Magic Seashell

If you ever feel so completely empty Close those eyes and think of me Keep them shut and think of a place Picture us there together Think of the ocean with the big blue waves, like walls holding everything together Visualize us walking in the sand, running around admiring this land Can you see that seashell?, hold it to your ear so you can hear a voice Is it me you hear?, calling your name?, can you hear the whispers of the sea? If you listen close enough, you might be able to her me Grab a net, head to the waters so we may catch a mermaid There's one now, can you see her swimming? Catch her quick but release her shortly after Now open your eyes, and look around the room Like the mermaid you let go, admire what you got Though the room is not as full as the ocean Hold the shell close to your ear, so you can hear me once again

What a lovely poem! Sea shells are one of my most favourite things. I collect them because they are created in nature and no art is capable of their beauty. Keeps me humble.

Near shell saw water rushing around; Lifted up so I could hear its sound; Water weaved; Shell retrieved; Then left it lying on sandy ground.
