Best Seashell Poems
As the tides slowly recede
Remnants left upon the shore
Reflecting beneath the sunlight
That bathes them now, from beyond the once obscure depths
Shimmering and glistening, souvenirs to soon be found and held
By the eager eyes of a childs tender hands
Whom shall rescue them, from their once solitude
No longer their existence without a purpose
For a gleeful heart will bring them home
To be treasured, for countless years to come
And the tales which they shall both then share
Within the smiling whispers amid the night
Innocence of purities never ceasing hearts
Still capable of dreaming, all things beautiful and true
Enchatings impossible, beyond the imaginaries of hope
Stories from the waters, that washed them across all time
Into the warmth of a perfect child
That breathed the breath of belonging, for them both
Through the many magical wonders, of unsullied sight
Thousands of years upon their journies, to this destiny they have arrived
Beneath the glories of Heavens always knowing
Their fate, and their final resting place
In the softness of the endlessness, of the majestical splendors of a child
Where through they crossed these dark and murkened currents, to someday arrive
To be loved within restoration, was their longing and belief
All along as they journied, through this realm of translucent space
This place between nothing, toward these havens of faith
Dlivered from the shadows, into the light of conditions no more
Belonging to their finding, a million stories to be unveiled
To the amazement of a child, whom saw their reason from afar
As with joy they embraced them, and held them close to their heart
Cast upon the shores, glittering treasures beneath this sun
Gathered by the hands, of a perfect one
Beyond the night, it was love, that finally won
The reasons for it all, wrapped eternally, within the purities from above....

The Seashell and The Child
As the mercury soared above ninety degrees
We piled in the car and headed to the sea
It was dad, mom, sister and me
My sister was twelve, I was four years past three
Once on the beach we roamed around
I found a spot to build a sandcastle
Sis was talking, a boy she had found
And I with the sand, continued to "wrassle"
After a while I got bored
So I headed towards the water
I felt the waves lick my feet
And I ventured further to escape the heat
Suddenly, a big wave lifted me
And carried me out to sea
Back on shore, my sister was searching for me
At the top of her voice she shouted out my name
Her panic set in as she looked to see
If the mighty sea had claimed me
As her tears started to pour
Another wave brought me back to shore
After she saw me she dried her tears
And told me never again to venture out there
"Don't tell mom and dad," she made me swear
And then she gave me a seashell, it was my souvenir!

Hold a seashell to your ear...
Linger in it's tranquil tide,
breathe it's calming breezes here,
bring it's subtle strength inside
If you yearn for former times,
hold a seashell to your ear,
you'll return to warmer climes
and the ease of yesteryear
When you sense a tempest near,
if you would decrease the din,
hold a seashell to your ear,
find a bit of peace therein
Even now, as squalls move in,
you'll recall when skies were clear
if you, as rain falls again,
hold a seashell to your ear...

Conches scattered in shifting sands,
Ocean's painted art from high tide,
Caring not of past life inside.
Lovingly cupped in tiny hands,
A child of six years finds great joy.
Dirty hands bother not, this boy.
He lifts one to ear where he stands.
His bare toes dug in dampened silt,
Near sandcastle that he just built.
Dancing to sounds of seashell bands,
He squeals shear delight at the tune.
A sight that makes his mother swoon.
Ocean music, he understands.
He remembers time on Dad's ship.
Dancing stops and a tear does slip.
Conches scattered in shifting sands,
Lovingly cupped in tiny hands.
He lifts one to ear where he stands.
Dances to sounds of seashell bands.
Ocean music, he understands.

