The luscious light of a silvery moon…
Beams down while waves lick the shore…
A soft wind caresses and you feel…
A state of pure bliss that seems so real…

Silvery Moon drifts through open window.
Baby's bassinet is bathed in evening sky.
Across the open yards, Silvery Moon gifts,
gifts love and devotion to taper the shadows.
A shimmer to shield from darkness
dusting sleepy lids with light like baby powder.
Hold fast to fleeting innocence
and boldness of brilliant shield
as you swaddle my tender babe tonight
through open window, Silvery Moon.

Personification
By The Light Of The Silvery Moon
Man seizes the ramble of a wayward moon,
Echoes clear its pale look melancholy tune,
It lends a trail took before of song and face,
Man ambles in the real feel of its sung grace,
Glimpse that all the creator has caused to be,
Harmony feels to express nature's beauty.

The Southern Cross’ trajectory across
the night sky marks the hours that come to pass.
Her prone figure no longer an hourglass;
by the silvery light of Phoebe’s* gloss.
I cling to the edge of the bed, toss
and turn—my reminiscing turns to farce.
Hebe† has long since fled and passion is sparse.
As inscriptions on wedding rings embossed:
‘May our love last forever and a day.’
Eos, turn me into a cicada black!‡
Unlike lovesick Orpheus,** I’m not fey
and I would definitely not turn back
for another round of intimate play.
As lover, she had given me the sack!
I endure constant flak
from my mates down at the pub over pint
that I’m in a terrific moral bind;
inspiration is slack.
If only we could turn back aging clock:
Oh, Selene,†† you might espy lovers who flock
to her bed and lose track.

Her golden crown shone brightly through dark-quiet.
Adorned, in robes of earthen hues and flowing
Fiery dragons pulled her silver chariot.
Clasping whiteness within her hands, love glowing.
Selene kneeled before her father to beg him.
Her love’s eternal sleep and youth, her new whim,
Nightly, now, she treks the skies for love treasured.
Zeus granted her wish, sleep upon her shepherd.

The dancers sway to the
Rhythmic beating of the drums,
Singing with delight,an enchanting folk song,
As old as the hills,
Under the strange silvery moon,
A perfect embodiment of surreal beauty
But a fox howls with grief
From the graveyard and
A dreadful premonition hangs thick in the air,
The village is soon set in gloom,
The silvery moon is long fled.

On that starry night, as I sat on the open balcony
Of my own pigeon home, so cosy
I saw, mesmerization, O pure adoration
How beautous was this great attraction!
A blanket of stardust, a black one full of stars
Faced with it, so trivial seemed my scars
Life itself seemed so mysterious
And so full of grace so imperious!
As I watched with wonder, came running down my cheeks
Those tears, seeking their way out of their creeks
Merciful must be the high Lord
None knew why he did create a world so haggard!
Somewhere, thought I, must be an abode
There, sing the fairies, an eternal ode
While switching on and off the blinking lights
Of life and death, such must be its sights!
On that starry night, living seemed a must
A travel from a forgotten place to an unknown one
To live simply with the wills of just
Shall someday give me the high stature of the great swan!

Miles apart, we sit and stare
blindly at everything around
seeing you in everything I see
heartless; yet with love abound.
I know that you feel the same as me
like being intervened during a suspense story
reminiscing about our sweet past
living no more, living only in memories.
The night's candles are extinguished
and the sun shines no more
a pale reflex of Cynthia's brow
casting an evil shadow on my door
I can't seem to get out
oh! Sweet love help me open the door
and step outside to see the sun
shining brightly as ever before
I look at the sun, you look at the sun
it'll never change, it will always remain
I look at the sun, and see you looking at it
we see each other through the golden silvery sun
eternally together in our reflected manifestations.

