Abc's For a Young Captain

Always seek to be guided by the North star - Polaris
But never forget to look daily at the Southern Cross
Constantly be reminded that a greater power is also stirring your ship.
Deny yourself the enchanting songs of temptations
Endure and listen to the whispering waves of truth
Fight the cold and heat that wears you down
Get enough sleep for the day will surely be long
Help strangers along the way, keep your rafts and life rings ready.
In strong winds, ride the waves but grip the helm steady
Just you, only you- the captain decides your destiny
Keep your lifeline always secure
Lest sudden waves of trials come crashing
Manage your provisions wisely for land maybe distant
Note every important turn or decision for you may need markers
Order your men with authority but keep a humble heart
Picture your goals, make vivid your plans and charge!
Quietly accept defeat and learn from mistakes but keep charging.
Respect everyone for what they are, even your subordinates.
Stay on course, veer only when necessary but be wary of time
Teach and learn from teaching
Ultimately, be the master of your time…
Vanguard of your wishes and hopes…
Winner of your struggles…
Xenagogue of lost souls…
Yoke of dependence and comfort
Zealot of faith and love.

Dwight D Eisenhower

Choosing a favorite President is quite an arduous task
Given that most politicians usually wear a spurious mask,
but as a student of History, there was one that I admired;
" the scrappy kid from Kansas."* So many he has inspired.

In his biography there's a plethora of interesting information.
'Ike" was a 5 star general, besides leading this great nation.
A war hero, selected to be America's Commander and Chief.
A man of great integrity, who did not cause his country grief.

In his honor, a Washington Memorial was dedicated.
His bravery in war, and acts as President are celebrated.
After the war, he commanded European NATO forces
and overthrew communism from it's evil courses.

Voted U. S. President in 1952, with the slogan, "I Like Ike,"
Richard Nixon was his running mate; they were nothing alike.
In two terms served, he created a grand legacy for his name.
A President for the people, to him the office was not a game.

There are many valuable quotes that Eisenhower left behind
and I'll end with a few that I feel worthy for us to keep in mind;
none more appropriate than this one, I was happy to find...

"Some day there is going to be a man sitting in my present chair who has not been raised in the military services and who will have little understanding of where slashes in their estimates can be made with little or no damage. If that should happen while we still have the state of tension that now exists in the world, I shudder to think of what could happen in this country."

"The middle of the road is all of the usable surface. The extremes, right and left, are in the gutters."

"Leadership consists of nothing but taking responsibility for everything that goes wrong and giving your subordinates credit for everything that goes well."

"If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power."

Bernard's Writing To Esther By Vera Polozkova Translation

Bernard is writing Esther: "I have a family, a nice shed,
I always take the lead and have never in life been lead.
In the mornings I walk Jess, at night I drink rum, eat bread
But when I see you - can hardly breathe as if I'm already dead."

Bernard is writing Esther: “I have a pond nearby,
Children run there to swim, but often lie
That to swim. I’ve seen it all – Singapore from bird’s eye
From Iceland fjords to Somaly ore plies
But if you are taken away from me – I would die.”

Bernard is writing: "Income, finances, audit,
Jeep with a driver, stereo sound with voice of Edith,
And a thirty percent discount at favorite bar -
I can drink with no cards or cash or credit.
If you look me in the eye - God's staring from afar."

Bernard is writing Esther: "I'm forty eight like others of beau monde who are bald,
I recall who I am with help of visas, passport and driver's license - I'm old.
Flooded trench pit, nuclear grave digger scolds,
Subordinates like ninepins - I count their heads
But if words were also a currency,
Then you're out of my word league, flag of red."

“My little girl, you are just as beautiful as Banshee,
You’ve come to tell me I’ll die but not yet and not she.
Don’t write me, Esther, please don’t write. You’ll see
It's that I would not possess enough soul,
My old tired soul has been savaged by me.”

Sexual Harassment

Sexual harassment is a beast that stains the inner
being of vulnerable women. Their vibrant spirit has
been attacked and like a rose without thorns, have
ask society for help.

these valiant women have found the remedy for
their degradation. Now, these women enjoy the
refreshing breeze from snow-covered mountains
their spirits had yearn for.

There are others who have endured this harassment
but like a butterfly dancing around a garden, have not
yet had the courage to come forward. For the butterfly
is aware of the vicious ants waiting if the try to rest.

