Down and Out In Saigon
Down and Out in Saigon

Southeast Asia, and Mexico
 has always attracted
A certain type of westerner
The down and out

On a down word spiral
Why?
Relatively cheap to live
Lots of part-time gigs

Teaching English
Or other things
Cheap Booze, drugs, sex
Readily available

Places to stay
Dirt cheap
And no one needs
To sleep...

Tribute To the Wolf
Tribute to the Wolf

I am of your nation (Cherokee)
I have travelled far to find my family
 (They are scattered across America)
Boundaries are now gone
I know you as you know me

My Mother taught me so
I know you, ” a ni wa ya”
(Of The Wolf Clan)
You...

The world will not change for the better until the so called lowlife is listened to and respected just as much as anyone else. It also also seems that the contemporary Westerner, not excluding any gender, is too rigid and too frigid. No if, ands,...

Comp Sci and Sci-Fi --- a Nonsensical Poem
Computer science is abbreviated as "comp sci."
Comp sci is so hard it gives you a sigh.
Computing is everywhere in the world of sci-fi.
Network is so prevalent these days you can't get by without a wi-fi.
When I said so to a Scotsman,...

The Bleeding Machine
This world is ours
If we put our heads together thats cleverer
The Media pins the masses down like wrestlers
Biased to the westerner
Showing of the worst of Africa
Reporting Ebola to Malaria
But missing out the beauty
with intentional duty
Recording wars and mass hysteria
They show the poor with bowls on...

July 4th An Emblem
US horizons shine
In jubilation
For today, is the 4th of July
As cracks of guns and fireworks
          hearten
To celebrate American Independence!

This freedom loving nation
A bastion of heart warming citizens
Today, sing in unison so valiant
Despite dozens in streets...

Natasha
Moscow 1990s. The Soviet Union has collapsed, bare shelves in the shops, no wages - nothing. People line the streets trying to sell what few possessions they have. Natasha is one such citizen. Like many other respectable women, she turned to prostitution.

Natasha

She descends from...

The Oasis
The Oasis
I was visiting an oasis in the Sahara, with my dog a pointer, but the night
came so quickly I had to camp in the car, shared my food and water with
the dog. I got up before sunrise, wanted to see...

In the Dandy lived a Desparate Dan,
Perhaps the world's strongest man;
A brawny westerner with stubbled chin-
His favourite dish was cow-pie,
Eaten whole...I tell no lie !...

The Price of Oil
Aghast, blood has been shed
The shedder is a westerner who sleeps in his bed

While his minions patrol blindly for fear of retribution
But deep in their heart regret their contribution

Georgey Pordgey pudding pot
Ran some oil and made it rot

He tried what he could but still he...

Spit on me
Wasn’t I
That destroyed your home
Tore your life apart
Sent you to the bottom
Of the world
With bombs and lead
I am on your side
I see the hypocrisy
I see the truth
I would give you
The shirt off my back
If that would help
And I have
But you wouldn’t...

Over the course of 25 plus years,
I have moved some 20 times in 4 states.
The course was neither aimless nor casual.
It wasn't heavily winding, but the route was crooked.

I have lived in a hotel and a boat for several months.
Each of our three kids were...
