Long Way To Go

Long Way to Go

No time to waste
no time to rest
got to get on my way
'cause times gettin' short,
an' I got a long way to go.

When I got up this mornin'
grabbed a quick cup of joe
jumped into my car
and down the road I go,
'cause times gettin' short,
an' I got a long way to go.

No time to smell the roses
no time to see the sights
got to get on down that road,
'cause times getting short,
an' I got a long way to go.

Why all the rush?
Why all the dust?
just running on down that road,
'cause times getting short,
an' I got a long way to go.

Each day that goes on by
is one less that I have,
don't have time to waste,
no time to fool around,
'cause times getting short,
an' I got a long way to go.

Finally a Song About the Things No One Seems To Care About

A great man once said "Stop and Go"
But now it's time to show

What I've got to give this world
Before I go I need this girl.

Seems so cliche, but it makes
Me scream, and then break.

Is this o.k? Why do I bother?
Because this is what i'm fatherin'

I don't need grammer to express
My farther plans to un-depress

You may know me to be 'unreal'
But, I just want you to feel, you feel?

Question what you can, cause your free to
Bring back the beat so I can tell all you
   (I need no chorus)

End rhyme don't match my words
No time- this time- my time, you heard?

Repeat myself to remind you again
But, I forget the nationality to defend

I'll help you get away- does it sting?
I bet it makes your ears ring

They can try to break us down, right?
They can't do anything about the fights

Riot will awake and my rhymes will be lost
The only true thing I would pay the cost

It's time for the world to change again
"Republic just doesn't cut it" you say?

I'm ready for a new dawn now
The dusk is upon us- a new crown
(And by the way: I don't need no chorus)

Suspicious Through the Year

Calling time is here; hand me the phone dear
Fun for all that lovers call
Will they miss you this year

Snows flare in the air, they are every where
My lines or your lovers’ rhymes
Which one you deeply care

Snows flare in the air; I’m goin’ no where
Come, be by my side
And leave the phone just there

My love, I am here; there’s no other dear
Oh, why can’t you really see
Suspicious through the year

Premium Member Love Across Time

"I get this feeling I may know you",
from another time and place.
It's as though I know your inner soul,
although I can't recall your face.

Your every move is so familiar.
Your scent invokes sweet memories.
"Come and let me look into your eyes",
my heart pleads out insistently.

"This bed of roses that I lay on",
I want to share once more with you.
The fates have brought us here once more,
across time we are renewed.

The moment that you spoke my name,
I felt a door open up inside.
"I've got two arms that long to hold you".
Love has always been our guide.

Song of Spring

Rejuvenate! It’s time of spring,
creation’s sweet rebirth.
And now we need not feel the cling
of gloom upon this earth.

It’s time for thankfulness. Rejoice;
in flowered meadows dance!
Praise God and lift a happy voice
with fellow celebrants.

Refresh yourself. Dip hands and toes
into a rushing rill.
Feel sun on skin as water flows,
and let your soul refill!

A time of reverence too. Recall
how Jesus paid the price
and gave his life to save us all,
the greatest sacrifice.

Reflect! Behold the blossomed trees.
Inhale the fragrance of
the lilac’s sprigs; hear drone of bees,
and ponder Christ’s great love.

A time to start anew. Revive!
Along each mountain slope,
the earth bathed green has come alive
with beauty, life, and hope.

Fall

No need to be sad
some of my fondest memories are of what we had
now its time to say goodbye
lets dry our eyes
                        no need to cry

So here it is we close the door
yeah that’s it things can be like how they were before
Another time another place
we’re still young yet - its not a race

But for now
autumn has come
let winter unfold
got to let go baby
before it gets cold.

Hanging On...

Silently...
Patiently...
I wait for my time

day after day
always the same
knowing somehow
progress is being made

if even only
(watching from the distance)

hanging on
to every word
everything You've ever said
You're hanging on
and won't let go
You have my soul, You're in control

dangling here
over the depths of hell
with eyes fixed
on the gates of Heaven

will I ever pull myself up
or am I too weak
in time letting go
only to drop

somehow knowing
(You'll be there to catch me)

hanging on
to every word
everything You've ever said
You're hanging on
and won't let go
You have my soul, You're in control

no one around
yet not on my own
trying to find
the courage within

looking back at where I began
(I can't turn away now)

hanging on
to every word
everything You've ever said
You're hanging on
and won't let go
You have my soul, You're in control

Too far
Too far have I come
Too far to let go

So close
So close am I now
So close to my home

My God

Telling Fate To Go Away

Why can't you take the time to come to me
If you can take the time to wait
Why cant you take the time to know me
Before it gets too late

You see the signs that I do
I see it in your eyes
I'll take the time to know you
I'll take you by surprise

If this isnt what you want
Why did you stick around
Like a ghost in the night you haunt
Its all sacred ground

Your eyes tell the story
Of what your mouths afraid to say
Your denial bores me
Your telling fate to go away
To go away

He Stopped Song Writing Today

He said “I’ll song-write till I die.”
They said “You’ll wise up in time.”
But as the decades drifted by
His mind was filled with rhyme.

He kept his demos by the bed,
Back to 1972,
And the s--t the publishers said,
He’d underline in blue.

Willie Nelson’s picture on the wall.
He went half crazy now and then;
And his best friend, Alcohol,
It helped him guide his pen.

I went to see him just today.
First time I’d seen him in years;
He’d finally passed away
From fifteen thousand beers.

He stopped songwriting today.
They placed him on the funeral pyre.
And they threw his demos in,
And the flames grew higher and higher.

