Time stands still
Sand through the hourglass
Has stopped flowing
Calmness surrounds us
A feeling of euphoria
A feeling of being complete
Fills the air in the night
Moonlight shines upon your face
Your eyes like the stars
In the vast open sky
Heat reaches out its fingers
Fighting off the coolness
The glow from the fire
Sound of crackling embers
Mixes with the noises
Of life existing in the moment
Reminding us of how real
That this moment is
As we are wrapped up
Holding each other so close
Because we don't want to lose
One second
One minute
One hour
While sand isn't flowing
While time has stood still
Just for us to be together
Frozen in time forever
As we sit on a rock
Overlooking the valley below
Wondering if just maybe
Others are doing the same
Living in the moment given
Fulfilling the longing of another
Feelings never felt before
Wanting the moment to last
No longer feeling alone
No longer feeling incomplete
After years of searching
After years of hope fading
Finding someone to fill
The cavern in your chest
The void that only grows
You can't explain it
Words will never suffice
What you thought you'd never find
Its here right now
In this moment
In the air
In the arms
In the moonlight
On the rock
Overlooking the valley
Stars hanging above
Just for us
To keep forever
So cosy when from the comfort of your bed
You slipped a picture into my head
And teased the longing of my heart.
Strange, for there is nothing now to see
That's lewd, or even naked like the moon
Covered with jasmines so I may swoon
She comes each litany of night
Through the trees and dripping wet
Ravishing the solace of my sight
She spread her legs on my window awhile
Her bright nothingness, soft and mild
Seducing the ache and hunger of my tongue
To whisper words and lick dry her songs
From the globe of her aromatic breast
To that place where the crimson apple rest
And when the curtains like a veil blows
Like a veil of clouds fall away in a heap
What joyous proportions her body shows
In a heap of light cuddled upon the floor
Daring my silence in stillness to explore
Soft contours only the soul can touch
Once in stillness on my bed she lay
Framed in the milky legends of the past
And O what constant spell upon my hell she casts
Time then was too short to know it all
Too short to spend my love's treasures store
The seasons change, the tides rise and fall
The beauty of the skin is so superficial
What it tells us is only external
While it blinds our eyes from the honey core
Beauty strips us, and make our passions whores
To the little brevity that time peels
Love is beyond what our humanity feels
I would know more of the moon tonight
And ease the longing of my heart
But here another picture eclipses her light.

_______
First Leaf: "Radiantly Dark"
I have wandered the moon-smitten byways of earth and not seen
a divinity as radiantly dark as your eyes, and knowing this I am
lost, not caring, for my mind is lost just as well…
* * *
… I won´t be found until the eclipse of divinity, and with an ache
marrow-deep of spirit confess that I don´t want to be…
* * *
… intoxication too often leaves one ravished: the bittersweet
aroma of longing ravaging me…
* * *
… dare to drain the wineglass of desire, then fling it and listen to
the piercing tinkle of breaking glass, an ominous sound, but
more pleasant than that of a breaking heart…
~~~~~~~
Whistle away your anger and leave your lungs empty for a new
gulp of air – born of yourself…
I don’t know what it is
About being in your arms
The way they contour
To the curves of my body
Wrapped so tightly around
Feeling your breath on my neck
Warm and wet
Yet sends chills through me
Your cheek resting on mine
Your voice whispering in my ear
Your hands running through my hair
Our bodies no longer two
But molded together as one
Fitting together likes puzzle pieces
Each radiating heat
Our legs intertwining
Can’t get any closer
And we’re lost in the moment
Worries begin to fade away
Because right then and there
Nothing can touch me
As long as I’m with you
Any tears I may cry
You will wipe them away
No matter what I come against
You will keep me safe
In this I find peace
Like I’ve never had before
And my breathing starts to slow
My heart beat calms down
I just melt in your arms
And I find my eyes closing
Letting myself drift away
And I can’t think of a place
I’d rather be right now
Than right there with you
Lost in this ever longing moment
A perfect proposal
a walk the beach,
two lover's engaged in forever's kiss.
This is the day she had been longing for
ever since they fell in love.
A simple question, written in the sand
by the hand that she would soon take in hers.
His eyes met her and searched for an answer,
an answer that he'd been longing to hear
since he told her "I love you".
As tears of happiness filled her eyes
and gently fell to the sand beneath her feet,
an anticipated answer of "YES"
was followed by a kiss. A kiss that would be forever etched
in the setting sun on this perfect proposal.
desire's common thread
inner longing to be close
naked, skin to skin.