Sam, Sam the seashell man
Picks up shells in the soft white sand
Every day he walks the shore
Finding always more and more
Purple shells and pink and blue
Shells of nearly every hue
He walks the beach in morning light
And he walks again when nearly night
Little shells and pointed ones
Ruby shells like pearly suns
Every one a special gem
Made by the Master for His friend
His treasures all are kept in store
To give away to get some more
When little children come his way
He gives them shells to bless their stay
Hear the ocean in the shells
It’s captured waves and ocean swells
You hold a treasure in your hand
Sweet memories of the beach and sand
They are blessings from the seashell man
Seashell
I thought so strong,
broken beneath the waves,
will whisper of its ocean realm
no more.
Sea
Is full of majesty
Person picks up seashell from the sea
To listen to ballad of the sea
The duns are covered by sea holy
The seashell song is of destiny
It unveils the soul of the sea
And persons own soul aches listening to its beauty
Above the sea sunset seems to set heavens a blaze
The almost surreal abstract beauty of it will amaze
Yet very real is the visage beyond this misty haze
With violet orange and gold colors that spirit will daze
The seashell sings of various things
About albatross that spreads its huge wings
About hidden treasure of golden and diamond rings
And about glory of distant stars it sings
One of the ballads is of evolution and imagination that need no reference point
From any reference point
And ever growing temporal vortex of what is imagination from that high point
And how the soul to this sublime majesty is conjoint
The soul is like the seed that toward it yearns
The seashell is like a lens that shows its patterns
It guides the soul like on sea ships are guided by lanterns
And through the seashell of its existence the spirit learns
The sun illuminates the dune
By the sea lagoon
It reminds the person that to ballad of the shell is in tune
That what it sings about is far beyond the dark side of the moon
Skill kisses the sand,
a game with the ocean floor;
Each move confident;
The sea tumbles with shells,
High tide reveals a check mate.
collecting seashells
her deaf ears hear the whole joy
nothing else matters
Seashell
as I take shape
i lie here in wait
the wind beating
upon my back
my image carved out
by gritty sands of
life
i feel my grooves;
their hardness
i get smoothed over
by the warm sun
but jagged edges
still remain
not as pristine as
when I began
i am swept up
by the gentle palm
of tide
the water-it
absolves me
rightly cleansed
i face sand and
wind again
picked up and thrown
down
never the right fit
battered by the
elements of time
as I take shape
lifted up from this
place of toil
at last
held to my saviours’
ear
i sing a song of
redemption
for my glorious god
to hear

If you ever feel so completely empty
Close those eyes and think of me
Keep them shut and think of a place
Picture us there together
Think of the ocean with the big blue waves, like walls holding everything together
Visualize us walking in the sand, running around admiring this land
Can you see that seashell?, hold it to your ear so you can hear a voice
Is it me you hear?, calling your name?, can you hear the whispers of the sea?
If you listen close enough, you might be able to her me
Grab a net, head to the waters so we may catch a mermaid
There's one now, can you see her swimming?
Catch her quick but release her shortly after
Now open your eyes, and look around the room
Like the mermaid you let go, admire what you got
Though the room is not as full as the ocean
Hold the shell close to your ear, so you can hear me once again
sweet seashell queen
just had surgery to remove a tumor off her brain stem
today she celebrates her 6th BirthDay
whatever she wants is the law of our world
i almost choke up thinking about how brave she was
hell, she gave me hope, encouragement, and inspiration
i tell her she can go in the water....but not too far
she replies by saying, 'i am on vacation when i am by your side'
she then puts the most beautiful seashells in my hand and rests her head in my lap
we listen to the waves for hours
she falls asleep....and i fall even more in love with this amazing little girl
when she wakes up, she asks if we could go and get the blue bubble gum ice cream
i remind her that it is her day and that she is the sweet seashell queen
she put the seashell crown i surprised her with just before we headed out back on
with a snaggletooth smile she says with her head slightly tilted to the right 'OH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!'
lazing by the shore
whispers flee from ebbing tides
winds howl in silence
I've been stealing secrets
from this little conch
I nabbed from the sea
and sometimes
she whispers songs to me
Last night her melody
was full of sorrow
and the verses
just yearned to go home
where creatures were familiar
until my grubby hands came along
Oh, they could not resist temptation
her spirit was so pretty
beneath all those pounds of water
so greed denied Shelly's freedom
and took that shiny gem away
now regret floods my pen
with so many I'm sorries
as I listen to another oceanic song
The day shines like gems
Glistening in the sunlight
I feel rich today
I find a seashell
I listen for the ocean
The sea comes to me
Found the mother load
The gold mine was in her eyes
I'm rich forever...
