Best Officiate Poems
Every one ask me where am I’m from knowing I’m from,
North Carolina is my accent that officiate,
English is but not my first language if you can tell by my writ ting it is French and or Spanish it come
Very
Natural I am mixed with little bit everything manly Puerto rican, Black, and Cherokee but my mom
Said I talk like I am Italian when I get up set the Italian claim me from where from
The Spanish where I am from have in side joke that I am Cuban that what my dad said on job
I am minority with in a minority where from but I just say I’m Caribbean because when I research
Caribbean islands they claim me
The word other is becoming of age what is the political correct term I do not know
But I was force to answer this question on the poll when to vote and I have vote it in every term
So if I every make history remember me as Caribbean lover
From the “city that I am from”

Narrative
There is no shame in nakedness of self
Discarded were the clothes of woodland creatures
Who would have worn them off eventually
Stand before me,
Look-
There upon that black shelf
The one that extends forever in directions of the sun
Watch-
Up and down this opening
Lay the bodies of my heritage
Killed by “zippets”
All my toes, I counted them, they had not a chance
Once-
The binding season crazed their thought
Jezzi was wooing BeBe, and he chased her
To what would have been their nest
Had he made it cross
Watch how it glistens like water beads on a strom
I almost darted over it
Had it not been for my le-bov-ed, ashee
I would be “can’t fly food”
What more can this harm do?
All their overfeathers, torn thin.
Apart went they, under this foul wind and instance
Better for you I am wise
Observing the forest floor as a watch-maiden
The smallest, tiniest, utterance I officiate
Like cries on the black shelf
Oft they wazzle me eyes burst
Panning the crunchy for a victim
Only to trail the splitten voice twice seen
It is safer here, on the crunchy sound
Where the zippets don’t fly
We can soar with appetites for tomorrow
Beneath the close of our eyes
1. Worst fear- speed (anything higher than 70 mph)
2. Being road kill
3. Owl

As parents officiate,
Delegate,
Yes, and even participate.
We fascinate,
As we motivate,
Our children to co-operate,
And concentrate
Leading their minds to contemplate,
Formulate,
And evaluate
That which helps learning accelerate.
As children mature
More complex board games build character
Along with the art of how to communicate
As well as how to be considerate.
This shows with family, playmates,
And even classmates.
Sportsmanship is why the loser must
Congratulate
The winner for being fortunate.
The loser must never underestimate
The opponent which validates
How children relate
And appreciate
The way we educate.
As our children walk down the aisle to graduate
Parents silently say check mate.

Elephants and Asses
By Franklin Price
1/3/2016
Elephants and asses
It's oh so apropos
They represent the parties
We know that it is so
The elephant throws it weight around
And stomps feet to and fro
The ass refuses movement
To go where it should go
Seems to me that's how it is
Neither will cooperate
There's no negotiation
Both of them are second rate
Conservative or liberal
It's only just a name
The public are the referees
To officiate this foolish game
There are so many penalties
That's what the game is all about
How either makes a touchdown
Guess we never will find out
Both think they've won if there's a tie
At least the other's not the champ
If anyone cooperates
They're traitors to the other camp
The loser is this country
There will be no Super Bowl
Until the Elephants and Asses
Get their heads out of the hole

Spoiler Forewarning Alert!
This averred title announced straight
away so lingering fans
(hoop fully letting me abbreviate)
a short cut so ye
can up and evacuate,
while metered time,
not yet foregone and not to late
hence best heed mine caution
which can protect minimum damage,
asper gray matter within pate
or blithely ignore
admonishment, aye accentuate
hmm...okay,...you apparently
decided to forsake adequate
prophecy, resigning despite
honest to dog admission to punctuate
a most unpleasant prediction,
I did woof lee aerate
worst case scenario,
leaving disabling genetic trait
to effect generations,
where legions of lesions adulterate
causing future offspring to mutate
and closely resemble
teenage mutant turtles, this potentate
(albeit self declared
only mein kampf, thee only life,
his existence he can arrogate
he doth officiate),
hence proceed at your own risk,
to avoid unpleasant fate,
visited upon unborn sons and daughters
uttering imprecations
unintelligible expletive laced spate,
that would approximate
(a cross between duck and pig)
incoherently gutturally excoriate
ting tee, thus don't tell me, I didn't
forewarn ya, whar
yar heart might palpitate,
thus causing da ole
ticker to fluctuate
dem eyes of yaws
could severely dilate,
while sweat gushes out every pore
streaming like liquid useless tube video,
a salty sea would then perspirate
out every last drop of fluid,
erupting magmatic plasma
to pool agglomerate
right under keister,
a lovely bag of bones
delivered to Norristown State
which inability to hydrate,
hence resultant mummification
heroic measures futile
thus humane decision would necessitate
and remaining days
on Earth numbered
starting with zero, not very great,
now this extinct reptile
hoop heed dead gratefully,
express message, and clearly articulate.

