The words drip from your lips
Like water from a faucet
The lies and fables
Is screeching to unfold
The truth will set you free
If not in bondage you will be
So lift the veil on every secret and every lie
Your wings flap free
You will soar so high…

I will not play this for the rest of my days
Their is nothing to gain
All done in vain
You got what you came for
I know who you are
The victory is yours
We will live with our scar
We will pass through this darkness into the light
and leave you behind...Hopefully......You will do what is right......

His Beauty Revealed On Christmas Day

As the snow falls around me, I marvel at God’s wholesome and worthy entity.
The Lord, on his special day, has given me a gift so precious and special;
He has opened my eyes to his wondrous glory.
The Lord above all has allowed me to see the beauty in the smallest of things:
The stars and moon at night, and the clouds and sun by day;
The little trickles of freezing cold, yet clean, fresh, clear water
Running down the mountainsides, quenching my insatiable thirst;

The trees in all their grandeur,
That provide my warmth when I gather their branches;
The leaves and pine needles at my feet,
Providing soft beds for me and all the forest creatures.
Best of all of these, however, is the snow.
The beautiful snow in which no two snowflakes are the same.
The same biting cold, yet strangely comforting and fulfilling snow,
In which brings forth light on the darkest of days.

I must thank the all-loving God, who has bestowed upon me this glorious gift.
Me, a pathetic excuse for a soldier who has run away
From the sight of bloodshed because I cannot stand to fight another friend.
Me, a coward who is now running from the law,
And living solely in the forest for fear of being caught and hanged.
Me, a God-believing man who has sinned greatly.

But I have repented. I have asked God for forgiveness of my sins on Christmas Eve night,
And He has replied by giving me snow on Christmas morning,
showing me that I am not alone, and that I should not be afraid.
And, by His grace, when all I have been seeing was darkness and despair,
He opened me up to allow me to see the beauty and light in all his creation.

“I praise You, oh glorious God, for giving me this most wonderful gift!
I thank You for forgiving me, a sinner, of all my wrongdoings,
and for giving me this awe-inspiring gift, for which I have done nothing to deserve!
I exalt you on high, oh Lord, for all that you have done and given me,
and will do for me and give me! I will love and praise you always!
Amen.”

Premium Member Birthday Memory - the Secret Revealed

It was her birthday back in 'ninety-nine...
our married daughter, thirty-eight years old.
Her husband planned a party at their home.
Above the table, floated blue balloons.

Out came the lovely birthday cake dessert.
Her husband held it up for us to see,
while daughter glanced around so mystified.
As we approved her pretty cake, she cried,

"Please, someone read the words on that darn cake!"
Presumed, was 'Happy Birthday' written there.
Oh! 'Lynn's Having A Baby' instead, it said!
That joyous memory with us will stay.

So long they'd waited for a child to come;
our precious, now sixteen years old, grandson.

Premium Member Weeks Revealed As Troglodytes

I woke up this morning
Tired as a wolf-hound
After the chase.
The day is as stark
As an unfinished concerto.

Mondays are like that,
They are the beginning--
An unwrapped gift.
The weekend is an abandoned beach
And dirty snow pushed aside.

A new and well-oiled axle is turning.
My wheels are turning.
It is a time for molding,
For casting lots across a Persian rug.
We gather up the days as we go along

And nurture them like fools.
Every week the tide washes away the old debris
And pushes new refuse upon the sand.
Picking litter is the lot of those
Inclined to service,

Always scrubbing tidy rooms.
Troglodytes wait to be remembered
Under the pick of a rock hound.
The seeker finds fossils from the past,
And the hours pass unnoticed.

Deep Inside My Head Revealed

Deep inside my head enclosed in the deepest center core of my brain
is a file so full and over feed for years has caused splitting migraines

Afraid to reveal things of the past and future of my inter self
I've kept it confined to just let it sit on the shelf

When a soft hush whisper in the lowest of a voice I said
"Your reserve is full you must write and rejoice".

But where to put it to store it I thought it's piled up in years a large heap
some in bundles some on a rack and old ones hiding way in the back

On Poetry Soup of course so younger poets can read and read
and absorbed while giving me very kind scores

The younger they are the more they can restore
accumulating a collection of my cherished writes I so adore

So when I'm gone and my file drawer has closed you will always remember
Of a poet who gathered and shared her personal songs of life's reflector.

