Caged Silence

Caged Silence

A whispered voice
on a gentle breeze
hushed by the ripple
of rustling leaves,
goes unheard.

The silent spinning
of a mournful tale
inked on a page
soon grows pale,
goes unread.

Desires of hearts
straining the seams
stay tucked away
to cavort in dreams,
go unspoken.

Premium Member Remembering When

I remember when: on an August day, while on a Caribbean cruise
My echo rippling across the sea as I vowed Forever; "I Do"
Take thee LENORE for the Eons of Eternity, my ever Loving WIFE
Entwined as One, Forevermore: the Banns of me and YOU

I remember when; I impatiently Lifted the Pure White transparent Vail
I remember when; we sealed our Vows,as our fevered hot lips met
I remember when; we danced our first dance as Husband and WIFE
Our Hearts beat together as one, with a LOVE I would never forget

I remember when; Dad gave us his blessing with a sweet LOVING Toast
I remember, the sparkle in your Emerald eyes, as we shared our wedding cake
The sensuous wink, the body language, the silent whisper of LOVE
Soon in ecstasy, together as One, two LOVING bodies shall quake
                            --------------------------------------
I remember when; "Dad" said "Lenore is my first born, my baby girl"
"I have given her to YOU this day to have and to hold, ALWAYS and FOREVER"
"She now is YOUR Eternal Wife, the fullfillment of the void in YOUR Life"
"LOVE her with all YOUR Heart, for the Eons of Eternity, ALWAYS and FOREVER"

I remember when the setting sun, touched its reflection on the Caribbean Sea
I remember seeing Lenore's silohette, in the halos of the double sun
I remember thinking, soon we will retreat to the tranquility of our Bridal Suite
As we finally get to know each other as we entwine together as One

I remember when with a thundering roar, the Flagpole's mooring snapped
I remember the boom sweeping across the deck: knocking Lenore over the railing
Surely this was a dream, a daytime, nightmare : a moment I could never forget
Until my Eternity, the agony, pain, and sorrow, of this Broken Heart,Forever wailing

Heart's Choice

Heart’s Choice

Caged love’s
opened door
invisible
bonds that hold you within
engaged

Freedom
in heart’s grasp
compulsory
need to be loved in turn
entraps

Released,
loving self
empowering
the heart that lives within
set free

Secreted Jewels

We dared meet
in clandestine disguise
behind an overlay of water

Secreted
from watchful eyes peering
amid crystalline dancing droplets

Our first kiss
concealed from lurking eyes
extracting jewels of youthful joy

Rainbow arks,
captured floating crowning’s,
appearing and captivating gems

Tapestry Tales

Her senses melded with the tapestry,
coming alive,
as if the images woven
stripped her spirit bare.
Each image bearing the tale
of the ancients;
Forbearers of a forgotten world
stitched in new world colors.

Interwoven remembered glory
mingling with horrors, gory.
Interlaced, now, in a threaded story
merging the old,
with those of the new,
as if each needle threaded
pricked her living soul.

Sequence

Tranquil
holidays
Avoiding stress
while pocketbooks are stretched
Desired

Lost are

The Lady of Whitelace Castle

Into the inky darkened elegance
of moon’s hushed serenade
Within the clove of stately elms
her presence soon promenades;

The Lady of Whitelace Castle
dressed in a grand and stately manner
shimmers about through frosty limbs
causing many to flee in terror

She brings with her an afterglow
that blushes the unearthly scene
she remains, to some, a welcomed guest
to others an astonishing dream

This lady in ghost white apparel
drifts about from tree to tree
searching in vain for love unattained
perchance could she find it in thee?

Romantic Musings

Romantic Musings

Would he every come along
intune, as it were, to her heart’s song?
Will poetry be written
by he, of her heart, surely smitten?

She stands quietly
on the edges of hope
forlorn of love to one again meet

Would beauty be seen
in eyes, still fresh, from lasting sorrows?
Would he look beyond
wintered years, seeing new tomorrows?

By day she dreams
with poetic musings
penned wishes petitioning love to greet

Fanciful Thoughts

Is it our age or present circumstances
that see childlike eyes grow dim
or is it living within our reality years
that lend whimsical thoughts so slim

If one could ride the notes in play
through a child’s imagination
One could laugh and dance anew
around each magical creation

Into the cosmos we could fly
gliding on winged compositions
On breathless notes of whimsy chance
exploring without constrictions

If one could row a boat through time
back into their youthful days
and reunite with that childlike wonder
it’s here I think we’d stay

Lavish mounting for a frame

Remembering When

I remember when...
We were young and play naked in the rain
And we were so happy with the cold
But now soaked with the rain ,
I shiver as the tea cup is hard to hold.

I remember when...
You can open your windows at night for fresh air;
And there`s no fear of molestation or danger,
But now I stay awake caged with Iron bars;
And I`m still afraid of a dagger or gun from night stranger.

Pacing Seasons

Burnished copper leaves pace butterfly’s wings
as young maiden, pink dressed, leans
dreading harsh winter’s bark

Dreams Downy Touch

Her pillow heard the sighs
as her dream elevated her high...
above the grays into the blue
where billowing thoughts of you reside

Tangled in sheets of what had been
wrapping her tightly in thoughts of when
a gray rainy day meant sleeping in
caressing in moments that lovers spin

While the pillows crease of dreams delight
scores the face of her missing plight
Each downy feathered touch reminder
makes her world a little bit kinder

Never Forgotten

Breathe in deep the sheltered sea
Whose mist holds mystic memory
The stars are falling one by one
Into the rays cast by the sun

To settle now with mornings dew
A memory lost that never grew
Hold them gently within your heart
Remembering love does not depart

Breathe in deep the sunrise hue
Another fine day to start anew
Step by step in forward motion
Memories kept with deep devotion

Camouflaged

Wearing camouflage
in wall-flower tradition
no longer seeing another
who’ll take the time to peer within.

Perpetually in autumn’s dress,
near the deep sleep of winters cold,
though nothing close to bitterness
in her tresses could one behold.

With tranquility the foundation
of each new days new sun rising
True beauty flows unseen
winding gracefully between
past’s mountains.

As the parting lights of each sunset
blushes the cheeks of a day’s survival
the night begins in loving hope
of a dream that will bring revival

Casting camouflage
aside with dreams of him;
the only one who took the time
to see and peer within.