I was blessed to officiate at our son (Ryan’s) and his now wife (Amy’s) wedding yesterday…the only person at the wedding who was turned the other way.
From my unique perspective I was acutely and proudly aware
of Amy…of Ryan…of our families…and of all their friends and families seated there.
If you watch the news you might conclude that love in this world is on the decline…
but turned the other way at a wedding…I assure you…love…is doing just fine.
At their wedding love was palatable…you could feel it in the air…
It was in every smile, every touch, every kiss…it was literally…everywhere.
You could feel it beginning to swell even before the ceremony had begun…
It was in the silent hugs between a mother and her daughter…
and a mother and her son.
It was in the eyes of the parents as…for their children…a new day was about to dawn…
Happy for the moment…wondering where the time had gone.
It was how we paused a moment…to enjoy a moment that will never again repeat…
it was in how we remembered Amy’s Granny up in heaven…
even saved her a front row seat.
It was in the tears of two mothers as they watched their son and daughter on this momentous day…and in the tears of a father as he stepped up and gave his daughter away.
It was reflected in Ryan and Amy’s eyes…and in the eyes of all in attendance too
It hung in the air in silence the moment they said ‘I do’.
It was in Sue and Rob and Deborah as they joined me…
sharing a final moment together before the ceremony was done…
Holding each other in a circle of love…two families…now one.
And it continued at the reception…all the different types of love I found…
everywhere I looked…every time I turned around.
Yes, I was happily reminded that love is thriving
while officiating Amy and Ryan’s wedding yesterday….
happy to see love in it’s endless shapes and sizes…
all while turned the other way.

Unsteadily he walks down the linen aisle
On his right arm the pride and joy of his life,
Proud he is, you can see it in his broad smile
A young man at the altar will make her his wife.
Sounds of the Wedding March reverberate
Around the walls of the old, ornate cathedral,
And the priest stands tall, ready to officiate
The papers have been signed, and it’s all legal.
He glances out the corner of his eye and sees
The mother-of-the-bride seated near the front,
She’s the most beautiful lady present, if you please,
Since the day they stood at the baptismal font.

Dear Michael*,
Your name is derived from the heavens, and worn by God's trusted and reliable angel. When a battle over Persia proved to be too great for Gabriel, Michael came to the rescue. Your parents had very good reasons to name you such, and their expectations will not be denied.
Michael, do not fear or dread any loses you may have incurred on the
road to victory. Do not allow your enemy to overcome you by the accusations he makes against you. Remember that your enemy's
best shot is the only weapon with which he has to fight.
Michael, you cannot stop your accuser who targets you, but Christ alone is your great defender. One Biblical psalmist has said that when he is overwhelmed, he goes to the Rock. The battles that you have fought are only preludes to the wars that you will surely win.
Michael, in years gone by, I watched you pray with little warriors on the basketball court. You were the official blowing the whistle on chargers, walkers, foul plays, and other violations. On the court as well as in life, the true winners are not those who merely end up with the most points. We learn much from the games we officiate as well as from the many games of life that we play. In the real world where God has placed us, life is so much more than a game we play or a sport. No, it's not whether we fouled, or charged, or walked, but whether we heard the whistle blow.
Michael, I do not know what you are going through in this season of your life. I simply want you to know that God has placed you on my heart, and I am praying for you.
