Riley
A fireball
burning from within.
Destined to destroy
and you know it.
But don’t stand too close.
You’ll get lost in
her fiery eyes.

She’s an enchantress
but she doesn’t know it.
So captivating
you’re lost in the sea
of her
vocabulary.
The words on her tongue
are spell-binding.
Heart twisting,
mind spinning,
soul filling limericks
that have never done more
than reflect her...

A little Angel she was. She came to Earth one day
her stay here was short. instead of heaven - she

Being. (Composed By Riley Feilds To Me)
There you sit smiling,
and it's you I'm watching,
but you don't even know,
what it is you do to me.
So I keep on watching and wanting,
every time I look at you,
every time I talk to you,
every time I smell you,
my heart continues,
melting, and I am forever...

Issac Bartholomue Riley
Isaac Bartholomue Riley,
His friends just call him " Ike",
Jane, his wife, they call "Smiley",
He got five other writes on this site.

October 12th I met this fellow,
A pleasant find in two thousand nine,
in a hospital in Monticello,
on the mend and trying to unwind.

He called himself "stalker...

Riley
“RILEY”

it’s been 730 days
since we’ve first talked.
even today, you’re still as
incandescent as when I first
talked to you.

they’ve attempted
to destroy you,
crumble you up
and swirl you around
in Death’s cup.

the moonless nights
hold your resilience as
your shadow dances
with pride, proud...

Premium Member James Whitcomb Riley Amuses Me
I suppose it is surprising
And I shouldn't let you know it,
I've a hankering for the poetry
Of that old time Hoosier poet.
Perhaps you think his poems with
Their easy, rustic flavor
Are not poetic offerings
Sophisticates would savor.
"Little Orphant Annie"
Is a favorite of mine
Which I have read so often...

Riley
I've turned into a self-loathing,
promiscuous attention-seeker,
and you've turned into a drunk,
arrogant, emotionless misogynist.

Look how far we've come,
thriving without the love of one another.
Look at how we flourish
like the decaying flora of a prize-winning garden.

We were better together....

The Life of Riley
'He was a funny old bugger', they all agreed as Riley was laid in his grave,
'I believe he had a wife somewhere', said someone else in the nave.
'Two sons and a daughter', another said, 'I believe they're living abroad,
'A solitary soul, a private man, a...

Another little bundle of joy
Born today, a baby boy
Riley Beau is so pure and sweet,
His innocence made our hearts beat
Thankful for his safe arrival
And our Granddaughter's survival
All our faces looked content and smiley
As we had all witnessed, the beginning of
THE LIFE OF REILLY...

Riley Told Me
Riley told me she was tired
I asked why I was the one she admired
Riley told me I was the one who was here
the one who would always be near
Riley told me that her days were almost gone
I asked her why she wants me to go...

Riley Park
A dozen willows in the park
A shady grove on the lawn
Eleven tall trees in the sun
And one dark stump in the shade.

They invite me to join them here:
Yes, I'd like to sit here,
The fresh breeze and cool shade,
With the damp earth, and the rough bark.

In...

Mary
I wonder if Mary even wanted to give

birth to Jesus

if asked would she have said yes to become undressed of skin

clothes in Chapel

 a flesh sacrifice

she birthed God's child but God gets all

the credit...
