Passing years offer moments perfection can’t replace The distance sails by underneath the footsteps of love Beasts shrink away from the light emitted By two hearts meant to shine together It’s what you know As you’re growing colder Realizing she was never there Heaven should protect the fool That tries to come between them No hand has ever been held so tightly A love as blinding as the sun And when you open your eyes It’s what you know He’s left you here With no dream to wake from So, here we are Saying hello to goodbye Saying hello to goodbye To the time not long enough in between So, here we are Saying hello to goodbye Saying hello to goodbye To the time not long enough in between It’s what you know At the absence of hello
