Premium Member For the Joy of Flowers

Spring sweetly breathes life
to tender buds on trees,
and from earth’s fertile womb,
seedlings’ small heads emerge
peeking out from the soil.
Climbing upward
toward the sun that sustains them,
and nourished too by rain,
they finally reveal
their lovely blossomed faces
to the world.

Winter’s melancholy has fled
and has been replaced by
the cheerful appearance of
blooms that dance with the breeze
and flutter on bushes and ornamental trees.
I dance too for the joy of flowers
whose fragrance welcomes
darling hummingbirds and butterflies
into my garden.

Oh, joy for the beauty of whimsical snapdragons,
multi-colored tulips, romantic gardenias,
pretty peonies in pink, white and red,
the purple irises, scented primrose
and long yellow branches of forsythia.
Oh, for the enchanting joy of
perfumed sprigs of lilac
and my roses each day greeting me
with their every hue.
My muse reawakens as
my heart and soul swell
with gladness
in the spring.

“Of all flowers, methinks a rose is best.” – William Shakespeare, The Two Noble Kinsmen

Sweet Rose, for ages you have blessed the human race
with your beauty, elegance and grace.
You show yourself to us in so many ways . . .
as miniature, teacup, floribunda, rambler,,climber, and
as so many other species of loveliness - a true wonder of God's creations!
Whether on the ground, in the wild, in gardens, or on bushes,
you bring me such pleasure to see your many shapes and sizes.

Unlike pansies and other annual flowers,
which glimmer for a time, then die – never to regrow,
you come and you go, sweet Rose, continuously
from spring, through summer, and until the chill of fall.
Oh, sweet Rose, with your names so charming,
I love you all.

With female names like “Princess Diana,” “Lolita” or “Bathsheba,”
you intrigue me.
With names that reflect the splendor of your many hues
such as “Toffee,” the pale yellow “Sahara,” the bold “Gold Medal,”
“Beyond Blue,” and “Black Magic,”
you enchant me.
With cute precious names like “Adorable,” “or “Angel Face,”
you delight me!

My muse reawakens each spring as your glorious scent
perfumes the air, and you offer yourself to the worshiping bees.
In those rare moments when I see a hummingbird
partaking of your nectar, I nearly gasp with excitement.
Oh, sweet Rose,
whether posing steadfastly in the summer sun,
dancing with breezes, or dreaming beneath the moon,
there is no flower so popular as you.
And no other flower bears so many different meanings
as those found in the paleness or in the vibrancy of your many colors.

Innocence is your white; your friendship, yellow; your modesty, peach;
In burgundy and dark pink, you show forth admiration;
in coral, good fortune; and in light pink, the cheerfulness of youth.
In the tint of amaranth is your passion; in rare green, your freshness;
in purple, your whimsy; however, your ruby red
transcends them all with the purity of love.
The deeper your hue, the deeper is your meaning.
You are the symbol for so many things of which the poet dreams!

Oh, sweet Rose, I adore you. How you inspire me
with each bloom of your dewy petals that I chance to view.
Never do you cease to amaze me, sweet Rose.
May you blossom ever sweetly into eternity!

HARVEST TIME

Golden yellows, mixed by rum reds,
Plum lavenders spice, these are the
Colors of autumn.
Textures layers blown across the lawn,
Leave it lay, rake it not, this variations
Of decorations variety.
Rarities design by mistake, and
Happenstance, but with such beauty's
Detail, one must stop and wonder,
At it's awesome natural splendor.
Even the evergreens fall silent, to
A hushed whisper, to marvel at
The canvas, spread out before them.
Rustling not a quivers motion,
As a crisp, chilling, October wind
Brushes against their thorny pine
Needles.
Nature does rest at a paused stillness,
Soon she'll slumber, beneath the winters
Blanket of ice and snow.
Nay, not to the last leaf falls, in a twilight
Sleep, than to dream, once more of spring
Eternal.
Now it is harvest time, men pick the
Final ripened fruit from their orchards,
Glen the fields of hay and straw to the
Last roots foundation.
Family members gather, from far and
Near, to give thanks for a bountiful
Harvest.
A season of thanksgiving, good will
And cheer, with warm apple cider, and
Pumpkin pie.
In mystery's dexterity, the maiden
Does sigh softy, with a peaceful
Good night, to the world of men.
Than ever so slowly closes her
Eyes gently, til the warmth of
Spring time reawakens, mother
Nature once again.

First Shaman Encounter

Coming ashore at the island of Trunyan
      to its teeth of bone
eyes to four directions tongue bloodthirsty

- what do you want this late at night? surely
to seek help from the moon
black chicken
sticky-rice flower
      baskets : baskets

a frozen kris at the tip of my shoulders
suck the remaining portals of shame
at the split of banana leaves I look at her
purple sweat. her white kebaya sodden
pura gede pancering jagat temple as foreground
      my name once again
my name once again

- that pot of authentic China rolls like a cart
speeding out of my body
like the shameless envious souls of jealous skeletons:
“look ma, my soul reawakens, I am no longer dead”

two baskets
black chicken
one o’clock that night the island of Trunyan
      rolled its tongue in laughter
its tickled eyes stripping all bare
its hoarse voice splitting the eerie road
I want to go home soon – my boat is moored by the lakeside!

