Death Becomes Art

There, on a sill of contentious decisions
Glass shards sit waiting a wavering hand
Reflective the memories wrapped ‘round the curtains
Lost in a pane that she can’t understand

Chilled calls the breeze through a jagged eviction
Scenting the air neath a ceiling now stained
Dampening dreams behind oven doors gaping
Finding the pilot light has not complained

Ripping out pages of scribbled delusions
Day becomes night in the depths of her mind
Chasing the echoes when no one will answer
Begging each shadow for something to find

Setting a table of rounded persuasions
Watching fluorescents fade fast in her eyes
Turning the knob towards a sorrowed direction
Why is there none who react to her cries

Loneliness peels back the layered condition
Voices of reason have fled to her past
Fearing the worst will come visit tomorrow
Sensing the hour shall now be her last

So many days and the roses need pruning
Nary a movement is noticed inside
Caught in his thoughts that her words had intentions
If only those moments ignored would confide

Desperate ink found in fingertip writings
Penned by the demons left roaming her head
Still haunts the question of fear never listened
Death becomes art in the stanzas unread

Inside pub steins stout magic spoke
‘neath genie wisps of bangle smoke
Brown cone cigars, deep chubby pipes
Aromatic spills to breach the night.
Music calls to muted songs
Rough knuckles echo Bodhrán drums.
Flute, melodeon, bouzouki*, mandolin
Penny whistles, uilleann pipes, one feisty violin.
Pied piper rhythms, pied piper beats
Bold Celtic persuasions to move proud legs and feet.

To Daver and friendship, thank you!

* Bouzouki...A stringed instrument that could stand up to the volume and intensity of fiddles, flutes, accordions, and pipes.

“If you don’t know the kind of person I am
and I don’t know the kind of person you are
a pattern that others made may prevail in the world
and following the wrong god home we may miss our star.*

Shouts abound, demanding equality
Yet, when push comes to shove
My choices are rudely rejected
A bat appears, held in an iron glove.

Ethics and virtue may only reside
Down deep in the soul of each
My effect on the thoughts of others
go only as far as my words reach.

Hold on to your own persuasions
And say what you need to say
Please do so in warm acceptance
With bitterness having no sway.

Only those who are politically correct
Have freedom to voice their convictions
But I, too, have my own opinions
And voted as I chose in this election.

When I reach out with a velvet glove
In tolerance, though we don’t agree
And you return resentment and anger
No one in America is totally free.

Silently - We - Discover - Love

Silently ~ we ~ discover ~ love

Silently

floating on a lily pad
softly atop twilight waters,
drifting a wind swept current
meandering between
pine needle shores

we

gather moon beams,
wishfully gazing upon
reflections of stardust tapestries
saturating cosmic dreams,
as the two of us

discover

whispering ripples flowing,
formed of heartbeat echoes,
tranquil rhythms weaving through
the serenity of the night
in quiet persuasions of

love

Everyone Knows

EVERYONE KNOWS

Everybody knew that the earth was flat
There were lots of bumps so not flat as all that
Though ships seemed to sink out of sight in the distance
They would come back with reassuring persistence
But everyone agreed from the peasant to The Crown
Clearly up was up and down was down

They all knew that the earth was the Centre, the middle
Sun and stars all around, it couldn’t play second fiddle
Galileo demurred; didn’t fit his equations
But revised his opinion on powerful persuasions
So reality continued to veer from the actual
‘Till they could not deny all the evidence factual

The theories of Galen from centuries ago
Said blood moved in the body by ebb and by flow
Then Harvey discovered the blood’s circulation
Requiring that science give reconsideration
Though facts showed that Galen’s old theory was failin’
Some proclaimed that they would rather err with old Galen

Now everyone knows climate’s in bad transformation
Based mainly on computer model simulation
CO2 is now villain and viewed as a bane
Yet the plants and the trees relish more of the same
We are told it is true, scientists agree far and wide
Like when Earth was flat, and blood moved with the tide

But science is dominant, and considered unmalleable
Except that the scientists are human and fallible
Just like all human race they have weakness, will amend a
Set of data not fitting their venal agenda
Use your eyes, beware those things everyone knows
In a trice could be gone like the yesteryear snows

