Morning tumbles into my arms,
I give a gentle hug,
Smooth down
Her long gauzy dress,
Run my fingers through her rays
And braid sweet pea tendrils in blond pigtails.

Lifting up her quivering chin
I gaze into sapphire eyes,
Drawl encouraging morning words:
“Good” and “glory”,
“Dove”,
And she embraces the petunia day....

In gardens fair, where colors bloom,
Petunias dance in whispered grace,
Their vibrant hues dispel the gloom.

With petals soft as velvet plume,
They weave a tale of love's embrace,
In gardens fair, where colors bloom.

In golden light, their beauty...

Let Me Have It Then Kiss My Petunia
He cheated on you- what a surprise
You’re wife #5 in his pattern of lies
Did you think he’d be loyal ‘cause he gave you a ring?
Did you think he’d stop flirtin’ and start stayin’ in?
Did you think you were special, that you were the one?
Puh-lease, you...

Book: Radiant Verses: A Journey Through Inspiring Poetry

A Luscious Pink Petunia In the Garden
Though you are but a stranger to me, I offer you a kiss.
And though I’ve never met you, I know you and what you’re searching.
Look tenderly at me, and you will find it.
It is in me what you, stranger, yearn for most.
I’ll quench your thirst,...

Petunia
Petunia

Germinate the seed for ten weeks inside
Petunia grows in the ground with minerals
Pink petals and a stem
I say it is not a flower
It is Gregory
Petunia came from South America
A different culture cultivating plants
I don’t speak their language; Spanish, Portuguese
So Gregory it is
My Master’s degree...

Petunia In An Onion Patch
PETUNIA IN AN ONION PATCH

You’re always talking incessantly about beauty
Or whinging about life’s sadness and duty!
Just cant stand you people called poets
I’d sooner listen to my horse chomping oats
And your so-called rhyme schemes are a...

Peculiar Petunia
Peculiar Petunia was very strange indeed,
I mean how many six-year-olds would choose to wear tweed?
On the first day of school, in an effort to impress,
Petunia chose a hand-woven olive green dress,
The other little girls wore lace in pink and red,
But Petunia knew the value of...

Living Large Behind Petunia
Living Large Behind Petunia

Elephants walk around on clouds
Light footed in humble stature
Like dolphins strong in mind
They know their station
Commanding winds of change
Remain complacent to a fault
Smiling at the fruits of sun and food
Never take life too seriously
Being elephant is a weighty matter
Taking one large...

petunia
Prays in the pew
A funnel shaped flower
Petulant to pettle
The petty officer's
Phallus.

petunia
Makes earnest petiton,
A deep redish purple
Showing sudden impatience
For the inlisted man's
Pestle.

petunia
Perfects her worship,
A melodic soft velvet
Reciting impassioned pleas
For the Pontifex's
Poppycock.

petunia
Flutters above paradise,
Tremulous and agitated
Peaked with peace offerings
For that patrician's
Peeper.

petunia
Patrols the parapet,
Her...

Dearest Petunia...
(spoken about my wife to our dog, Petunia)

Dearest Petunia, how I love her so.
Is this something your furry brain could know?
I long for her as you long for a treat.
I crave her touch as you crave to lick feet.
She calms my calculations, lets me rest;
Like...

Kick and Kiss the Petunia
I’ll have peace of mind at night
if you just stay out of my sight.
I have seen the light and
I now know that I am too good to be your type,
too intelligent to wait for this to get ripe.
The storm has expired and I am resistant.
It...

Love and Hate Relationship

You are so good at pushing that wrong button
You had my blood pressure boiling all of a sudden
How can you be so sarcastic
Your behavior can be so darn drastic
You start a fight and then you run away and leave
Turning your words around,...

The Wild Petunia
I never expected you to come to Australia first
Still with the appearance that I am familiar
I must travel across the ocean back and forth
And you? I wonder how could you come here?

I saw you climb the fence in our hometown
Up to my ears and...

Petunia
I've got a pet Petunia
You know what I mean

When I'm chill I pet my pet Petunia
And it gives me a roar

It's been appreciated from time to time from others
Pretty likeable to me

As it gets wet and juicy
It likes hearing wet and juicy gossip

It may have...

My eye is quickly seized by a gorgeous glimmer of purple; I walk over to take a better look. The renegade petunias have arrived to announce the imminent arrival of summer. They are supposed to be annuals, but no one has told them, so...
