Premium Member A Twisted Ploy

Somehow it seems life loses joy
A game, perhaps a twisted ploy
An end to those most tender years
The zest is gone, but life goes on
Till her last welcome breath is drawn
False hopes reality now clears
Somehow it seems life loses joy
A game, perhaps a twisted ploy

No one her age can still recall
The charms of youth that did enthrall
An end to those most tender years
False hopes reality now clears
Somehow it seems life loses joy
A game, perhaps a twisted ploy

Premium Member It's Nature's Ploy

Where is it written that life must be enjoyed
To counteract the sad times, methinks it's a ploy
Lives shouldn't ever be filled with sad
Such a waste of a life to be sadness clad
There's no guarantees, so joy must be employed

A Reflective Ploy

A Reflective Ploy...

it is a reflective ploy;
on the part of me,
when proofreading
all this work of mine;
and do I really care?
that a full stop.
don’t!
or that commas;
are often too many
or misplaced.
now semi-colons
are useful dudes
to slam!
two slightly related clauses
- together. –
and as for the colon
is quite a pain to introduce!
“quotation marks”
are to be used at your peril;
and only if you know
what you are doing.
and as for an ellipsis;
really,
confuses me head
in where to place the dots.
exclamation mark!
is a serious contender
of becoming nothing more;
than a glorified emoticon!
and a question mark
asks the question?
“are you amazingly clever?”
and as for (brackets),
you can either be;
amazingly clever with their use,
or just plain dumb!
(Parentheses) makes you smart!
[ square brackets]
designed to confuse you!!!
the hyphen, en dash or em dash –
confuses those illiterate of us,
with their proper place
in ‘Da Queen’s Inglish.’
the apostrophe is one of those cats
in this punctuation test;
where we don’t just understand,
where it goes and when.
braces are not your dental thing;
and before you know it,
are always used in pairs,
if you understand the theory
of having a
in a sentence of your choosing.
a slash
is not going out the back for a wait-n-see;
but a most useful punctuation tool
to distinguish two terms,
such as she/he.
“punctuation marks!’
in this day and age
of texting…
on a mobile thing,
has become a lost art.
so, in rhetoric!
what does the future hold?
for a ‘little black duck,’
in writing
musings, thoughts and words,
in a reflective ploy
this is a never-ending riddle.

The Thunderous Ploy of the Heart

Brave and courageous they know the power of love
Hearts that bleed
Live by the creed of love
Giving their all
Knowing that love is like a tidal wave!

Shadows of comfort sprinkle the faces of those in love
Blades of power hold their mouth
Words of silence can’t escape
The thunderous ploy of the heart!

Love is a courageous journey
It starts at forever and ends at never!
Hearts that bleed are hearts that feed off the weight of love
The sudden shift of emotion illuminates the darkness
The singleness of a passion electrifies the soul
But the cold shift of isolation keeps the mission alive!

The heart bleeds
Feeding off every abnormality and
Revealing the centrality of all hidden thoughts!

Love is a comfort worth exploring
Love is an oddity worth refining
Hearts that bleed are hearts that feed off the weight of love
The sudden shift of emotion clarifies the darkness
The oneness of a passion electrifies the soul
But the cold shift of isolation keeps the mission alive!

Hearts that bleed
Live by the creed of love
Giving their all
Knowing that love is like a tidal wave

Premium Member Hate Be But the Devil's Ploy

Did you ever wonder about how is it that humankind harbors hatred
Did you ever wonder about how did life become so accursed
Why does Man, with darkness, does be acquainted
About how and when to the devil, did be acquiesce

Hatred does root from Man's heart
Sometimes it snatches away his comfort
With hatred he does become obsessed
For only hatred, in his heart, has been amassed

Yes, Man is now ruled by his own ego
Never shall he accept to bend
For his wants only shall he care to stand
Never even bothering whether he does put others in great sorrow

Hatred does cause millions of people to be killed
Hatred does cause the devil to be thrilled
For with Man's hatred for his own likes does he feed
Yes, even if such does cause Man's blood to bleed

Hatred does cause Man to keep his distance
Away from those who do love him, he does be a monster
Not even does he believe in goodness
Not even does he believe that life, without hatred, would have been better!

Hatred can lead Man to cause great destruction
Not only to himself but to all those who surround him
Never shall be believe that he does bask in confusion
Believing that only he does exist, that towards himself, none has the right to desist

Hatred can ruin each and everyone
Pray, fall not into hatred's trap
It is all a ploy of the devil
The devil being but the one who wishes to see Man fall

Fall not for such crap
Life, without love, is all dark and gloomy
Life, with hatred, is like a dark road
At every corner, there does be, a most powerful enemy!