Monet's Magnificence

Monet

Brush strokes of elegant refinement

within eloquent sighs of awed inspiration

fluid scenery grasping Nirvana's refulgence

emotions painted vividly seasoned

music ringing from canvas's power

clinging to old master's sway

essence dipped of cultured omnipotence,

technique as enticed strumming violin strings

oyster'd pearls secrets of holy waters

in timely charms surrendered relevance

reevaluating a lost art's composition,

indistinguishable as snowflakes

in swirling paths of poignant distinction

relentless reflections ravish the eye

simply understated in complex polish

artfully dressed in sweet indulgences

delectation for the heart's yielding,

anointed of fire as elusive sands of time

like poetry misting off a gossamer pond

whilst wildflowers bloom amidst flair's allure

illusions that permeate spirit's indulgences

perception's pondered in provoked persuasions

amidst spells of splendiferous pièce de résistance,

concepts of genius's hand worked achievements

imploring deliverance of pondered breaths

exhaling hued aspiration's destined treasures

perfected jewels in classic showpieces' distinction

Monet's artistic pulchritude engraved for posterity

Indifference

With the venom
I've been dyed with
I become a stranger
Even to myself
Having lived too long
In a world of stones
The gentle spirit
That used to breathe
Inside me with soft consience
Seems missing
Prompted by bitter thoughts
Hissing out of cracks
On dark rocks around me
My heart no longer beats
Like it used to
Sweet murmers and tender persuasions
As silky as green touch of spring
Whispering graceful dreams
And warm words
As confident as roots
Have evaporated and withered
My flesh and bones too are
As dry as sermons
What'll I do with your love now
When my being no longer
Absorbs honey
I wish not to stand
In front of your throne
With my rocky history
But then
Your love too is as indifferent as
Sands of a desert
Strangulating moist hope of an oasis
Like the way
These rocks do to me
Souls failing all the way
To your indifference

Casting Down Emaginations

Thought for Today: Casting Down Imaginations
By Dana Redricks
Gods People
January 2, 2020

" We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ, being ready to punish every act of disobedience, when your own obedience [as a church] is complete." 2 Corinthians 10:5 (AMP)

Our minds are the battlefield Satan uses. Everything begins as a thought life. Our enemy uses our thought life against us. If we change the way we think we change the way we live. Everything is determined by our thought life. If we want to stop thinking negative we have to replace those negative thoughts with positive ones, which is the Word of God. The Word of God is for defense and empowering with the purposes of God. The act of defense is the act of standing our ground against attacks, and schemes Satan and his demonic host. The Word of God is our defense against the attacks of the kingdom of darkness of Satan. that's why it is important to cast down every imagination that exalts itself against God, and put on the full Armor of God,"Therefore, put on the complete armor of God, so that you will be able to [successfully] resist and stand your ground in the evil day [of danger], and having done everything [that the crisis demands], to stand firm [in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious]." (Ephesians 6:11l. We should put on the Full Armor of God, so we will be able to stand in the evil day. the Word of God equips us and gives us everything we need to live a successful life in Christ, and also come against the attacks and schemes Satan's demonic forces.

"The doctrines of the gospel and discipline of the church are the weapons of this warfare; and these are not carnal: outward force, therefore, is not the method of the gospel, but strong persuasions, by the power of truth and meekness of wisdom. A good argument this is against persecution for conscience’ sake: conscience is accountable to God only; and people must be persuaded to God and their duty, not driven by force of arms. And so the weapons of our warfare are mighty, or very powerful; the evidence of truth is convincing and cogent." Matthew Henry Commentary

Premium Member Once In a Blue Moon

Once in a blue moon, in the circuit of the cryptic sky appears the transcendental fusion,
when the acquiescence of the sky emerges to display two heavenly bodies most exotic phases of union.

On those, mesmerizing venerated nights, the new moon and the wolf moon in juxtaposition,
supercede the perceived notion of eclipses; when the earth's shadow devours the pearly moon, its unparalleled companion!

Contrary to the credence, they recline and mingle, into one in secret paranormal amalgamation!
At that spectacular moment, the blood of the luna oozes, turns scarlet,
and the venerated Full Moon turns into Blood Moon in unison:
when the earth's umbra covers the moon in its arms, passionately to hide pains of her bunion!

They have clandestine agreement, beyond the mortal comprehension to fathom their cabalistic union!

Although, once in a blue moon, even the cynical corporals,
turn fortunate to witness the epochal communion!
Deluded and hypnotised, they come out with their finite, shallow persuasions!

Even waning, the luna in all her immaculate purity, maneuvers the blue planet, her matchless companion
in various alluring phases, in exuberant magnificent manifestations!
Those rarest phases in rotation connotes their cryptic indulgences in culmination!

The momentum of the earth-moon collision forms curious rarefied condensation,
causes in its beloved's bosom, the tidal ridges, the ebb and flow, a unique phenomenon!

When the luna grows from New Moon to Waxing Crescent, whispering the earth to cast its beams for illumination
in diverse evolving phases from Crescent, First Quarter Waxing Gibbous, Full Moon, Waning Gibbous, Last Quarter, Waning Crescent to the New Moon,
both the celestial- bodies embrace each other
in variant robes of orientations!

Their hide and seek, merging enigma, provokes the lunatics for musing bardic explorations;
as once in a blue moon merges the peerless pens to extol,
the unfathomed metamorphosis of earth-luna's metaphysical communion!