Tis here where it all started, do you remember
Young and innocent we were, under the silvery moon in it's celestial splendor
Arms wrapped around each other, oh how could I forget
Then you moved far away, I sadly do regret
Years later we are back on this lonely bench just like before
As the sweet fragrant breeze of midnight fills the air so petrichor
Illuminating the sky, the silvery moon looks down in awe
Wrapped around each other's arms, eyes locked up in a mysterious glance
He reaches for her hand, the lovers start to dance
Cotton candy clouds swirling around in a mesmerizing trance
As their minds connect in a midnight romance
Flickering stars, no musical beat
Dancing to the tunes of their thumping heartbeat
Swinging her hips from side to side, feeling his warm embrace
Turning and twisting, her golden tresses wraps around his face
Drawing him closer, her lips beckoning for kisses
As their bodies meet he grants her her wishes
Souls in unison, lost in a world of love's delight
Kissing and hugging, hearts shimmering bright
As they continue to dance under the silvery moonlight

EXCUSE US WHILE WE DON’T BE PARENTS FOR A WHILE
I’m just not certain this is right for you two
Are you sure you can do what you need to do?
There’s a great deal of extraneous work involved
And suppose there’s a problem that cannot be solved
What if you see that problem as no big deal
Both with the belief that it will eventually heal
But it doesn’t and you need a physiction’s aid
All the while knowing this is a problem both of you made
What if a priority prohibits you from doing the right thing
Just leave it for an hour alone on that indoor swing
So you make up your minds that both of you know
That the problem ain’t a problem unless you say so
So out on the street you stroll with great ambition
And you don’t even think about the new addition
Now you may deem this belief as crazy or wild
But I don’t think two heroin addicts should be raising a child

The Silvery Scenes
By Stark Hunter
The silvery scenes,
Above the sensuous Mexican bloom,
Of transcendent yellow, red and orange,
Back there – in the digesting side garden,
Next door, adjacent the obscene lemon flowers,
An old sot sits and peruses
A darkened shuttered window upstairs.
Blue sky and creeping streaks of contumacious white,
Soar as sky ghosts,
A pitch above the silent stares,
And the forgotten entreaties;
The old sot remembers a long-ago morning in May,
Thirty years hence, years indeed
Filled with wandering gazes and
Imagined gaspings at day’s end.
You, the young girl of Mexican skin,
With eyes of the earth,
18 years old, and at last ready,
Ready for the great cosmic conquest,
You, spying and staring at the man,
Up there on the hill.
Using strong legs and decisive fingers,
I tended my garden, seemingly oblivious,
To your silent inert gazing,
Your self-embraces of squealing frustration,
There in your secret steamy spot,
Behind the darkened unshuttered window upstairs,
Translucent as a dragonfly,
You, thinking forbidden thoughts,
Of wild silvery scenes in the secret shadows,
With the man tending his garden,
And though alone and detached,
You, the young mexican girl next door,
Hiding behind that unshuttered window upstairs,
Knew nothing of his wild designs,
Nothing of his intended episodes,
The silvery scenes in the secret shadows,
Back there- above the sensuous Mexican bloom.

You came down the aisle and took my hand,
We exchanged rings with a vow, so now here we stand.
The first few years we spent our time,
You sharing my reasons; Me sharing your rhyme.
The children came...binding us closer together,
Our family's boat has sailed in all kinds of weather.
We felt the bumps, the heat, the joys, the toil,
It was all worth it, as we now look back and smile.
Our children grew and we watched them with pride,
As only parents can know...from deep down inside.
As we see them start down life's path on their own,
We remember the work in getting them grown.
Silver marks this day at last,
Has it really been so many years have passed?
In looking back on our love we can truly say,
We wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
For forever young will our hearts be now,
As on that day, when we proclaimed love's vow.

Couplet
While in my boat upon the blue sea,
It rained nonstop for endless days,
And I missed the birdsong in my tree,
And the sunshine's warm, golden ways.
But musical rain lulled me to sleep,
When at day's end, I closed my eyes,
With frenzied rain and waves so deep;
And I dreamed of pink marmalade skies!
But all things lastly come to an end,
In due time after running its course,
And I awoke to sunshine, my old friend,
Deep golden and warmth's last resource!
