations
so squat at my feet and raise your attentive head up high
to be equipped for this compulsory journey oh sweet creature of my seed.

My hands of your molding and chastisement
are already the processing engine of your refinement
my strong willed mind and love soaked heart
complete the stages as you hold steadfast
to the train I’ve prepared for you

Listen attentively as I perform this segment of my duties
and lets take a tour round the routes of wisdom
and gallivant the landscape of experience
while I pedal your feet and smoothen your soles

Seasoned flavored virtues are an armour through which
life’s shots are overcomed
and a colourful behaviour becomes a saviour in times of need

Labor not your whole life in chasing vapour
for out of vigour, flour is made from wheat,
Bread from flour, but all for a time of enjoyment and satisfaction

Guilty syndrome is exhibited when a person answers unasked questions
and don’t force out jokes from your head
or else people will think your sense of humor is on a life support

Sunset is no accuse for the clock to stop running ad infinitum
thus, an excuse is like a punctured umbrella
it’ll still not stop the invasion of raindrops

Your natural desires are borderless, but your ability
to strongly control them is what makes you distinct
from other species in the animal kingdom

Love has no prefix, suffix or adjective
it is what it is and as powerful as
causing natural instincts to be abdicated in favour of kindness
just for the carnivore to embrace abstinence.

He who begins a tale becomes its reference
don’t say what you cannot defend in court
rumour is a bad odour which spreads beyond the neighbourhood
and puts a noisy siren on your personality

Bad companionship will lead you to the garbage
and corrupt friends will join others
to marvel at the immortality of your adopted stupidity

Wash your face every morning with these words
and take your every meal with these lines
then would they be spices
to which your life is preserved.

Premium Member Advice For New Writers: Words of Wisdom In Verse

Always treasure what you write
Have your pencil and pad with you at all times
you might think of a subject
or a verse
write it down so you won't forget

Get all your ideas down
then try to rearrange them to make them flow and give them ultimate impact
to reflect the tone or slant of the piece of writing
Move words around in your sentences and see which sounds better

Capture a moment or an emotion always put your thoughts into words in whatever way you think most adequately displays them
Be alerted by nature and images you see around you
focus on the way it moves
Describe your subject
Find all sorts of descriptive words

Follow your insight; transport yourself to a location you want to write
Put yourself in its place and use all your senses
What do you
See,
Hear,
Smell,
Feel,
Taste,

Title is so very important in capturing the reader’s attention
It predicts content
It catches the reader’s interest

Truly valued verses of inspiration
Your heart is your guide
Encourage yourself

When you read others work, please be kind we all love to hear inspiring encouragement that motivates to keep writing
If critiquing is done in a nice way we don't mind hearing it, that is how we learn and grow.

Words of Wisdom To the Youth

As tears of strength and courage slip down my face,
I have waited so long for this euphoric embrace.
Through trials and tribulations,
I have kept my head up and marched,
Strived through fearlessly.
Though I walk through the valley of shadows and death,
I shall have no fear.
I know I am meant for more than this.
I strive for perfection,
Which we all know is impossible.
Therefore live life pure and full of bliss.
Be happy,
Take chances,
Fall in love… a few times!
Truly, genuinely learn to appreciate every little thing.
Moments are like shooting stars;
If you don’t keep your head up towards the sky,
You might miss out on the one that will
change
your
life.

Do not over think or quantify
let the words flow from your heart.
They will speak, even shout for themselves
so just write what is deep in your soul.
Let your words paint a picture
and they will glitter and shine

Words of Wisdom

Don't be my child, don't step on broken glasses

Don't be fooled by all of those sweet promises

I've been through a lot of regrets

Memories that I love to bury and simply forget

Treasure my child, my words of wisdom

I have a lot of story to tell, when I enter the kings kingdom

Wounded by those pitiless pawns, knights and bishops

Terrorized by rook and the queen killed all of my hopes

Listen well, don't act so stupid my innocent child

The world is full of jungle and really so wild

I was bitten by spiders, lions and snakes

To recall what i've been through still make my body shakes

My child, look at all my deep scars

Think thrice always, don't fully rush to reach the stars

Or else you'll wished upon it, to bring you back to where you start

Coz you have lead your life to a maze and welcome the dark

My dear sage, all your words are of true wisdom

But let me take my own course of freedom

I may feel the deepest sorrow like hell

But at the end like you, I will have a great story to tell

My Therapist's Words of Wisdom

1.) I'm stronger than I realize
2.) I'm not alone
3.) I'm not a failure

I prize this wonderful wisdom
I'm waiting for God's Kingdom to come!
I ain't no loner
Or a pitiful forlorner!
I am not alone in his eyes -
Delete all those lies
In your head, David...
They don't need to be there - get rid!
Get rid! Get rid of em!
They're pests, not a prized gem!

1.) I'm stronger than I realize
2.) I'm not alone
3.) I'm not a failure

I'm not a dried-up bone
My faith is nourished - I answer my phone
When He and he calls to me,
I respond favorably
I'm as strong as Sampson in the bible...
But I won't ramble
On and on about that!
I abide by his and His wisdom right off the bat!

1.) I'm stronger than I realize
2.) I'm not alone
3.) I'm not a failure

I feel like a failure at times
But, I'm not! I haven't committed terrible crimes
And just gave up on the spot
Don't leave me to rot...
I'll give it all I got -
I'll keep living my dream and my fantasies
No one's gonna stop me...anxiety stings like bees

1.) I'm stronger than I realize
2.) I'm not alone
3.) I'm not a failure

My therapist's words of wisdom
Numbs my pain and mends my broken heart...
Thy Kingdom come~~~
I don't want to roll in the death cart

Thank you, Mr. Sok
You are my therapist and a great friend to talk to
I appreciate your hard work, so
I wrote this poem for you...I hope it rings true to you!

Words of Wisdom

Words of wisdom
I find it to be false
nothing is as it seems
people change
hearts change
mind change
and this ever changing
cycle of changes
bring laughter, fun, tears
shattered memories into the
rusty frames of photograph
hanging on corner of
a dark room
with fading recollection
of what was merely you
but
with cruelty of time
what has now been forsaken
forgotten
words of wisdom they remain
hanging in that same corner
and a foolish mind runs you like
a donkey on a loose

Words of Wisdom By Grandma Bea

Wisdom from Grandma Bea

The worth of a man isn't his looks
It's not to be found in fashion books
But in the legacy he leaves behind
As he goes about his daily grind
Was he loved by family and friends?
That's what counts as this life ends

Advice For New Writers: Words of Wisdom In Verse

Dear Future Poets:

The best advice I have for you is this:

Read! Read! Read!

Read the old Masters and read the new.
They will implant their wisdom in you.

And the insights that you receive
from the poems that you read,
will water your soul, like rain on seed.

How does poetry taste?
Have you ever eaten a poem?
Have you ever had ink ooze out of your mouth?

The poet, Mark Strand has.
In his poem EATING POETRY
Things are happening at the local library.
What? Well, you'll have to read his poem to find that out.
Mark uses intriguing titles and strong images to draw the reader in.
You, too, can learn to write poem titles that attract readers.

You'll also learn writing techniques from "How to" books.
Then, perhaps, practice your writing by bubbling spring brooks.

As a writer, you'll want to stock your
mental tool chest with poems that inspire.
Now, Write! Write! Write!
to your heart's desire.

One last thought: "Wonder is the beginning of wisdom" A Greek Proverb.