Men have and continue to suffer the agony and
discomfort from powerful women corrupted by power.
These females subject their male subordinates to
their whims. The dignity and pride of these men
have melted away like ice in a warm Spring day,

These disgraced men endure the touching, the suggestive comments and the dinners at their bosses homes or apartments. The web has been laid and she expects them to satisfy their needs. These men have families to support and after all, they are men so they keep quite.

Being a man and complaining would mean more humiliation and fear of society who have their ideas of men and women. The community would laugh and portray them as weak and less than manly so like an infant without a voice, they endure.

Premium Member I Am That I Am Not

Art rejoices through my special handy exhibition
but a parent’s call for a prestigious profession makes me freeze.
I’m simple with a mind so soft and a hand so helpful
siblings dive into the pool with liberty to put my charity to a tease.

My happiness, my pride, my life and my child,
out of wed luck, she exists but religion demands I call her niece.
The path to greatness and narrow road to this high placement has been solo
but now a baptized celebrity to manage so many friends like bees.

Enjoying what I had sweat for with the liberty to be cheerful or not,
refusing the society’s wish to give half of that, tags me with a moral disease.
Not conforming to the luxurious flaunting of the class of my colleagues
condemns me to a foul-smelling stain in the brotherhood like feces.

A constantly smiling boss, so gentle and understanding
uncharacteristic freedom, my subordinates disrespectfully request a lease.
Living up to the standard of the public, I always try to please,
it’s so tiring and fatal with the media in possession of my keys.

Negotiating a diversion to the demands of the environment
subjects me into a suitable slave for the satisfaction of others.
I extract my mind, limbs and heart in philanthropic donation
what then would be left is worn out remnants of slaughtered geese.
Selfishness is a good control mechanism in a crude world of opportunists
I’ll use that to protect my happiness, loyalties and peace.

Premium Member Dont Ascertain When You Dont Know

Self knowledge equated to the encyclopedia
and perceived facts, products of personal reasoning
the efficacy of thoughts should not be questioned
and assumptions simply made real and absolute

Typical of such a thought stamps on convictions that
the banana and plantain are the same
a superior race surely exist
leg size has a great correlation with the male’s genital
the measure of one’s success is solely factored
in his accumulation of wealth
and money is the root of all evil.

This mindset can walk on hot coal just to prove these points
Columbus was the first European to visit the Americas
bulls are colour blind and bats are completely blind
women are subordinates to men
and a pure heart is one which covers its body from head to toe

This mind can even tear its clothes to rags
in displeasure to your opposition to issues such as
Sydney is Australia’s capital
the earth’s evolution is the cause of day and night
Africa is a country and its inhabitants exchange
morning greetings with the Lion and the Chimpanzee
and Neil Armstrong is the first human to journey into out space

Despite carrying the internet even to the dreams
and having global captions mixed with daily breath
assumptions such as these are nurtured
religiously, with rigidity and military acceptance
the biggest illiterate of the 21st century is one
who cannot learn, unlearn and relearn
so said Alvin Toffler, the Australian Educationist.
Oh sorry! The American futurist

Peter's Bread

PITA BREAD

Go in the Portal to read.
It is just a vestibule to perceive, to conceive, to form beliefs, to establish creeds.
This world is in a make-believe that government is to bring subordinates to their knees.
They lack the power to achieve the leadership they seek.
Inform yourself that you are not that weak.
You will accomplish eradication of cruelty in the Middle East.
A man must be for his cause.
He must depict his adversaries to move forward.
When he is for what is right, you see the passion in his eyes.
No one has suggested a greater faith.
The beheadings, the amputations, the etcetera is annihilation.
Injustice atrocities will not bring structure but constructive abomination of the people
     that conducts the killings.
A man, a woman, and a child will become extended by the God they believe in.
A change must come in the Middle East.

About the deceased say either good or nothing,
Therefore at the funeral of the deceased chief,
The subordinates danced in full silence,
With happy faces, but slowly with grief!

Premium Member The Moment of Truth: Burning Or Refining

As exemplary as a High Priest
and consecrated as a Temple's Inner Chamber.
Respected amongst his colleagues,
reverenced by His subordinates,
distinguished, honorable and set apart.

Then came the moment of Truth
like the refining fire which may burn or may purify.
A Golden Opportunity never to be seen again,
but a situation to break or to make him.

