Premium Member Vampire Bite - POTD
Come closer ears
Come closer hearts
I'll whisper as the lie departs
My lips

Will pout
My eyes will scan
The room surveyed as truthless
Scam

Devours with teeth
Pointed and sharper
Than gracious softness when truth
Doth scarper

The vampire bite
Without reflection
To veer your soul in wrong
Direction

Don't tell. It's just
Twixt you and me
No harm intended just..
Promise...

Where the Worm Never Dies
where the worm never dies and the fire's never quenched...foolish sinner souls stay
drowning and drenched in streams of blood, sulfer and sweat...there is no escape from eternitys snares, traps, and webs
like rats and roaches and mice and men in a volcanic river of rage
1000 times a day...

A soiled foul foil, this dirty 'blade'
A truthless slithering renegade
A ruthless spineless conniving man

No of him, I was never a fan.

I saw him through the many years
I turned the T V channels over
I said he is not as he appears.

No I was...

Maya Angelou proclaiming
She knows why the caged bird sings
While a raven Says forevermore
Brings to mind Edgar Allan Poe

Sir Walter Raleigh did inspire
with his poem "Like truthless dreams my Joys expire"
Emily Dickenson gave us many wonderful verses
"Apparently with no surprise" being among the first

For sonnets...

Becoming Oneself
Truthless,
I was searching the self,
in truth of life.

It leaves many
questions, unanswered.
There was import-

of risqué. The generated
heat would kill
ordinary answers.

You can tear up,
a mountain to release
the particles,

although invisible.
You stretch out your hands
to collect black currants.

For a kick-start
you start shouting.
I am the truth !

Lies and Rumors
Never underestimate
How the way you instigate
Trouble every single day
It is making blue skies grey
For everybody that you meet
There's a cloud over the street
That you're always walking down
It's affecting this whole town
Every word you say is truthless
You are rotten really ruthless
Telling hurtful painful lies
Your ready to...

In My World
what is it that my soul is searching for
along this empty beach of thoughts
meaningful entreaty
placid as these gentle tossed waves
I wonder, what do I implore

upon the news of dismal forecast
the palm fronds move in gentle wistful stir
create the calm from which I sip pink lemonade
deep...

True To Life
Truth as we see it
Is not as we’d choose it.
The true say “so be it,”
The truthless refuse it.

Life as we want it
Is not as we hold it.
The lifeless still haunt it,
The living remold it....

Premium Member Gambler's Confession
If my story be told, Lord, I’d have to confess,
I’m a rattlesnake scoundrel, no more and no less.
But I’ll bet even Jesus forgives me my vice.
Seems we both lost our shirt on a throw of the dice.
I’m a graceless, tasteless gamblin’ man,
A working class...

Haunted Home
I wanted so badly
to know every darkened piece of coal
beneath your sooted mantle
See for myself how every well lit pane
Became a sunlit stage
Where the glittered dust danced so graceful
How every long hallway corridor
led to every spiral staircase
Alway leading to something more
The home...

The Environmental Reformation

“The Verdant Oath of Gaia”

(An Epic for Environment Day – June 5)

I. Invocation of the Living Earth

O breath of Earth, in twilight’s greenest vow,
Thou pulse beneath the mountains’ argent brow,
Awake thy voice, O Gaia, long betrayed,
To stir the winds and waters once obeyed.
Let forests speak...