Notes :
Kris – a dagger with jagged edges.
Kebaya – traditional shirt that ladies wear in Indonesia, typically made of see-through cloth or brocade.

Nature's Phenomenon

NATURE'S PHENOMENON

Beauty that is the life phenomenon with the scenic view
But those who can feel it and mesmerise its bliss were very few
A quiet place , with breathtaking waterfalls covered in all mist
Emerging the unmeasurable ocean with its cool breeze
Winds swirling in the blue and limitless sky
It's like a presence of holy heaven somewhere nearby
It's reverence on the earth is so much rare
But the human will never knew and feel it as a spare
From dawn to dusk ,From sunrise to sunset
Biotic and abiotic components compiles like a illusion
Makes the mother nature and changes it's presence with seasons
It helps nurture ones soul, body and reawakens the lost spirit
Owning this earth is incoherent
But we can have its benefits and keep it safe as it was inherit!!!!!

A Slowing River Still Runs Deep

All I did was blink
and suddenly frail and forgetful
had stolen the vibrancy
I’d taken for granted.

Your look still bears that familiar smile
which sparks an ebbing life
and brightens dimming eyes.
But when you think
no one’s watching,

I am…

as this consumptive malaise
pervades your sagging face
and spirits you off for poppy naps,
the flickering star-light fades,
I watch your mouth turn down
In that soft dreamtime curve
and my heart cries the river
that floats you on eddies
of timeless sleep

I know a day will come
our connection will be broken
your star gaze will not return
and I’ll cry a new empty ocean.

But until then,
in sleep’s folded caress
a slow river runs calm,
its watery fingers polish
the unforgettable shine
on the touchstone
of my love,

hoping its undying spark
reawakens you.

Echoes On the Mist

Listen intently to echoes
   wafting off the mist of
   exalted mountains whispering,
as designed poetry 'neath ether
   rapturously incites secrets
      of versed journeys' resolve
 while quintessence reawakens
  'tween passages of stardust
     and eclipsed lunar moons,
knowledge of a lofty universe
   lavishing abundant resources,
      whorling sumptuous seascapes

Spring Reborn

The vigilant Knight of Winter stretched out his frost-lined hand

Gauging temperature changes over the desolate land

His trailing snowy mantle skirts the overhanging bower

Welcoming dawn's re-emergence this sun rising hour

Solitary Knight no wish to remain

Sentinel to nature, grave cast in all but name

Then emerging cautiously from a shrub's fern-like spears

The maidenly form of Spring appears

Dew caught sunbeams cascading down

her plait of corn stalked wheat turning brown

In a dress of peat with grass stained folds

And network tracery of germinating moulds

Purple star aubretias crown her hair

She glances to see her Knight's enraptured stare

Lachrymose Spring sinks softly sobbing

Lamenting her Winter Knight so true

Could our separation be forever

Alas, no time left to renew

The eternal link between us both

She sighs, "Maybe when autumn leaves comes forth?"

Winter chides," Don't forget, May the Summer Miss"

Surrendering the embracing Seasons kiss

Responsive blackbird on the branch above

With bobbing head and throat a throbbing

Sings an unbridled song of love

Winter reassures, but no longer calms

Her piteous pleas for continuance

A proposal to his Spring formed wife

"From my demise I give you life

There is work to be done on the earthly plane

Then we shall reunite to begin again"

"Why wait" Spring pleads, trying to turn it around

"No time", he murmurs, "look about you,

it is here on the ground, "your awakening".

Adoringly her encircles her so

Against the raw world of sleet and snow

In dreamlike slumbers they disappear

Only Spring reawakens to her seasonal year.

Without a Paddle

What time is it
I can't be too late
but I'm not too sure I can go through with it
My hands are shaking
and I'm a walking sweat machine
I'm so nervous
I can't hide it
it's written on my face
yet I can't wait till the right moment
when the right moment is now
yet I can't wait till faith in myself reawakens
I can only hope faith starts flooding in
when I start walking across the hall
I have said courage is all I have to my name
but courage is unknown waters to me
and I am in a boat without a paddle to help guide me
To say, to say I can get through this un-afraid
well I'd be lying
but I have to try, I have to try
even if I have to use my arm as an oar
I say I'm a bore
but I can't lose this moment
can't lose this chance
don't tell me the time
I don't need to keep it in mind
that I only have this once chance...