This is Crude Diamond Ore from a glance
already anticipating to do it at once
creating an allabi with occurrence in France
and covering all traces in utmost Brilliance

Not minding his activated self-repugnance
certainly it will give birth to wealth and public acceptance.
If Life gave him more options, he'd freelance.
But with this one opportunity, he'd like to dance.
Having no qualms; even if he disappoints his fans.

He isn't to be blamed if Life is not a balance
and success among all has no concomittance.
This is the start to his enjoyment galore
but can be forever hunted by the Law.

The heaped pressure pressing more and more,
but what the Hell! It's just one flaw.
With a blessing so raw,
attached with bountiful Harvest he never saw.

Thinking of his glory and celebration
and already holding his blessing
like a woman in lactation
yet a part of him suppresses
his whole in castigation
making him feel so useless
like a man facing castration
forcefully taking his freedom
and peace in extortion

Just about to make the decisive move,
he resisted the push and forgot about the groove
having in mind, something to prove
he signed the blank cheque without adding another "0"

Kowtow

I see a lot of people hustle,
I notice how they bustle.
I sense a lot of them working ostentatiously,
I know they are tired and hungry
Craving for success, for something new
Yet only a privilege given to a few.
Sick of fiction, got fed up with urbanization
Are you a prisoner of your own nation?
Subordinates obey their bosses
A power that makes one weak, they possess
Will you always agree too easily?
Will you do as they say, eagerly?
You can always disagree and say 'no'
But you can ask too, if you don't know.
Think twice first, know when to kneel
An abused well-being is almost impossible to heal.
You can touch your forehead on the ground
But equality is at times quite hard to be found.
A kowtow should be a token of homage,
A sign of deep respect regardless of age--
Not a truce of superiority, nor an act of fake worship
Of being a slave from your own shadows and steps.

Nuremburg Notation

When ruling orders are given,
subordinates must make it so
If they are evil decisions,
then lesser ranks should not yield their integrity
They should have enough moral fortitude to say no
A Jezebel justification
is an ancient war crime against humanity
A Nuremberg notation,
is it's modern day footnote in European history
If you were a patriotic German soldier in WWII,
did you blindly do what Hitler ordered you to?
If you were a loyal Nazi partisan,
did you without question
kill Jews who were innocent?
Party politics sometimes play morality tricks
Before you follow the leader,
do you examine their moral views?
Weigh whether they’re healthy or sick
Don’t let political cowardice
get medals of dishonor pinned on your chest
Don’t let fleeting power greed
record you as a Jezebel flunkey
in the annuals of history
A Nuremberg notation
is a reminder to every civilized nation
Follow not a multitude to do evil,
let your conscience be your warning bell
Obey not the wicked voices uttered by sons of Belial,
for they will lead you down the path to hell
Exercise your freewill ...
don’t be a robot who only marches
to nationalistic pre-coded programming
Reject a devilish deal ...
Dorian portraits sold by a con artist
are a most unprofitable thing
Remember well, this historical footnote:
At Nuremberg,
on trial was a question of treason and loyalty
Nations come and go —
that is the way of creation
In the Book of Life,
if a blood-red tear stain be next to your name,
denying you eternal salvation
Then, God has cursed your soul ...
marking it with a Nuremberg notation

Premium Member Complex Simplicity

A woman and her entire family
submitting to a voluntary search
of a neighbour’s child’s pet.

Permission regularly donated
from a CEO to his subordinates
before exercising his absolute rights.

Chewing of corn by the Leopard
to let the Lamb live
or a king’s drinking of his royal wine
skipping the taste-testing of his servants
in consideration to the value of their lives
are humility in a majestic charisma.

Rare is getting rarer in finding
people of such acts
but an exact style of these exhibitions
will command enormous loyalty
ten times more than china’s foot soldiers.

Premium Member Embracing the Line

I can not speak for everyone
Let's call this my opinion
Back in the day, my old fashioned dad
Ruled over his dominion
He set forth rules, an imaginary line,
And we, as subordinates, embraced
Frequently, boys being boys,
We'd stray then beg for grace
A leather belt, a boat paddle
Whatever was within his reach
Discipline is the word he used
Whenever that line was breached
We learned, too well, to embrace that line
Or face serious consequences
It seems, these days, there is no line
Apparently there's not even trenches.