Premium Member A Political Ploy

She abandoned her home and friends, in fear
of brutal gangs pushing drugs and firearms.
And walked for months to reach the US border;
where ICE agents yanked her child from her arms.

No amount of begging could deter them,
and she's handcuffed, her child taken away.
Asylum seekers, denied a trial
where a judge decides if they get to stay.

They refused to say where they took her boy,
citing that all illegals get bused back.
And it was up to her to locate him;
proclaiming it wasn't their job to keep track.

Please, God, I beg You, help her find her boy:
he is more than a political ploy.

The thought of holidays makes me crazy;
If not planned well we will become lazy.
My mom’s face turns very red,
Seeing me always in bed.
She wants me to be like a fresh daisy!

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy;
All play and no work is not a wise ploy.
Balance between work and play
Drives monotony away.
Joy is yours, this trick if you well deploy!

Premium Member Warlock's Ploy

Warlock stands atop
Entire world, splashing hatred
Into each person
That ever hopes in getting
Ahead in this world of death

Where the plush is gone
Hope is ever elusive
And the spider weaves
His daring web of deceit
Luring the lost inside it

Warlock laughs at us
Thinking us to be lost souls
Without the darkness
That he so envelopes in
His dark soul, eaten distraught

Now the warlock preys
He looks towards the missing
The lost ones inside
And he converts them into
The deepest darkest minions

Servants of his craft
Do his bidding whenever
He desires them to
He tries to get as many
People under his hate spell

He will try to spin
The web of disillusion
So people may think
He is something that he’s not
To one day rule this planet

Premium Member Scarecrow's Ploy

Outside the house of a great and despised lord
There hangs an awesome scarecrow of might and fright
He’s ferocious and heartless in one accord
His beady eyes light up red, glows in the night
He starts fires in the pits under his control
To create fear in mortals inside this hole
Other scarecrows surround the fire just smiling
Knowing man’s time has come, they will be dying

Just a Ploy

Have you ever been
     Accepted,
By the right hand
     Of all man
Less it be by the hands'
      The hands,
  Of Jesus Christ
              -
Who is no ordinary Man
              -
Oh, have you ever been held
       Accountable
For things' Ye not yet understand
                 -
Lest it be by matters' of the Heart
That so few yet command
Less they be furbished
By the hands' of the Lord
      Thy God
And decant with the seeds'
         Of His Love
     And fully Blessed

Trump and Ploy To Annoy

Trump and Ploy To Annoy

Trump as usual appears as another ploy;
It is only designed  for his base to enjoy;

Rest of us will really irritate and annoy.

Much Sugar Less Joy

Am i speaking with a girl coy
And not sensible Billy Roy
Just cramming much sugar in soy?

Up appetite sucrose could cloy,
Sweetened meals hearts hardly buoy,
Much sugar and less joy,
Yes, time bomb treating as toy;
Not better than Rum for Ahoy!

I could swear a food demon's ploy
To their finishing hands employ

"Now Diabetes here we come:
Billy Roy and I show the sum"

Ever on guard

                               Your hobby is to kill my joy,
                       Each of the bullet you fire hurts.
                    But whatever your ploy.
              I'll always clear your dirts.
             I'm made strong to last.
          Try even more hard,
          My mind is fast.
          Ever on guard.

Joe Biden Ploy To Enjoy

Joe Biden Ploy To Enjoy

We did discover a Joe Biden ploy,
For him to employ and also enjoy,
Jokes compile;
Always smile,
While many others he may annoy.

Have You Heard About the Latest Ploy

Have you heard about the latest ploy?
To deploy soy,
Into everything I enjoy,
My tastebuds to destroy.

Never mind that an allergy to soy,
Could affect your boy,
Or that flour in anything you buy has been bulked up with Soy,
Or that there is no room in the product for what used to meet your joy.
I almost forgot to mention that freedom to choose anything but Soy,
May soon be something else you may no longer enjoy,
As corn fields take a hit as they are replaced by soy
As planting of Soy is now common on American soil and jobs too will
  be based on Soy.
With a free glass of soy milk during your break from planting soy.

Once your taste buds are destroyed by soy,
How will we tell if our hamburger is the real McCoy?

And that is not the only ploy,
You will see them deploy,
As mountains of salted caramel go into what does not contain soy.

The good news is there is still time for a counter ploy,
If we home bake and push up again the demand for the real McCoy,
But remember time is running out for you to deploy,
Before your taste buds they destroy.
