Deserved Rewards - Inspired By the Life and Poetry of Sylvia Plath

In ode to all who succumb
through wayward passages
lined of scribble notes
dripping ink’s savagery,
staining cursive patterns
in Sylvia-like depressions

Jarred bells ring
down lost tunnels
around each dark corner…clang
from steeples we chase
and beds we lie
draped in sadness
and shapes of
poetic happenstance

Tear drop vinaigrette
spiced of leftover lifetimes
drizzled on leafy desperation
bids a tired farewell
before time collects
the deserved rewards

Reap the Rewards of Gods True Love

Baby, Cant we just stop and begin again
Satan has got us in a headspin
I refuse to just let him win
We are on that bumpy road of sin
Please baby, let's stop and begin
With Gods love growing Within

For our spirit runs so deep
While we reap the reward from Gods true love
Just makes me want to try
Looking for all the answers why
Believing he provides us with the good book
So we never have to get shook
We should not fear this hellish atmosphere
We both know God is everywhere

Satan just wants us in dispare
So let's be aware
How we can walk right through his snare
With how much we love and care
All of this stress causing us to be so reckless
I would rather think about you in your wedding dress

Why can't we see
God only wants the best for you and me
Even if we have to stop and begin again
Letting Gods love dwell within
Learning to live without sin
Then our love and trust will weather
Any evil stunt satan tethers

Our love is here to stay
In every possible way
Chained to my heart
God playing such a significant part
In the biggest display
To ever come our way
Knowing we have what it takes
making it possible for love to sway
I pray God blesses it every day
Keeping Satan out of play

I know your deepest fear, what you dread the most,
Still, your own desire you're preserving as a ghost.
You're guided by your arrogance; on your ego you rely.
Haven't you ever heard, the ego's known to lie?

You play your silly mind games; you think you are so smart,
But all this will ever get you is a sad and lonely heart.
You paint yourself untrustworthy with the antics that you pull.
No one can take you seriously when you're just a load of bull.

You think you are invincible and well above reproach,
But one as flawless as you, no one will dare approach!
You pride yourself with cleverness, while appearing stupid.
With so many attractive traits, there is no need for Cupid!

With all your flawlessness, you need not ever apologise.
One as perfect as you are, you're the apple of many eyes!
But how has this worked for you on that pedestal you sit?
Apparently not too well but you will never to, admit.

The years are flying by and the time is drawing near.
Sooner than you think, you'll have to face the fear
That you dread so much without another chance
To change your course of action and so, your circumstance.

Soon you shall be old and you will be all alone
With not one soul to Love you, except perhaps a crone
To make your life as miserable as you have to others, done;
To reap your Just Rewards, trapped in the web you have spun.

Rewards never come
Without a price tag attached,
And often quite steep

Rewards of Love

I seek not a robe of glittering pearls and rubies shinning bright
Give me a modest dress only not shorter than my height

A handcuff, a collar or may be, a shackle heavy and tough
The adornment for me should compliment the stature of my love

My foe wishes to improve his stature or he wants me dead?
Does he seek my turban of glory or he seeks my head?

A pickaxe in my hand I have and fervour of love in heart
Do not fail me, O tough rock! Stream of milk* start

The treasure of ideals and vision aren’t on trees to pluck
For wealth of sensitivity, anguish and pain, one would need my luck

Seeing human sufferings, Yamin, causes torments and pains
Put me in the cosy arms of sleep, where peace and serenity reigns

----
* Reference to legendary Asian lovers Shireen & Farhad. Farhad dug a rock to start the
stream of milk for the sake of his love.

Premium Member Rewards of a Civil Approach

While some are always compelled to incite
Others reap rewards by being polite

Civility is challenging when views contrast
But much is gained when anger's surpassed

The social conventions of propriety
Reduce stress in a multicultural society

Acceptance of others' points of view
Even without concurrence carry you through

Exploring through debate, avoiding anger
A productive path for civil anglers

Failure to allow for differences
Wins no friends, no spiritual references

You may think you're "right," but get real
How does antagonism make you feel?

Far better to realize we've something to learn
By reaching across the aisle, respect we earn

Civility and Congress seem incongruous
Perhaps that's why we're in such a mess

So open your hearts to others' opinions
Learn from the actions of a wise Virginian

By reaching compromise in his Declaration
Jefferson gave birth to the world's freest nation

God is a rewarder...
How oft do people think of God as a miserly old bah humbug.y bible says God is...And is a rewarded of those who diligently seek Him...

How does He reward those.

With things incorruptible? Any , but those opposite , those incorruptible.

Reward with money is a PC teaching Popular Christianity....

Service Rewards

Silent servants of the night unseen
Employed in task of uplifting men
Rendering to none evil for evil, send
Victory where brokenness had been.
Indefatigable humility, inexhaustible kindness
Christ-centered love glowing with light
Each so blessed alone knows true delight.

Rich are the sunsets that overcomes blindness
Earth's heroes unsung recorded there
Willing hearts and willing hands will give from nothing
Awaiting nothing, except the award of the king
Rewarded for labor as for each quiet tear
Drained from the soul awaken by another's woe
Servants now served where God's glory glow.

                             2
Teach me, Lord, my lips to speak in soft, sweet tones
That will not bruise a fellow traveler's wound
Give me ears to listen and to hear those who groans
Hands to lift a brother who adversity ruined
Eyes to find them where in winter's wrath they are strewn
Heart to hug them, love to save them, and I
All of me in willingness to fight and for your cause to die
That in my life your cross shall be lifted shown.
O kind Master, and when I am tired and weary let me find
Rest in you, and to unthankfulness make me blind.

Academy Rewards

Something doesn't sound just right
a panel votes you win
What would they gain by cheating?
box office loss a Sin

Yell like you were on a set
A tantrum? That might help
Tell the world they slighted you
but you've really gotta yelp

You watched that movie you were in
you thought you were so great
The voters didn't notice you?
It has to be their hate

How could they do that, just to you?
It really isn't right
You say that you were singled out?
And you think it's cause you're white?

Come on now, just suck it up
go take an acting class
Pretending they were biased too
you're acting like an ass

Just thinking, it will happen soon
they're making changes quick
three to ten, percentage wise
the vote will be so slick

Will they, all dust off their Oscars?
Will they, all just smile with glee?
Will they, all look in the mirror?
Will they, all say "wasn't me"?

The Rewards of Being An Atheist

It will certainly raise the eyebrows of believers
May attract righteous indignation of the devout
An unsympathetic reaction from the indifferent
But only a few blessed admire its vast benefit.

Free from the bindings of daily rituals any longer
Enough time to chase cherished pursuits at leisure
Take delight in reading relaxingly the daily paper
And eat breakfast in peace relishing its flavor.

No more chanting and telling the beads of rosary
Free from botheration of visiting divine sanctuary
With no burden of reading the holy texts regularly
One can spend enough time on interests leisurely.

Trappings by rituals and the likes surely do taper
Those come in the way of our engagements dear
Not remaining tied to a stance is a great pleasure
Help breathe a whiff of air with untroubled care.

The unrelenting knots of superstition do not bind
And the movements of planets do fail to pound
The effervescence of self with reasons unsound
This is the reward of being an atheist; unbound.

Rewards of My Days

I trample your attempts to banish me,
smashing my fist with a blow
of such crushing force
that your gusty breath stills
under this serpent's weight,
as your poison races to rend my chest
and fervent eyes split the night
searching for faceless fears;
but evil cannot overcome
my need to push my quest
although my life is now a trial,
I cling steadfastly to one assurance
that heaven will grant me days' rewards
for this is my Shepherd wish,
in His time, in His time.
