For all that perished in the fire of your love

For all that perished in the fire of your love,
I now offer you everything, the past, the present, my whole life.
I still hope, one day, to see you return,
For I have kept those years, ready to give them back to you.
Those years, rich and wild, ours,
I have warmed in my palms days, months, seasons for you.
Please, be present before time ends its story,
While my heart still beats for you.
Come back, let me give you the pain I have gathered,
Enough for an hour of tears.
Come back, for now our house is only me,
The past years weigh on me, I want to give them back to you.
Cross the seas, cross the mountains, to bring back memories,
Memories in which to confront me.
Return to the places where we dreamed together,
Where we loved each other without guilt.
Soothe my humiliation, drive away the fears hidden in thought,
Once again, change your path, for everything seems meaningless.
Let me give you pieces of the love that was,
Come back, for I am still here, waiting for you.
I don't need proof, I don't ask for receipts for love,
I wait for you in the place where angels gather.
I have locked seven years in the love I bear for you,
Forgive me like a wandering soul.
Come back from where the stars fall, when the grapes are ripe,
I have gathered years for you, packed in days and nights.
Return to the past, to the garden set ablaze by passion,
Where you saw me and made me the prisoner of pain.
But please, come back one day,
Let me give you back the lost years,
For all you've sacrificed out of love for me,
I am ready to die, so we may finally be equal.
