CHASING FOOTPRINTS

Some feet are bigger than others
none bigger than those
left by your brothers -
that you tried to fill.

The foot that Dad
would put “right up ‘ur ****”
and the one Mom said
you must put forward.

The meter and feet
we poetically treat
in attempt to conform
to rhythm and beat.

One foot we must
“take out of our mouth”,
while trying to get
“one foot in the door”.

Footprints that litter
the sands of our mind
that cannot be followed
by looking behind.

The foot of the stairs
the foot of the bed
the footsteps of night
the footsteps of dread.

Huge footprints of carbon
Al Gore and his ilk
charging the cows
for the grass to make milk.

One foot on the gas
One foot on the brake
one looking to give
one looking to take.

So don’t judge the size
or the depth of the root
nor measure the soul
by the size of the boot.

What Is a Moment

What is a moment?
It’s a flash before your eyes.
A moment comes and goes
before you realize;
A moment is what drives you
with every breath you take
and can be your crowning glory
or can be your worst mistake.

A moment is that instant
when you turn left or right,
and if you make the wrong turn
you may never see the light...
or a moment is that flash
which tells you to stop or start,
where you make a special friendship
or you have one torn apart.

And so a moment is important
for every step that you put forward,
there’s a million moments every day
to offer shame or a reward,
and you should treasure every moment
that goes dashing through your mind,
for a moment’s not immortal,
it is swift but well defined.

So what is a moment?
It’s your birth, your death, your soul,
the very thing that drives you,
which sometimes you can’t control;
but moments are so precious,
they are seeds that you have sown...
from your birth until your death,
each moment is your very own.

Jobs-

Dipping into the sea of chores;
Choice if ask, I will relay,
‘Can’t conceive me, taking on turns:
Tussle, fumble; stumble.’

Walking, talking, working the world’s
Routing as far as West;
Bagging routines through days and nights
Should lessons learnt, I rise…

…Beyond the Spartan's head frame mass
And awkward temperate;
To leave nations to last my tomb:
Legacies of my birth.

Jobs I never put forward for,
I don’t look forward to.
My safety is life's struggles
I diva, not differ.

My Prayer

In your name,
please negotiate my faults.
I have been a sinner but a livid forgiver.
In my actions I have done many wrong over right.
I am trying to surrender my plans I have put forward.
Please my dear God, forgive me for all I have done to you
I have scolded and I have hurt, I have been lost and I have tortured
Please my dear God, forgive me.Bless me with your gift of knowledge.
I cannot go through my journey alone with my discretion.
I am lost and I have turned to you my saving lord
Please my dear God, forgive me.
See that I can change myself
See that I can love
In Jesus Christ
our name
Amen.

We Fall To Rise Again

I walked along the sea shore
Unsatisfied, craving for more,
Over my face, the tears rolled,
Burdened with fears, cried my soul.

Pondering over unfulfilled greed,
Regretting for every unsown seed,
I could never stand for myself,
Always too afraid, i confess!

In my life could never win,
As i believed in giving in
Could never put forward my set of proposals
Being too afraid of refusal
Never touched the height of perfection
Being too afraid of “Failure’s” intervention..

Suddenly..
Interrupting my monologue, roared the silent sea
In which i could see,
My FEARS craving for apologies.
Waves seemed too roll down now and then,
May be just to rise again!

Deep thoughts made me realize,
Giving one try worth the price.

As we do not know the depth of risks
Until we dive and drown,
We do not know the height above,
Until we fall on the ground!

We cannot gain until we lose,
To know the value of acceptance,
One has to be refused!

We cannot know the joy of winning,
until we keep it at stake,
We cannot ever reach perfection,
Until we learn from the mistakes we make.

So what if we fall today,
Its just to rise another day!

Even a small ant falls a million times,
Until the wall could be climbed.
A small baby continues to fall,
Until one day he can finally crawl.
With the pain of falling, every bird cries,
Until one day, it learns to fly.

Just like all of them,
WE FALL NOW AND THEN
But
WE FALL TO RISE AGAIN!!!

If I

If I were a different person,
I’d give up a lot of my cursin’.
My prospects would brighten, not worsen;
If I were a different soul.

If I had a penchant for money,
I’d subsist on quenelles cooked with honey.
My oceanfront view would be sunny;
If I had a different goal.

If I had a talent for fashion,
I’d have closets to stash all my cache in.
Top designers would worship my passion;
If I played a different role.

