Best Seize Poems
Live each day as if it were your last
I tell you dear friend time is running so fast
All of us would one day return to dust
I know it's hard to accept but we must
Tell the people you love about the way you feel
Give them a hug and show them love that is real
Say sorry to those you offended so wounds would heal
Accepting your faults is not really a big deal
Do it now and don't tarry lest it be too late
Sometimes it's not wise for the right time to wait
Because your plans could be ruined by fate
If you do it now you would feel really great
Smell the pretty flowers, listen to birds singing so gay
Enjoy the beauty of nature give yourself time to play
Remember on this earth we can't forever stay
So I tell you now is the time, go ahead and seize the day
Live for today, our wisdom cries,
On looking back through endless years
To youthful days with mackerel skies
When joy of living outweighed fears
Let's seize this moment while we can
Latch on to this day of life,
Those inner joys shared when a man
Does truly love his loving wife.
Leave old age for the elderly;
Let them reminisce
About the past, the things they've done,
The good old days they miss.
With age and wisdom as our forte
Let's love and laugh and roister.
Our ship has finally made the port;
The world's at last our oyster.
Our best of times ahead still lie
With greater happiness than ever.
Though yesterdays have all flown by
Tomorrow's dreams will last forever.
Seize the day!?Seize the day,!!?Seize the day!!!
Once I cried “carpe diem”—pluck each moment bright—
But now I know: no soul can truly seize the day;
We can but watch it vanish into night.
Time slips through grasping hands, in echoes vast,
Like memories we hoard—“This too shall pass.”
Before we sense its passing, a thousand moons have passed,
Leaving only footprints fading from the glass.
Open your heart—learn to forgive, let fractures mend.
Time won’t endure; only the love you send
Will bloom beyond your time—compassion, gentle, kind—
Impressions lasting long after days unwind.
We cannot hold on to time, nor merely let it fly.
Still, there’s so much waiting—for question, life, reply.
By living fully, learning wild and free,
From five years old to ninety-five, there's more to be.
As age ascends, keep wonder in your gaze,
Play games, try tastes untasted—let life amaze.
Gather with friends, sip joy’s sweet draft,
Find sunlight in the small, and laugh the hearty laugh.
I looked after an old lady and she always used to say
‘Three things never come back…
The spoken word, the sped arrow, and the neglected opportunity’
I look back on my life, yes I have regrets
Of the things I’ve done, or I haven’t done
The things I’ve said or I haven’t said
We must remember, life is all too short
None of us know what is around the corner
So seize the moment and do it now
Grab every opportunity you can
Tell people around you that you love them
For tomorrow may never come…

The autumn sun has risen
but yet to attain high noon-
make hay, my roses fair.
I would not be happy to see you
decaying with the hasting day.
I have short time as you.
Growing too quickly to decay.
Dying as the summer’s rain-
as the pearls of morning’s dew
never to be seen again as I’m.
I have learnt a lesson from
butterfly, your best friend;
“It is better to be happy for a moment
and burnt with the beauty
than to live a long boring life”.

Contest: Seize the Day by Regina Riddle
Seize the day
This Diwali night is the Festival of Lights,
A spark lend to dull and monotonous lives,
Living without friends is as if in a desert,
Souls chasing mirage, getting badly hurt,
Dr. Sonia created a group on whatsapp,
Eleven of us invited to join the app,
Sand dunes as if vanished in air,
How quick did we regain our flair,
Old days flash in memories afresh,
Precious moments getting subtly dressed,
Heart beats drummed, showered gold,
Emotional outburst is ready to unfold,
Murmurs in rhythm are ready to dance,
Joys abound attained in a stance,
Seize the day today, it's a worldly meet,
Never to part, future longing to greet !

The breeze
Has blown my way
A brush of scented moisture
Like a kiss upon my flushed cheeks
Tender.
Aura
A sweet embrace
Of a presence nearby
That blends its thoughts with mine
Mind eye.
That sees,
A silent give and take,
That no one sees or hear
yet echoes throughout the heavens
It seems.
Aware
Thanks to the breeze
That moves over the sea
To brush a kiss upon the cheeks
Sweet seize.

Nothing can separate us from God's love
Smile, hold hands with someone special
Genuinely care for others
Really inquire of their day
Walk in the mud, pick flowers
Listen to the sounds of nature
Feel the breeze on your skin
Make all those you meet, feel valued
in vibrant colors
shades of green on a hillside -
where wildflowers grow
~
a glass of red wine
hot tub and barrel sauna -
summer enjoyment
in the wind the bubbles float
the effect impacts your mood
Jump in that puddle. Make mistakes. Jump toward the edge. Hang on by your knuckles.
Dare yourself!
Get muddy!
Laugh your truth. Make fun of the ridiculous. Call them out. Live your life.
Stand in the rain.
Be yourself.
Every second of every day, no matter how mad it makes them.
Laugh at the rain.
Stand tall.
Punch yourself forward. Light your own fire. Keep yourself jumping. Enjoy the mud.
Splash yourself with happy.
Roar back at the thunder.
No one can get you.
You have yourself.
Soar, laugh, love, all hope is within.
Jump yourself happy. Splash. Play. Twirl, dance.
Be you!

Throw enthusiasm into your next twenty-four hours.
Find something new to master, to learn, to study, to play with, to enjoy.
Pretend this is your last twenty-four hours.
Play like you have never allowed yourself to play before.
Today is your day, a magnificent day indeed.
Your chance to see the concert you have always wanted to attend.
To create your online bio, to say hello to the person you secretly admire.
No more time to wait. Grab this day and dance, sing, cartwheel.
Paint this day with purples, yellows, blues, pinks, and silver.
Enjoy her in every twinkling, sparkling, glittery facet.
Allow her to take you into corners you have never before enjoyed.
Take all of those daydreams and make them come true today.
Your twenty four hours.
For you.
Today
is
the
day!
Resting atop the highest tree
Gazing all that is around me
Enjoying nature feeling free.
Weather is cool with a soft breeze,
Sinuous midst mid-autumn seas
Of glorious shades of dry leaves;
Spiraling gently downward weaves,
Beneath the bluish shade of trees.
Light-shower of cool rain appease,
Sunshine reflects rainbow of peace.
My heart's rhythm quickens; distancing
Slight movement in the brush teasing
Interest. Umber leaves stirring
Beneath narrating stately trees.
Spreading my wings, pleased eye now sees;
With sharp talons my prey I seize.
Hooting, I sit securest ease.

(Earth Day, 2014)
New life emerges;
Seasons change...
fragile Earth survives another day...
We scan our universe for origins
(and endings), extending vision
ever farther, reaching for utmost limits...
So much to learn --
trial and error, trial and error
(preponderance of error)...
and new life emerges.
Fragile Earth
survives another day.
Always there
in my heart
Every thought
fills me
with many emotions
The future holds
promises
and expectations
Hopes
and sorrows
As common
pleasures
that life brings
Life is
loving
and beautiful
Open your
eyes
Smell, see
and feel
Smile
and cry
This is more
than I ever
could imagine
Is what keeps me alive
