A Young Life Perished, Earlier Today
There was a thing rolling on the corner of the street Round, hairy, small, but not hard to notice And a body, lying faced down on the corner of the street So fragile, so young, so small, hard to miss. I heard the scream of a woman, and sounds of fight But there was nothing able to stop such a blight That man with a butcher knife, heartless Faking a good intention to carry out his terrible deed Such a chance for him, so divine A young life perished in his hand, an eerie demise Gave him the illusion of being a god Tasteless, lifeless, merciless, nothing can stop. Blood dripping, broken hearts. I looked again, with curiosity My heart began to break After witnessed such an atrocity A young life had perished Earlier today, on the corner of the street This world will never forget, will never forgive Little light bulb, may you rest in peace.