The publishers came by to see him one last time,
Just the way I knew they would,
They clapped their hands and clicked their heels—
This time they’re through with him for good…

When the Valley Falls (Gothika: the Musical)

[MAKATA]
When the valley falls, the night will overcome
The air will sway, the end of day, is yet to come.

[RIGOTI]
And all of life, will perish on
A newer nightmare, is taking on…

[CRITTERS]
Sing. Sing. To the father’s hand.
Sing. Sing. For the promised land.
Cry. Pray. Don’t give up.
Fast. Breathe. The time has come.

[HORALIUS]
The sky is black, the air is dry, I don’t know where to go.
The time has come, the deed is done, I have to leave my home.
I go on without my family, I go on without my heart,
The agony of going on is tearing me apart.

[MAKATA, RIGOTI, and HORALIUS]
When the valley falls, and the dead arise
Day will end, and death will soar the skies
I feel the pain, of anguish in my heart
Do I dare look back and perish any more
Can I go back to before?

[ALL]
When the valley falls, and the stars collide
When the earth is ruined, and everything has died
I will find a way, I will find the truth
I will not stop, I wont give up, I’ll climb every wall, I’ll risk it all
I will do what I need to do, to prevent the valley’s fall

[MAKATA]	[RIGOTI] [HORALIUS] [ALL]
When…	The… Valley… Falls.

The Absence of Hello

Passing years offer moments perfection can’t replace
The distance sails by underneath the footsteps of love
Beasts shrink away from the light emitted
By two hearts meant to shine together

It’s what you know
As you’re growing colder
Realizing she was never there

Heaven should protect the fool
That tries to come between them
No hand has ever been held so tightly
A love as blinding as the sun
And when you open your eyes

It’s what you know
He’s left you here
With no dream to wake from

So, here we are
Saying hello to goodbye
Saying hello to goodbye
To the time not long enough in between
So, here we are
Saying hello to goodbye
Saying hello to goodbye
To the time not long enough in between

It’s what you know
At the absence of hello

The Stranger

I'll apply fact to the matter as a matter of fact - Fact doesn't matter.
I'm a time traveler, through mind travel, possibilities unfathomable.
Rather call a truce instead of battling dudes, 'cause I lack the unbattleable
lyrics that other rappers produce - In other words, I'm not too good yet...
I'll only spit what my mindset happens to induce, from past, to the future, and the present.
and I'll only spit with the intention of resonating a malleable essence.
Trouble? Forget it - S***, a vibe like this is nothing to mope around with.
Sober for weeks - with love for my music and girl like this - no need to take another hit...
Success is in tact but there's still scattered parts of an emotional disaster to gather.
A staggering semi-mastery of blasphemous metempsychosic abuse through psychological
self-battery;
actually self-betterment, for the sake of adversity. Almost gradually, rapture comes back
to me
to reattach my physical being to my mind happily - that's the first time in a while...

Just an incomplete Hip-Hop verse that I figured I would post here... The Stranger.

Kingdom

You tell me it’s easier
To see things in black and white
You think I make it too hard
Nothing’s easy when all I can do
Is see things through my eyes

A crumbling fortress
With faulty security
A broken levee and shaky foundation
The kingdom of me

You think there’s always time for words
When there’s nothing left to say
I say there’s no time living
‘Cause some part of us dies every day

A crumbling fortress
With faulty security
A broken levee and shaky foundation
The kingdom of me

You think you can just fly away
And soar up to Heaven
But as my wings decay
I just plummet to the bottom

Even with patched wounds
There are still leaks
A windowless penitentiary
The kingdom of me

Time Is Gone

Time has come
Time is gone
I’m here wondering: How did it last so long?
God knows I loved you
I can’t take it anymore
Tired of confusion, I’m already out the door
You said you’d be the one who was always here for me
But as you can see, that’s not how things turned out to be

And somewhere in time is a faded memory, of what we were, all our dreams, and
what was supposed to be
I know you loved me, but time, it always takes its toll
I gave you my heart
You completely drained my soul
You are so predictable
I see through your empty eyes
You’re just a hollow shell
It really comes as no surprise

You always got what you wanted
I was just too blind to see, all of the conditions branded on your love for me
But all of that is done now
And I’m not so surprised
Have to say: I saw it coming, when I looked right through your eyes
Looking back now, I don’t know why I did not see
I should have realized, you weren’t the one for me

Somewhere in time is a faded memory, of what we were & all our dreams, what was
supposed to be
You know I loved you, but time, it always takes its toll
I gave you my heart
You completely drained my soul
You are so predictable
I see through your empty eyes
You’re just a hollow shell
It really comes as no surprise

Turn the Page

Mr. G-man get away from my door
I can’t afford your kinda help anymore
Get your hand out my pocket
I don’t want to buy another rocket.

You say we need a financial diet
I think you’re a lying, that’s a riot
You paved your road with all our gold
And left us here out in the cold

Why is it as we grow ever old
You’re living well and growing bold
Life is good you claim to me
Hell I can’t even afford to pee

I think it is quite plain to see
You are the one who is heavy
It’s time to cut your growing wage
We need to see another page.

The founding papers said it’s all about we
It’s time for that the way to be
“We the people” that says we own it all
Maybe now you Americans will take my call

It’s time for us to buy it all back
Move our butt out of this shack
I promise it won’t be all that hard
To kick that bully off the yard

They focus on that middle road
But it is we at the bottom carrying the load
Time for you to see us shine
As we fix this crap and make it fine

Humaneomics is that a word
The finest word you ever heard
Look it up at K. I. Smet, read it clear
Then you’ll see there’s nothing to fear

Shoulder to shoulder it’s time to see
Us become finest Americans we can be
If I love you, and you can stand me
Then I know we can agree and say
