Human Values To Be Perished

Who is noble to pay respect which springs from within?
Respect cannot be hidden.
Who is grateful to have the past gratitude?
Respect is the best human sentiment which has no other substitute.
Who is charitable today?
How many does to you a kind word say?
Charity means an act of generosity
Charity is an act of liberality.
Charity underlines kindness,
Also hospitality and frankness.
Charity transforms man into a human being
It is just a noble and humble understanding
How many are to the poor and needy merciful?
How many are to the unfortunate, down- trodden and helpless pitiful?
Who does love one another selflessly?
Without having any selfish motives and without greed
Who does have affection for one?
Only bitter hatred but love for none.
Is anyone as humble as a sea rock?
Pride has made them to others sneer and mock.
Is anyone as Gandhiji honest?
But left to burn in the lava of anger, jealousy
Greed, selfishness and turn them ugliest.
Is there anyone who is backbiting?
Who is to all the wishes and desires of the
unfortunates and orphans fulfilling?
Is there anyone left who is spotless?
Unmoved by the pain, sorrow, grief, agony and is immensely joyous?
Science and money have crippled and deadened man's sensibilities
He has erased himself from humanity and responsibilities.

A Young Life Perished, Earlier Today

There was a thing rolling on the corner of the street
Round, hairy, small, but not hard to notice
And a body, lying faced down on the corner of the street
So fragile, so young, so small, hard to miss.
I heard the scream of a woman, and sounds of fight
But there was nothing able to stop such a blight

That man with a butcher knife, heartless
Faking a good intention to carry out his terrible deed
Such a chance for him, so divine
A young life perished in his hand, an eerie demise
Gave him the illusion of being a god
Tasteless, lifeless, merciless, nothing can stop.

Blood dripping, broken hearts.

I looked again, with curiosity
My heart began to break
After witnessed such an atrocity

A young life had perished
Earlier today, on the corner of the street
This world will never forget, will never forgive
Little light bulb, may you rest in peace.

Perished Might

Those that believe might is right
Are itching on paltry issues to fight

Show them in the mirror of gone by times
The perished Cyrus and Caesar’s might

Pepper Perished

Lung cancer ended his life, that's a terrible thing to go through.
He starred as the bully who beat up Clark Kent in "Superman II".
In 1977, he starred in "Martinelli, Outside Man".
During that same year, he also starred in "The November Plan".
He guest-starred as a minister in "The Good Guys".
It's always sad and tragic when such a person dies.
Because of cancer, he's no longer alive.
He died in 2022 at the age of eighty-five.
He starred in "Evil Altar" and "The Over-The-Hill Gang Rides Again".
He was both a wrestler and an actor and his name was Pepper Martin.

[Dedicated to Pepper Martin (1936-2022) who died on March 18, 2022]

Premium Member They Tell Me that I Perished

They tell me that I perished
But I've never felt more alive
And the warmth of your presence
   Still lingers in my mind.

I ventured longer than an arm -
   Beyond the dim horizon -
Further than a murky quasar
Yet less than a prayer's span.

When you stop to think of me -
When tears can't help but fall -
Know that it's okay to grieve
And let them wash your soul

Then look up and say a prayer -
Since words have power of flight -
I'll catch it at heaven's shore -
Think of you - smile and sigh.

Premium Member For all that perished in the fire of your love

For all that perished in the fire of your love,
I now offer you everything, the past, the present, my whole life.
I still hope, one day, to see you return,
For I have kept those years, ready to give them back to you.
Those years, rich and wild, ours,
I have warmed in my palms days, months, seasons for you.
Please, be present before time ends its story,
While my heart still beats for you.
Come back, let me give you the pain I have gathered,
Enough for an hour of tears.
Come back, for now our house is only me,
The past years weigh on me, I want to give them back to you.
Cross the seas, cross the mountains, to bring back memories,
Memories in which to confront me.
Return to the places where we dreamed together,
Where we loved each other without guilt.
Soothe my humiliation, drive away the fears hidden in thought,
Once again, change your path, for everything seems meaningless.
Let me give you pieces of the love that was,
Come back, for I am still here, waiting for you.
I don't need proof, I don't ask for receipts for love,
I wait for you in the place where angels gather.
I have locked seven years in the love I bear for you,
Forgive me like a wandering soul.
Come back from where the stars fall, when the grapes are ripe,
I have gathered years for you, packed in days and nights.
Return to the past, to the garden set ablaze by passion,
Where you saw me and made me the prisoner of pain.
But please, come back one day,
Let me give you back the lost years,
For all you've sacrificed out of love for me,
I am ready to die, so we may finally be equal.
