Voracious winter’s cacophony 
Cape starlings, turtle doves, pigeons 
Conductor Crow, on wet corrugated 
stage, beak battling for bun crumbs
earth wrapped worms

Where is the Red ?

Droplets of night-rain decorate
fairy tightrope washing line
phone battery recharges dead dots
a memory too full of autumn
