(This is a fictional poem)
I've never been happy because I've endured one tragedy after another.
It began at the age of six when I lost my father and mother.
Three years ago my wife blew her brains out right in front of me.
That's probably going to be the most horrifying thing I'll ever see.
I had a bad breakdown after her death and life was very grim.
My kids were taken from me because I could no longer take care of them.
Two years ago I snapped when I went to a diner with a gun.
I opened fire and when I was finished, I had killed everyone.
Now I'm in an insane asylum and I'm wasting away.
I'll rot in here for the rest of my days.

Dramatic Verse
The wind was blowing when she left the city...
I believe it was twenty below...
Where she was going she already knew...
But... first she had things she had to do...
Get rid of the body that was clear....
There were no options, it had to disappear....
The heater was broken and blowing cold air...
She could feel the ice, building up in her hair..
She had cleaned up the blood as best she could...
As she had hit him hard with that log of wood...
All she had asked him, was to light a fire...
To take off the chill in the house....
Do it yourself if you are cold...he snapped
And while you’re at it get me a cold beer...from the fridge..
It was early morning when she finally arrived at the bridge..
This was his favourite fishing spot...
She pushed his body off the pier...along with his ice cold beer..
And suddenly began to shiver and sneeze.....
Oh well, she said...this too shall pass..
When I get to the Florida Keys..
PS..this is the first in a series..watch for part 2.."gator bait..the dream "

Prose Poetry
My brain is totally tapped
Something in me finally snapped
My blood pressures on the rise
Flames are shooting from my eyes
Getting feverish and hot
Tightness is about to start
In my hands as fists are closing
Signs of anger surely showing
Veins in my head fastly thumping
Stress is furiously pumping
Through every inch and every space
Redness on my cheeks and face
Tremors causing me to shake
Like a dangerous earthquake
That will do a lot of damage
I can not control or manage
These emotions so watch out
Smoke is coming from my "snout"
I'm a bull about to charge
Painful sharp horns big and large
So stay clear out of my path
At full force I will attack
Everyone who's been a jerk
In my life causing the hurt
Making me go this insane
Revenge is such a deadly game

Stripped
Barren
Nude
Undressed
Exposing what’s bare
Leaving me defenseless
Maiden violated
Pillaging her treasure
Wearing down the broken
Makes you hard as steel
Mother given the mark of Cain
The Crone cries for what
Was lost & stolen from her soul
By the tin man born without a heart
Snapped in Stockholm
Trapped in your tower
Of bitter neglect
My foe forgets me
I am dead to him
But, then I scream like a banshee
For justice
The curse of loving me
Is the haunting by the phantom
Who destroys all who torment me
Wicked betrayals become obsession
For the one you threw away
Time & time again
Like a piece of garbage
Mercy withheld
My sweetness turns sour
My love acidic
Vengeance rules the heart
That you neglected to fill with love
On the edge of madness
Bungee cord snapped
Desperately hanging on
Trying to gather what’s left of my heart
That you shattered in to a million pieces
Harrowing abuse, threats, manipulation & torture
My punishment for daring to challenge my ruler
Yet, you pretend it’s not true
So you don’t have to look at the batterer looking back at you in the mirror
Who annihilates women for sport
Even though dsyfunction and death surround you
You fail to see my blood dripping from your diabolical hands

Half a century
of wedded bliss
kindness and love
soulmates
by any other name
A life to the power of two
Bliss that is
Till early one morning
he found her
laying still
on the cold floor
What could he do
She was gone
There
In front of him
Lifeless and unresponsive
All he could think to do
Was grab his camera
Capture forever the last
of her loving eyes
her tender lips
his mind had snapped

Long-suffering shattered the window’s streaked pane
Tongue snapped like rubber band stretched beyond hell
Deep shards of blood pressure, jagged terrain
Fingernails screeching down slate boarded cell
Tongue snapped like rubber band stretched beyond hell
Cat-o’-nine-tails lashing words into gashes
Fingernails screeching down slate boarded cell
Sunday school lessons reduced to ashes
Cat-o’-nine-tails lashing words into gashes
Razor sharp chaos impervious to shame
Sunday school lessons reduced to ashes
Virtue out shadowed by rage's bright flame
Razor sharp chaos impervious to shame
Deep shards of blood pressure, jagged terrain
Virtue out shadowed by rage's bright flame
Long-suffering shattered the window’s streaked pane

he snapped
he snapped
we are
the
led
in
his
head
he snapped
calm down you word puppet
your strings are tangled with stupid letters
here ... hold my hand
water always gets colder
this time
of
year
dont worry
i love you dear
his hands were like ice
the grip in his eyes like a vice
he plunged deeper into me
each worded glance
he drove
into
me
indecision undecided
precision guidance
hand held
through
death
bring
me
back to life
season mine
tongues bitten
watched that word come from his mouth
his every thought we have captured
he writes and babbles with bangles
tangled like blue
barstool clues
red lipstick
on
a
cigarrete filter
smoke ring parted lips
welcome ing loves
sweetest kiss
little finger
wrapped
he
snapped