But all this conjecture is crazy.
It’s not that I’m careless or lazy;
An orchid won’t sprout from a daisy –
I know what’s beyond my control.

I accept that my limits arrest me;
If I didn’t they may have distressed me.
Still I try to put forward my best me;
And I hope there’s enough to extol.

The truth suffers in the consequence of its betrayal
the afflictions of this present world cannot come unforeseen
Against them all let sound reason do battle
let no imperial threats scare you
do not be grieved at the laughter and mockery of your intimates
nor at the condemnation of those who pretend to care for you
and who put forward, as their most attractive bait to deceive
under a pretence of giving good advice
we all know when our Lord drew upon the sand Mercy spoke
for those of us no longer blind we hope and pray
that our children are gifted with a better future

Broken To Brokenness

Life has changed so am I
For good reasons I am moving
Accepting with open arms what life gave
No complaints ever kept in heart
But…but I do as well breathe a life
Have some expectations to strive.
Be happy and best of health ever
If ever I denied things sometime
I also breathe and wish to survive.
Lone and far taken from my roots
Family never interfered for OUR good
Don’t I deserve the same from your end
My expectations always seems wrong
Silence of me and my family nicely torned.
The truth I put forward is just a pain
No resolution as to why I go insane
Taken and broken and not to complain
Yet struggling without giving up
May be I too am wrong at places
But is it I am totally iniquitous
My peace going to pieces
Not visible … just your pain
No right to mention else you be in strain
But what about me...
Haven’t I sacrificed all without a word
Or being a girl, all my responsibility
We two cant live the way we wish
It always have to be your family.
I am broken tired of explaining
I am not a criminal or sinful species
Still fill my part with best of ways
Anyhow proceed with smile all days
Just wish for myself too to get back
Broken is not an easy feeling infact
It never gives just takes away all
No happiness sought if I cry and haul
I will try anyways to be normal
But...I am broken hope it does matters
Why I feel so hope you find it sensible
Its after all about two if us
Which will matter most till we live
Hope you realize it all before too late
And its not easy to call the self
Broken… Broken… Broken …

The New World

I circled the world in a point of time
And I discovered the story
Of Christopher Columbus’s lifetime
You know, he was born in Italy in 1451?

Young Chris sailed the seas as a felon
Attacking the ships of Moors,
But sadly his vessel was a sunken
Luckily he knew how to swim ashore.

Chris and his brother joined together,
And then he married happily
His wife’s father gave him registers
That all positioned toward the Atlantic.

Dreams for new lands were not far away
Across the seas they would set sail
To see worlds that would be new that day
And bring news that would change humanity.

First permissions were reject for the Indies
Then loving eyes died shortly afterwards
Leaving a son, so he sailed for the Spanish seas
And once more nobility refused his traveling ideas.

There was another wife and yet another child
In the shadow of time were more denials
His needs for finance seemed lost and wild
When a priest put forward for his sake and won.

Chris found his way together with his sons
And three ships that set sail for the Indies
Santa Maria flowed proudly in the setting sun
The Pinta, and The Nina followed closely behind.

The final voyage with vivid eyes showed the way
In 1492 Columbus sailed to the Canaries,
And the Sargasso Seas guided false passageway
Mutiny, anger and violence almost ruined the trip.

Alas the ideas of India and China came into view
Though the Santa Maria sank into the sea
The New World had been discovered by the few
It is now time to go home and spread the great news.

The journey has found a new world for the future
And the human race will now circle the globe
Ships will come and develop a land that is ever pure
Together the new lands will stand fourth as one big world.

Premium Member Izabranica, My Favorite Word

My pools of words are not limited to English.
I was a missionary in France and Belgium, so learned French.
I studied Spanish in college for several years afterwards.
The US Army had me learn Russian during the Cold War,
Then cross-trained me into Serbo-Croatian during the Bosnia/Kosovo Wars.
I spent about 7 years stationed-residing in West Germany and Germany.
Like German, Slavic-derived languages are very root-driven.
The most romantic word I ever heard is "izabranica" (pronounced izabranitsa).
Typical banal English translations do not give the word justice.
Usually it is put forward as an endearment such as 'darling' or 'sweetheart'.
But my favorite Serbo-Croatian word means so much more.
The root of the word is 'bran'; 'braniti' means to select or gather.
The suffix 'ica' is a feminine ending, often used for people.
The prefix 'iza' means "out from". So what does "izabranica' really mean?
Means more than just your one true love; more than just your soulmate...
It means the woman you chose out from among all others, your izabranica.

