Chameleons
many shades
of blue

pretty beautiful
things given time
change their colours

not so
delphinium
belladonna blue

Blue sky
hypnotises
blooms

face to the sun
smiling to
wave Apollo in

subtle fragrance
the wanting need
to get closer

around their
feet, circling geckos
5 toes like man

leave their
love-drugged marks
their tales moving

words written
marks...

Premium Member Mom's Old Iron Skillet
The skillet hung near the old wood-burning kitchen stove.
Aside from her family, Mom considered it a special trove.
With that blackened old pan she prepared delicious repasts,
That in my judicious opinion will ne'er be surpassed!

Ah, just to recall the tasty grub stewed up in that old...

Gratitude For Gratis Favours
From the bottom of my heart
I thank you honey bee
for all that liquid gold
that's bought and sold
Your precious honey from your tiny womb
Yes God bless thy fine honeycomb.
But sorry for stealing
your liquid of healing!

And thankyou baa baa bleating sheep
for your warming fluffy wool
The cold makes...

Rapid City (Poems From 7th Grade #3)
Rapid City, South Dakota
I always like Fall best
You can eat buttery pancakes
From huge Ihop
And Omelets
And Toast
And skillets
And lots of Reese
And Butterfingers
And Twix
At the colorful gas station
And listen to
Nice relaxing music
On the hill
At the Mt....

The Ducktwirt sat fudged in mud.
The gills rippled in worrying curves.
Danger was near.
The Quagmire Sea was no joke.
Skillets, Searpuckers, and Throttlecocks
Ravage these waters.
Ducktwirt's don't stand a Wormblat's
Chance in a gungle reef.

Then came the Zoomer
With its triangular cords and its dalliphins,
And the low limbering light...

Leading You
Leading you!

Close your eyes let me show you the way
Not a hit movie or child's play
Let me reveal some things to you this day
Answer questions family feuds pass my days
My ways are better than yours remember
Like Rocky shot Bull winkle twinkles December
Let me change sides...

The Parolee
By Angeline Star

The ad stated that
the prospective employee
should have the ability
to prepare and serve food samples
using small appliances such as
microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers
and knives.

He had a background
with knives....

1893-1917

On the southern facade,

Of the Golden Rule Store,

On Greenleaf Avenue to the north,

There is a single window,

On the third floor up.

Behind the white half open curtain,

Facing south and southwest,

A sixteen year old boy, once employed there,

Was on his knees facing east.

He was praying...

Don'T Laugh.
as the afternoon rushed by I was lodding a U-haul for it was time to say good-bye,
hot seeing how late July brought monson rains with no where to hind,
two hours into it a short temperd person such as I found my anger and wouldn't let...

~ (~) ~ ""hold On!"" ~ (~) ~ (Part #3 of 4) ~ (~) ~
The generous character-carried-by them good-old-girls-and boys down-home country-copper-
roof-all filled-up-silos-wheat-turbines waiting ready outside the barn deer-skins pegged down
low the greater-story askant-of curiosity carrying the pureness of a child as to why... .
Smoked-up hickory-honey-bubbling bacon saged-up getta-gingerly-popping in the grease in

Cleverly Created
Sometimes it's not for me to always speak
Things that have pressed and pressured me
I believe
By gracefully spilling this rhyme
In time this time a creatively piece
Will form and grant me what is needed
Like cop with no license and driver given ticket
Like a light that stopped...

~ (~) ~ the Things of These ~ (~) ~(Part #1 of 6) ~ (~) ~
It is those things such as these-yes... .

Like remaining on mute because your staying in tune with the close
captioning of the news set up in the picture in picture TV on the big screen. Of the
football game from the Bengles', loss, yes again,...

Her world is a paranoid marketplace.
Fear is the zeitgeist and panic her shame.
She’d married her psyche to a dog whistle pimp
Who’d promised her he’d drain the swamp.
And sure enough, he did.
Drained it right into her swimming pool.
Idea thieves, poetry forgers, and high-water prophets
Trouble her...