Phoenix

--
Unfamiliar
Earth beneath my feet
Tranquility is vast
In my hand it escapes less readily than water
Thoughts seem empty
Sublime in flavor it hunts me down
No teeth or mark to bear
These holdings seem comforting
Without them I meet it
Talented beyond measure
My worthy adversary
Fierce beard and killer smile
Rebuild this citadel
My flesh between your teeth
Disposition numbness to your conscious
Remember that moment
Elegant destruction
Unbecoming solitude
Far from lucid
This feeling creeps
I know you well old friend
Amber alpenglow
Seemingly the earth shakes
My earth is shaking
My temple screams
Forgive me
Weary mind
I straighten these vertebrae
Posture
Every nerve reawakens as if from a coma
Snow revitalize my senses
Resolute
Sirens haunt me at night
Enchanting melodies lick my warm skin
Nightmares
The call of one draws me
It dissolves thy pensive
My tortured sacrarium
Bring me peace
7.62mm
Promise me
Divide the divine
Bringer of judgment
More Amber
I cannot stop
My eyes numb
At last my iris' constrict
Surge of conviction
I will do one last thing with my power
Infinite in fury
One last time brimstone caresses this screen
I give it to you
Harbinger of sunflowers

Premium Member Wings Whispering Blissfulness

Flying dove-like in the midst of a sea of blueness
Bringing a warm sensory of quiet and peacefulness
A delicate quill floats and moves with the mild breeze
Each butterfly represents a profound gift of gentle ease.

Whispering Wings, indigenous force's benefactress
Tugging the chords despite purveying mercifulness
Meandering in the pristine wilderness same as wildebeest
It suspires into our buoyant spirits, looks, and sparest.

Gravitational radiation, mindfulness adjustments
Scarcely an effectiveness shrinkage upright abutments
Will achieve divine reality in everlasting eternity
Heart at God glimpses from the chasm of leniency.

Balmy justness heaves, and the spirit reawakens
The scarcity of crispness was withdrawn slice at once
Ecstasy has glowed, and the epitome run sway
Emptiness is hidden when the shapes shrink away.

Mankind's Last Hope

Life like Autumn's leaves
returns to Earth's coldest soil;
Nature reawakens
each spring, but life never does:
Mankind's last hope lays in grave.

Premium Member The Mirror of Life

Reflected in the heart
Are joys, hopes and thoughts
Vibrant lights so beautiful
They fill up the soul’s core
With trembling dreams
Liquid love pouring, emptying
Life of its doubt, its dread
Darkness that never
Expects to be slaughtered
By wonders so brilliant
They light up the world

Echoed in the silence
Are smiles and laughter
Striking kindness
Making the mind recall
All the pleasure personified
In memories of affection
Brought to life in one
Who believes and sees
Expressions of grace
Raining down from God
Coloring the moments
In precious pearls
Of wisdom and warmth
Assuring us all
That faith will overcome

Replicated in the light
Soft clouds of insight
Breathtaking moments, praise
Shining, weightless
Capturing the heart’s desire
In a flame, a blazing fire
Miracles of love
Grow to combine the thrill
With the unending smiles
Exposed by the Son
The One who knows this life
Despite being full of strife
Trains our souls, our minds
To listen to His voice
Knowing we have a choice
But promising hearts
That He will indeed save

Mirrored by sweet love
Sent down from God above
A still, small voice
Securing us and our purpose
With faith that pours
His blood over our soul
Covering with His redemptive
Plan, glory falling all around
Abiding in the love
That glows with grace
Calms the craziness
Reawakens the heart to praise
With knowing, the word
To relieve our aches
Destroy our doubts, our dread
With evidences of grace
His never ending deliverance
As He saves us from the past
The pain, remorse and regret
The shame that longs to reject
The darkness and torment
He saves… completely,
To the uttermost
With salvation that opens the gates
Into heaven and eternity!

Monster

often times i try to fly
try to fly up to the sky
then the monster yanks me down
like a bird with breaking wings
ripped, torn
bleeding everywhere
until your forbidden bandaid reawakens
opening your eyes
to new sights
opening your mind to new thoughts
new experiences
at first you start to like it
until it opens you too far
until you start to break
until your begging it to stop
screaming, pleading
terrified of whats to come
when you have finally have had your fun
and have had enough
the monster doesnt want to stop
and the monster is in control
it is eating you alive
consuming you
shredding you
ntil you are noithing but a thought
an idea
and when there is nothing left of you
the monster moves on to its next victim,
while you are withering
dying,
dead.

Slave

Change my mind, my heart, my soul

I wonder if I am broken

Challenge my thoughts, my spirit, my pride

I still have not yet spoken

Take my hand and pull me near

But be aware that I might fear

The closeness that comes with touching.

Tell me your secrets, tell me your lies

your deepest thoughts are nothing in size

to what I feel

to what I dream

to why and what

and when I leave

this world behind and move along

I may be mistaken,

But I'm not wrong

These words are my attempt to change

a person who was once a slave

to who she did not know

A story told, a story lost

a compromise of pen and thoughts

I cannot even begin to show

of who is what and what I know

Trying gets me closer, true

But emotions still get caught

deep inside they smelter

my dying ember of a heart.

Now hope is gone

but yet it's found

It reawakens with the sound

of life beating my mind awake....