Twin Flames

I need me some Dutch chocolate in my life.
That Tyrese chocolate.
I'm talking that coffee black.
Once you had it like that.
Ain't no coming back.
White teeth shining.
As bright as the sun.
With you there's no doubt
The prize has been won.
That love that makes me sprung.
Again and again.
Mmmmmmm.
Driving my body like a NASCAR.
Black love.
My superstar.
I want you more and more.
So strong.
Staying ready for any war.
He is mines and I am his.
Already married by God.
Don't need a witness.
Hypnotized by your loveliness.
Creative conversations.
Indecent persuasions.
On the daily.
Not just SPECIAL occasions.
The only one that makes me smile.
 With no hesitation.
Oh yes.
My Only inspiration is
To loving you more.
Not less.
Could never close the door.
Wouldn't settle for less.
No doubt, you truly are the best.
All that I've been searching for.
He is Savage. He is King.
He is my everything.
So Priceless.
Worth more than bling bling
and the chi-ching.
He is my Angel without the wings.
You pick me up when I am sad.
I would just die without your love.
Because, the pain would be too bad.
When I was down, was all I had.
With you I find joy for a lifetime.
I could never be mad.
Lost in the intimacy of your love.
With you my happiness rises
Higher than the stars above.
How you truly complete me.
With the compassion that you give.
Your heart is the only place
That I want to live.
I belong in your arms.
Well survive the storm.
And Everytime we make love
it's like making a ****.
My voice calls out your name.
To the sounds of trumpet horns.
Beautiful sounds in my ear.
A love I never have to question.
Will always in my life
remain a blessing.
My Pappa Bear, my husband.
He is my Savage.
My King.
He is my everything.
So priceless.
Worth more than bling bling
and chi-ching.
My Angel without wings.
You pick me up when I am sad.
I would just die without your love.
Because, the pain would be too bad.
When no one else was there.
Your love was all I had.
I love you my SOULMATE.
Passed the Pearly Gates.
Like Luther,
Love won't let me wait.
"My Soulmate".

Premium Member The Last Day of School

So this is it. It’s finally here.
Your last school day has come
No more morning drop offs
No more rushed school run.

No more sandwiches to pack
No more sports kit to acquire
No frantic searching for the socks
Hiding somewhere in the dryer

No more crazes to embrace
No whirring fidget spinners
No scoubidos or scooters
No more school hot dinners

No more earnest pleas for help
Or passionate persuasions
To help with your maths homework
And solve quadratic equations !

A vista stretches far behind
When you were very young
And had to have your hair combed flat
But never in a bun !

Mum was taking all the flack
When your bottom lip would wobble
Armed with just a hairbrush
And a Clare’s, Pink Princess, bobble

Selling cakes and muffins
When cake stall day came round
Besieged by hungry children
At the home time bells shrill sound

Scrubbing out car carpets
With some enzyme killing spray
And vowing I would NEVER
Take you back to “Shakeaway”

No more sunny sports days
Then a picnic under trees
Nor helping at school discos
When the heat hit 80 degrees !

No more frantic walks to school
No chatting at the gate
No more nudge to hurry up
So we didn’t sign in late

No more uniform to buy
No September feet to measure
No school concerts to attend
And glow with pride and pleasure

No more avid watching
For the slightest trace of snow
Yearning for a snow day
Tuned to local radio

No more parents evenings
Time to sort out all the debts
To remember all those good times
and never have regrets.

We will treasure all these moments
Hold them close within our heart
There are other seas for you to sail
So soon you must depart.

These memories are so precious
These moments are so rare
So wherever life’s path takes you
If you need us - we’ll be there.

Premium Member Persuasions of a Sojourning Moon

Her supple and shapely silhouette rests submissively
as the luster upon the soft satin sheets arouses
sensual images of salaciousness beneath the sheen surface

My empty yet enduring eyes slowly engage the darkness
eager to embark upon the elusive lines energizing the elation
as a sojourning moon entices her to endear

Her excelling exuberance... exploited on exhalation
exposing her explicitly, exemplifying the excerpt
of an exonerated experience as the moonlight expires

Paradigm unto eternity..' Yet knowing-less before the sundering decision, motive; persuasions...

Reaches of thought..' every entity included, persons worthy all..' I beseech while able, much to

Become true; is in existence, 'tense present' A relief of sorts is, and yet is passing; as inherent awareness hovers..'

under-standing.? I never knew in one lesson, then there was' now what has been, has..'

Coming is evermore, Subjugate errant thoughts, negative emotion still all can happen..'

Human reason in not always able, let what wills to do, do..' and remain in readiness..

Je Te Veux - - I Want You

Hungered for a taste
  of your essenced elixir,
drunken inhalations
   of your French poetry
a splendiferous whirl
 of time & space 'tween
darkly scented moons
    and sun's adoration,
blithe starry nights
amidst meditative new
dawn's effervesce,
 spirited of the heart,
gleaned in the soul,
yearnings of another
  chapter's paradise
universal experiences
etched of hourglass sand,
 written upon endlessly
    chimerical verses
wildflower gardens drenched
    of dandelion's plum wine
swooning under a
hypnotic scripted spell,
intoxicating power
of unchained symphonies
dancing amongst skies'
released euphoria
 resonating in a song's
   reprised melodies,
breathlessness of delirium's
  celestial pauses
  in vaporous breezes'
  unfurling undulation,
captivated by rhythmic
  destiny reverberating in
     loins' pleasurable calling
  quenched of sacred
     offering's quell
transcending earthly
   persuasions' rhyme,
let me lick the nectar from
   your poesy's insatiable lips,
sweet mercy's healing
   captured in rapturous
   surrender's reawakening ~
