In My World
what is it that my soul is searching for along this empty beach of thoughts meaningful entreaty placid as these gentle tossed waves I wonder, what do I implore upon the news of dismal forecast the palm fronds move in gentle wistful stir create the calm from which I sip pink lemonade deep beneath the wise words I keep inside to review events from the seashore in my own world of hopes and dreams the world is an abstract meme where I make a stand like a lighthouse against diatribe of false claimed truthless lies it is the least I can do with my little score so I contemplate in search of my identity while designing the gardens of my endeavors of the small life I am busy and have the ability to welcome the unknown at the door when I look you in the eyes with your smile wide the moon hanging upside down in Winter or the cat laughing in the green limbed tree is there any way to know before sunset what is it I am hoping not to ignore true love on a knights’ saddle of sparkling stars letting down a golden string of safety just before the witches’ hour strikes its cord remember my daring or cross me off with a marker worries better let go to flow with the breeze as before 5-9-021 ALL YOURS (May 11) Brian Strand contest
