In Your Arms

I don’t know what it is
About being in your arms
The way they contour
To the curves of my body
Wrapped so tightly around
Feeling your breath on my neck
Warm and wet
Yet sends chills through me
Your cheek resting on mine
Your voice whispering in my ear
Your hands running through my hair
Our bodies no longer two
But molded together as one
Fitting together likes puzzle pieces
Each radiating heat
Our legs intertwining
Can’t get any closer
And we’re lost in the moment
Worries begin to fade away
Because right then and there
Nothing can touch me
As long as I’m with you
Any tears I may cry
You will wipe them away
No matter what I come against
You will keep me safe
In this I find peace
Like I’ve never had before
And my breathing starts to slow
My heart beat calms down
I just melt in your arms
And I find my eyes closing
Letting myself drift away
And I can’t think of a place
I’d rather be right now
Than right there with you
Lost in this ever longing moment