Expose the Juxtaposed Part 1

The force of the righteous is full of the misguided, a forsaken realm to which we're never invited. The gullible minds of weakness, led by their own obliqueness. "Take your children (Psalms) and thrash them about the sharp edged rocks"...Thus is one of the many reasons that I continually put forward these endless mocks. I can't believe that an all loving, all forgiving gOD cast down the suicide self, As well as the innocent smited children are molested, accused and abused torturers women, and those with mental health. Justified in disguise the light is not as holy as it seems. Consider them monstrous like the most horrific of dreams. They need to pay for their mistakes and quit using our souls as the stakes. Stop the infection, expel falsehood's, refuse the lie, accept it's contradiction and reject the reposed. Religions built on scriptures, with words that are 96% fictitious and written by man then juxtaposed. Fu*k me! I will not believe that the victims of the depressed and self-sufferers are to be condemned. All the while the predators and the profaned are running around free and 'forgiven', no I refuse to pretend. I will not lend a hand nor accept this malevolence as benevolence. Mine eyes cannot live inside this disbelief or believe and accept a King James version full on pretense. I could never have my own faith in this creation gOD, who is more evil than that of those so called "Satanist". When you lay down the holy and unholy bibles... The laws, the sins, the rules side by side. You to will be aghast that the supposed wicked have true morality, character, and pride in which to abide. Devastated that our lives are denied by dreams and disillusions, Some where in time we were misled straight into misinterpreted confusions.

Premium Member The World of the Broken Poet

My world, as rosy as the daisy
Revolving around my moods, sweetly
Some days are high on creativity
Some days lag behind with adversity

My battles, the basis of my portrait
To win some I put forward my best trait
To lose some, I let go of my bait
In the end, my world opens to my own gate!

Never ephemeral, filled to its depth
With sensitivy and pain to its very length
Never totally grey, as angels fill my only heath
With the comfort I shall seek at the time of death!

My world, with its hidden secrets
Not to be memorised like the alphabets
Yet those remain my valuable assets
To be recounted through merry ballets!

My world, that of a broken poet
Seeking the vision of her love pet
Sweet it is at times, through the sunny clime
Though misunderstanding remains its prime!

Premium Member 100 Seconds To Midnight

An endangered species, living on a ledge,
100 seconds to Midnight, then over the edge,
Nearest to Doomsday, humans have ever been,
Vaporised! inside mushrooms of boiling hot steam.

Casually go about our business, without a care,
While the Sword of Damocles, hangs in the air,
So be it, nevertheless, makes no difference to me,
Probably guessed, this poem’s done sardonically.

It’s true! I mean come on, never going to happen,
Like the day, every Dinosaur got flattened,
Poor creatures walking around, totally oblivious,
Could we stop the impact, much less obvious.

Melancholia movie, thought their doomsday, was a flyby,
Built a symbolic shelter of sticks, when aware gonna die,
In that scenario, was definitely better not to know,
A storyline with an inevitability, of no planet tomorrow.

Well back to reality, why should we be exempt,
After redesigning nature, showing utter contempt,
Earths an unexploded time bomb, ready and primed,
Detonated by paranoia, or maniacs out of their mind.

To be honest, rather get finished off, really quick,
Over and done with, not dying radioactively sick,
I’ve done a lot of talking, and when all this is said,
If the missile comes, hope it slams into my head.

I’m sceptical though, about that Doomsday clock,
It’s a postulation, put forward to make us take stock,
Nuclear weapons will continue, for better or worse,
Another asteroid comes, Rejoice if the Bastard’s work!

Door

Behind the door what does happen?
Behind the door what is hidden?

Until any one's door is closed,
the things there, are not exposed.

Of privacy in life, the right I seek.
My friends want, the right to peep.

I keep my door closed for security
That enhances neighbour's curiosity.

Whatever is there, to make the pep
You cannot put forward the step.

Onto the other side of a closed door,
unless you have the lien of yours.

If you want other's doors remain
for you to step into, any time open.

Keep your door open for them,
who needs you and for friends.

Some Questions

No speculation. A meaningful
dialogue must start, when you
are surrounded by a dust?
belt and fading stars. There
was no resurgence?
of hope. No purpose was put forward,
no incubation was held and
there was a stillbirth every time you coneived.

You strive in violence, in
turbulence. That unsettles me.
The churning throws up
the urn of venom. The followers of
death will seek non-existence.
Within space and void, you wanted
fusion of belief and destiny. The
slow climb of thoughts,
will that evolve the mind further ?
