Best Searchers Poems
For so many years I had been alone
Was it God’s plan that this lifestyle had shown?
I’d accepted, had no expectation
Of ever finding a special connection
My life is changing in so many ways
New town, new home and a question that begs
Was it patience God wanted me to learn?
Is happiness something we have to earn?
Introspective days brought revelation
And now I welcome a new sensation
Just seeing his face brings a smile to mine
He heals me with words so gentle and kind
We know not what the days ahead will bring
But just having faith can make a heart sing
So hang in there, dear friends, seeking soul mates
Do not despair, a bright future may wait
Just lead a good life, be thankful, feel joy
Allow God some time blessings to employ
One day sun’s rays o’er the hill will arise
A soul mate may appear in morning skies
Looking for lunch in all the wrong places,
Unloved, hungry eyes set in introverted faces,
There’s spirit there but only traces,
Hunting for signs of love from all races,
God uses people to dispense His Graces.
Where am I among these human cases?
One small step may be the basis,
Of many far reaching paces.
...Dare I.. ?
we have searched
and found
long days filled with longing
searched for small signs
in sandy wastes
under the cruel orb
seeking all but settling on the crudest need
asking in our poverty
what sustains life?
love
god
water
hope
having only water
we moved on
leaving our history on the holy stone
leaving our brothers ashes in the dry wind
what is true?
mountains father stones
god is in heaven for it is not here
all men want
all will suffer
of one mind we decided
god is not here
and we have far to go
leaving our light extinguished
in the earth
we descend
in that shadowy valley
the windbreath does not blow
thoughts do not ignite
spirits cannot soar
there we found Yama
who is no devil
but a wise man
filled with sorrow
but with hope
all he said was
do your duty
as i must
do not love
do not hate
do not want
come to me in time
i am the only road
through this wasteland
through this life
you will find me kind
God bless the searchers
wandering through this maze
that we call yesterday and today
the pollen of living on their bee faces
they flicker into our lives
then back to shadow for awhile
their sky mirages always brightening our eyes.
Along the bent path they pick up
bushels of pollen and thimbles of poison
legs growing ever heavy
from the mercuric risks they embrace.
They're the purist type of brave
walking into the pugilist of indifference
with bloody bee faces.
I'm envious of them
God bless the searchers.
Where do you search for answers
When it's truth you hope to find
How do you know what to believe
With these questions on your mind
How many roads must you travel
Who do you trust to guide you
How will you ever see clearly
With these fears and doubts inside you
You'll never find the answers
If you don't know where to start
Look at yourself in the mirror
The truth lies within your heart