Lyric
Snapped into existence, so they say,
A timeless force, no birth, no decay.
Yet here I sit, this curious soul,
Chasing questions I can’t control.
Sometimes my wondering goes too deep,
A rabbit hole where mysteries leap.
The whispers rise, they swirl, they sing—
“Where did God come from and everything?”
I know it’s silly, I know it’s vain,
To let my thoughts run wild, unchained.
But still, the puzzle tempts my gaze,
An ancient riddle, a mind-locked maze.
The Mad Hatter laughs from his twisted seat,
As questions arise in a looping beat.
“Did he just *be*? Was there no before?
What lies behind his timeless door?”
I tell myself to stop, to cease,
To let my questions find some peace.
But my restless mind, it calls, it fights,
Through seconds, minutes, endless nights.
The clock ticks by, the cycle spins,
A marathon of what-ifs begins.
Each answer spawned begets one more,
Endless questions that shake my core.
If God exists beyond all cause,
A being bound by no mortal laws,
Then where, oh where, did he arise?
It loops; it burns; it multiplies.
Yet pause, take a deep breath, *let faith remain, *
And stills the ache of a questioning brain.
For truth, it seems, might not be shown,
Some things are not ours to fully know.
Could it be, when all's been said,
That faith comforts where reason dreads?
For when no logic clears the way,
Belief is the heart’s most steadfast stay.
A headache comes when logic wars,
With mysteries held behind divine doors.
Somehow, some way, it all was done,
Whether burst of light or whisper spun.
And though my mind will never cease,
I rest in the simple hope of peace.
No true answer, just belief's embrace,
A timeless journey through infinite space.
I wonder, I question, I ache, and I bend,
But through it all, I just need to trust in the end.
That he was just snapped into existence, no start, no end—
A timeless force, where all roads bend.

Senryu
In your eyes a spark still survives
A place where your dreams flies
With your hand, mind and heart
Created a sweet that was art
One fateful day you questioned the books
To find honey mouthed partner a crook
The trust your partner did swear to abide
Was stealing your dreams, a grin did hide
Heart heavy with sorrow, your trust torn apart
The choice to leave before you tore him apart
You vanished from where your praises were sung
While whispers arose and rumours swiftly sprung
You are insane your partner did claim
Voices in your head is how you were defamed
Yet you never told the truth or yourself defend
For the thief wrote the story and rewrote the end
Devasted by lies and deceit, your genius confined
You took to drinking to silence the pain in your mind
Numb and drown out the pain of betrayal
Your mind shattered in pieces, so very frail
The whispers grew louder and rumours took hold
Insinuating, manipulating, lies your partner told
Painting you as mentally ill to hide his theft
Portraying himself as your saviour, he is deft
Beneath the surface, rage keeps you in a trance
Lost in the rhythm of a self-destructive dance
Giving wings to rage to hide unhealed pain
Acting out for the excuse to numb your pain
Deep in your heart a fire still burns
A whisper of hope, as the earth turns
Look in the mirror and see what I see
Find away to heal your pain, be free
To escape the trap of your own confine
You will have to confront the loss and stain
Let the truth of betrayal and theft be known
Control of emotion and courage yours to own
Your brilliance should never be caged
Even in darkness it burns enraged
Never again hear you’re broken, unwell
Your truth will outshine the lies they tell

The mighty wind, snaps the twig
of a delicate branch
Drops to ground gently,
as if flying down angelically
To firm grass, with no sound
As a passerby's feet snap it in half,
again

Free verse
So your old man left
I told you he was a bum
He's been abusing you
Since you were young
Here's some ice for your eye
And your bloody nose
He says live with it
That's the way it goes
Good riddance I say
What are you going to do
Stay with me
You know I love you
He's coming back up the drive
Decided to come back home
Where are you going
Just leave him alone
I can hear the yelling
A fearful shout
The six gunshots
That blew his brains out