Revealed To Uncover

Seeing my reflections covered
Never to be discovered

As I lay down this thick paint
Wanting not to faint

Absorbing all the color of Christmas Eve
Hoping I don’t mess up and deceive

If I do even one thing wrong
My life wont be a happy song

Everything has to be perfect or it’s my fault
Just as perfect when you have to pole vault

Mess up one thing its not good
Looking me up and down as they stood

To my surprise they liked the messiness
Because my windows were like Christmas

With snowmen of plenty and Santa Clause
And lots of reindeer with big brown paws

People walk by to look and to gander
This I know is the best December

The Revealed Myth

Lost in the desert at night, a maze of stairs reveals the myth.
Neon sign, beside a paan-red smile, pairs-- revealing the myth.

Clotho has ringlets, Lachesis slanted eyes, Aisa laugh lines,
Weaving tapestry of rapturous affairs, reveal the myth.

Who plays the distant sarangi? Who pours the quenching nectar?
Falling into stride behind Inanna's heirs reveals the myth.

Those intimate moments trace the tangible warmth on her skin.
In proud destitution, a desire she wears: reveals the myth.

Sand trickles through his anxious fingers, the mirage disappears.
At dawn fugitive memories Tashir bears. The revealed myth.

Under thee lids there sleeps the truth
now I see a climate change occur
Where twisted merchants betray God

Selling false faces denies the sixth promoting killing
along with a few other numbers written on stone
corrupt unholy the governments of countries have become

Stealing has become normal justice lies spill
from snakes without a backbone the whole system has become infested
so many rats eating from our treasuries hounds taking their pounds of flesh

From elderly to the poor they are each branded to turn eyes
around facts where chains have been applied as we all become beggars
and all we ever hear about is misery and war

Our Revealed Love

She sat down on the saffron land
threw me her scarf of roses as I land
Hand in hand we were, and more
I missed you, she said even the land

Feelings were shining like ten thousand moons
Hot aromatic love breezed through our tunes
Heaven rained love's dew
The more we get wet the more our love blooms

Flowers enshroud our revealed love
A sprig of olive were brought by a dove
Evil eyes were shoved away
Angels guarded us from above

All stars were sparkling and melted
And the dream was ended

I walked into my darkened room
Looking for a pen
I couldn't see one
So I put the light on
And presto I found my pen
Light is wonderful

What Our Memories Have Revealed

Life is like a magnet. We are
drawn to the worlds promises.
But the attraction to the dark side
reveals inner insecurities.
Wicked corruption lures
innocent souls into vicious
immorality. When will we all
connect without deprivation?
There is little truth to temptation
in regards to our actions.
Prior beliefs interact with
the chemistry of scientific
realities. We are born pure
but grow old with remorse
with all our distant descendants.
We find relief in the seduction
of charisma, while our souls
long for redemption.

Fear triggers hunger.
Hunger triggers regret.
Regret triggers despondency.
Despondency triggers our woe.

We are mesmerized by the
charms of the red fire from
down below. Thunder resides
deep in our inferno.
We are sliced with the swords
our memories have revealed.

The Concealed, Revealed

From behind the veil, my tears, I dare to peer out
while forever longing, wishing to remove all doubt
waiting for a time, when the hidden will be revealed
when truth will prevail, no longer to remain concealed

This self-banishment is my unbroken silence, a journey I take
in order to traverse my world within, all else I must forsake
finally hoping to arrive, by following a destination foreseen
this remains my sole means of escape, fleeing to my dream

The hardships we all endure, why to remain mentally impeded
life's momentary setbacks, keep us from becoming conceded
this life is a prison, like in those dreams, we hide but cannot flee
ultimately time will dictate, how many years remain for us "to be"

To be" or "not to be" is then no longer a question, but is the answer
while for those who choose unwisely, "to be" becomes their cancer
how can they turn those unmovable hands, how to retrieve the past
to be given one more chance, and maybe to find eternal peace at last

Lies multiply advancing with time, caught in the confusion of the storm
nevertheless, you refuse to budge, you would rather die than conform
knowing what life is really about, you remove the darkness from the light
giving selflessly to others what they need most, and you become their sight

We can't always recognize the good in all things, but we will soon understand
when the concealed is revealed, only then will we recognize the guiding hand
along with the setting of the sun, are those dreams for us to ultimately behold
tears no longer to be shed, because now you're forever part of a heavenly fold
