A Political Ploy

She abandoned her home and friends, in fear of brutal gangs pushing drugs and firearms. And walked for months to reach the US border; where ICE agents yanked her child from her arms. No amount of begging could deter them, and she's handcuffed, her child taken away. Asylum seekers, denied a trial where a judge decides if they get to stay. They refused to say where they took her boy, citing that all illegals get bused back. And it was up to her to locate him; proclaiming it wasn't their job to keep track. Please, God, I beg You, help her find her boy: he is more than a political ploy.

We can crucify Trump but he's the only President willing (or pressured) to do anything about it. Obama and Bush also separated kids. Where was the (much needed) outcry? This should NEVER have happened and both sides have used these kids as pawns.. it's why I HATE politics!

Thanks Lyric Man, we all hate politics... but I am talking about the inhumanity of this situation not who started it first...I appreciate your comments my friend, Emile.

Although I do not agree with your opinion, I do admire your prowess for poetry, Emile. In this country, when people break the law, they get punished, even juveniles. That is all I am going to say. Coming from one who has been punished.
